I was here that night, a young ignorant snotty-nosed teenager, and the Goose let things loose. Seen them dozens of times and this was atop the greatest, except one at the KY/VA Fairgrounds years later. Freakout boys!
I'm from Canada and been listening to GCS since the early 70s. Dosn't get more real and pure than this. Working in Australia now and I'm spreding the words of Goose Creek down under:)
I used to have to ride my god dam bike to high school everyday ( in phoenix , 1971 ) and they had a great big school bus parked on the side of the road and I passed it every day for a long time. Painted G.C. tan and big blue letters on the side , the G.C. signature.just like on their first album. that caught my interest. I was 13 , and just starting to "smoke". I always thought they were from Phoenix.
Willard still lives in Scottsdale, Charlie went to Mesa, high in the late 50's he divides his time between fly fishing for steelhead in Wash. state and the Prescott area, Pearl lives in Prescott and plays in a band called Doc Garvey's Remedy.
They are so good it’s crazy, I remember when they got back together and played at prestonsburg High school . Well Charlie and Willard played that night . But Charlie told us it was happening. Getting Perl and some of the other original musicians back playing,. I had heard it for years and didn’t believe until that night
I'll always be a Goose head sure is a sad thing that there will no G O T L this year hope all is well with Charlie and the boys maybe will see them in the fall GOOSE GOOSE GOOSE....
