The Skyline is heading out to the East Waikele area where it is being developed. That area is supposed to be our 2nd city in about 10 to 20 years from now. The weather is nice all year round. This is a great place to retire and many people are coming from all over the world to retire here. The only problem is that everything is so expensive here. Thank you for your comments.
The windward side accumulates the most moisture due to its exposure to air originating over the water. As this air ascends over the initial mountain range, it undergoes a process of condensation, shedding a significant portion of its water content. Continuing its journey, traversing the second mountain range, the air undergoes further compression, leading to even drier conditions. By the time it reaches West Oahu, the air is notably dry, resulting in minimal precipitation for the land. Occasionally, there are rare occurrences when the wind direction shifts, bringing in air from the west side. During these intervals, the west temporarily assumes the role of the windward side, resulting in a surge of moisture. However, this alteration is short-lived as the prevailing winds return to their usual pattern, causing the west side to once again experience dry conditions
Sitting in the very front seat of the Skyline is perhaps the BEST view of the train. It's like you're driving it. Plus, good thing they finally added a, "please hold on" announcement after saying "doors are closing" so passengers will know to hold on when the train departs. They take off like rockets while departing and if you don't hold on, you're gonna fall.
@@HawaiiOnBudget I appreciate that but to be clear was referring to the pace of the pan, not the smoothness. A pan that is too quick can give the viewer a feeling like they were grabbed by the shoulder and pulled around.
Of course, it's empty. It's not even halfway done. Why would anyone ride it when it only goes to Aloha Stadium, which is currently shut down? lol... whenever it's completed to the airport and towards downtown, ridership will sky rocket, and the benefits will finally come. But we still have 8 years until that happens hahah,and hopefully aloha stadium is open again when it's finished
I had lived in Aiea 1971-1974 so was pretty familiar with the roadways there. Sure interesting to see what looks like a great and very modern rail system there. which is now open.
@@HawaiiOnBudget no, not the HUD, but the shaded neon(..?) lighting; watch it, and you'll see it scroll forward only (marquee-like even) yet at various speeds -- even the surroundings appear to go dark when switched off...
@@mrxman581 I wondered..although the immediate vicinity also not being lit up muddles me..plus the fact that its speed changes while only being unidirectional, one-way 👀
Am the only one that can’t work out why a train view video, on a new line, and they didn’t sit at the front despite the seat being available!!! I ended up turning off - seemed pointless

My suggestion would be to do the pans slower. The feeling of being swung back and forth can be disconcerting.
I am only using my hands so it is not so smooth. I am hoping to find a gadget to make it smoother in the future.

Rail does not cover the useful area as of yet. It needs to be operational to in town area for it to become useful for many. 😔

It is the led read out announcing the stops and such, which the camera is not able to capture properly. 😔
