- Testing the 0 to 60mph speed on my 72v BAC4000 Sur Ron.
🚨 This test does not give justice to the bike's potential, my maximum speed is limited to 65 mph, if I limited the top speed to 80 and increased my power output, I would be getting about half the 0-60 time. More of that to come. This is simply a display of what you get with reasonable power settings.

I’m a 61 year old Florida Harley guy but having just discovered ebikes, I really enjoy your channel. So far, I’ve taken my 20 year old Key West cruiser and bolted on a couple 1200w hub mount motors, getting up to about 40mph and am hooked on the (near) silent riding experience. May be getting one of these real soon.
I sold 2 to guys just like you. One is my dad. I drive mine to work every day in amish country Indiana. Want to know who likes ebikes? Amish like and buy a lot of ebikes, not like this though.
@@jasonstewart3748 that's interesting because I was born in Lancaster, PA, the informal Amish capitol. After age 3 though, I grew up in Los Angeles, lived in the UK for awhile and am now in Orlando FL which of course got me started with electric vehicles (golf carts lol) which I also have. Our new Costco just opened here (Melbourne FL) and they briefly had a couple nice ebikes so waiting to see if they bring them back.

It's cool to see OGs like you willing to try out the new technology they got. Too many refuse to try anything new or modern, and I think they're missing out on a lot of fun. Tesla owners and politics have ruined the idea of electric vehicles for a lot of people which is kinda sad.

Yeah that was definitely pretty impressive. Around the same 0-60 as my car, probably a little bit faster. 2008 V6 charger.
It's electric single gear though, makes it kinda unfair when the torque doesn't have to be carefully maintained with proper gear shifts.

Really nice machine. It’s amazing how much power you get in such a light machine these days, maybe some carbon part swaps to decrease weight further? You could also maybe do a front plastic/headlight assembly to decrease drag

My custom built ebike has 500w motor hub and 48v lifepo4 battery and its hitting 50mph+.. I'm expecting more from Sur Ron but its a great edbike that makes me want to have one now

I’d love to try the bike with supermoto wheels and sprocket. Mine is super fast up to 80kmh (around 50mph) and then the acceleration slows down. But hey, I’m not going that fast very often when riding off-road 😝

At full compression those forks will hit the mudguard with the lower arch if the travel hasn't been limited

Very happy, the range is really good. I got about 60 miles no charge with it. I have bac 8000. You can also get the touring, my friend has it and the range is even better

Would you recommend this bike for a 6’3 rider???
The Talaria is almost the exact same bike but a bit larger for taller riders.
I'm 6'1" and find my stock Surron comfortable enough... but you can buy riser bars and lower footpegs... and also seat height extenders to find the perfect position.
