The correct answer to "how am i just learning about this now?" Is "glad youre here now, we can use all the help we can get, thanks for being here.". The only reason i know about this stuff is that i kept up with politics as a hobby(life of the party, i know), and not everyone has the time or the willingness to make that a part of their lives, which is reasonable. That they are paying attention now, matters.
It's so frustrating trying to get others to care about politics.tbh when it comes to gaza I have a hard time explaining why I'm so passionate(even too myself without seeming arrogant or holier than thou
Ah! I'm never this early! Thank you for dropping this, perfect listening material while I garden. Thank you all for continuing to educate us!! Much appreciation!
Avid listener here from the Philippines. Really learning a lot and can relate in many levels to the imperialism topics because we've been a victim of it, 300 years from Spain, then later on several years by Japan and USA. And it's just so disheartening that the effects of imperialism on our country is making it hard for us to really progress.
As a veteran I only keep close contact with my fellow vets, and try to expose them to this type of content. Unfortunately almost all of them keep their eyes closed to this and keep their pride of service.. such a hard bitter pill to swallow.
Excelent show. I have not seen this discussion anywhere decent. This is a decent place with excellent experts. The fight is a moral fight, against the savagery of Capital
Another amazing video and given Jennifer's PhD. work and on the ground experience in palestine, really hope she can continue to offer such valuable insight.
Another awesome interview Thanks Greg Jennifer Cassidy is an international treasure. I would also like to reiterate its the center!!! not the left or the hard right although almost rightists sell out cheap. 🙏🌻🐝❤️
Thanks Greg, interesting discussion with a great guest but Crimea was not annexed. The Crimea had autonomy from Ukraine and it's own parliament since independence in 1991, they held a referendum after the 2014 coup and the population overwhelmingly voted to join The Russian Federation and the parliament complied with the wishes of the Crimean people.
Sure russian troll bot, more putin-written propaganda. No democracy on earth accepted that referendum, it was as false as Stoker's nonsense he spews on every topic.
Do you think "Israel’s" loss of soft power combined with a failing ( 🤞) economy will force a military change of tactics? I've noticed an 'increase' (lol) in emigration already and a 'widening' of conscription standards which shows a socital shift.
It's crazy how they made a big thing of picking up and leaving Afghanistan... with the airplane and ppl on top of it while it was leaving... only to find out we STILLhave boots there!!!
Greg should ask Jennifer for a letter of recommendation to Irish universities to finish his bachelors and go onto a PhD. They would probably be happy to offer him full ride scholarships.
I did an essay on the whole 'just following orders' thing my course was on Arents book. Turns out it never works in the past let's hope it doesn't work this time
Oh boy… How many times did Greg try to bring her back to talk about ‘soft power’, she can’t stay on track. She just wants to talk about herself and her experiences 😅
This is going to sound harsh, but to be honest, this video confirms my past experience that scholars and academics - even in diplomacy apparently - frequently lack basic communication skills. Saying that your guest has a tendency to ramble and go on tangents is quite the understatement. Overall I love your content and agree with your viewpoint, but I think these podcasts would be more effective if they were shorter, less improvisational, and more focused as to topics of discussion. I know you're trying to be as respectful as possible of your guests - which I admire - but a good host needs to not be afraid to bail someone out when they're meandering, and proactively steer the discussion to keep things on track. Looking forward to seeing how your show evolves.
Downvoted only because I personally really like the long form stuff.. I think everyone sticks to the same general topic just fine.. a rant here n there is cool too! And Greg’s punk/dark comic relief is always welcome!
@@gracefulliving2023 SoooooSlow.... So egocentric ! Detracting wasted energy. If you don't get it, don't like it ; Move the F over and let the rest of us benefit.
@@gracefulliving2023 What you saw as ' ramble ' and tangents, I appreciated as scope and depth from people eminently experienced and qualified to bring it. What you could do constructively is listen to Jennifer again and go research her points of reference, there's a lot there, necessary to comprehend, then you too might share my appreciation. Same goes for the other detractors. I was on a short wick today/most days lately, so I apologise for getting ' personal '.
@@emeraldkendell1577 I didn’t say anything about ramble and tangents, it was a different post. We are all on the edge, and I know how you feel when Zionist bots are attacking me and others. I suggest that we mutually delete this thread, not to give them reasons for gloating 🙌🏻

Greg, how do you find all these smart, articulate women while so many other RUclips channels are such sausage fests? Good on ya.

People love to regurgitate what they think sounds right. They should think before they speak. It keeps them like sheep.

G-SIDE As long as you dont call it the G-spot.. though its obvious Israel cant locate it on a map.

This woman's thoughts are all over the place sheesh
She is kind of difficult to follow, but the 'straight' path doesn't have as much bonus information.
