- ECU MK1 Compacts Review - I was lucky enough to get my hands on a set of Edwards Custom Upgrades MK1 Compacts to check out and do a review on....the only downside is after getting my hands on these I now want a set of my own!

Great alarms. The only down side is the look of them. They look very similar to much older alarms, meaning most younger “tackle tarts” may over look them.
I enjoyed mine while I used them. Never any major issues. And anything that I did have issues with Scott was able to sort out for me. I had the higher end version of this model. Lots of custom options with them. Solid alarms.
What are you using for alarms this year Joel?
@@NathanKCutler last year I used the Sonik Gizmo system. This year I’m trying out the Delkim TXi-D system. Video coming soon. But With some many options on the market I enjoy trying out what is on offer to us. It’s part of carp angling, trying out gear and testing them to the limits.
I’d like to get a set of delkims. With the rod regulations being amended this year for carp anglers in Ontario it will be an expensive year going from 1 rod to being able to use 3. 😂
@@NathanKCutler is it changing to 3? I did hear of that. Thought it was only 2 rods. Either way fantastic news.... and a little costly also. 🤣🤣🤣🎣
Yeah we originally thought they were increasing it to two but when the final announcement came out it was 3. Going to make for an exciting year.

Very very nice alarms bud they are sought after here in the uk they can be customised different front speaker covers and snag ears etc they are certainly a quality product great review nathan and i hope they are lucky for u and help u land plenty of carp cheers
What set alarms do you currently use?
@@NathanKCutler ive actually got a few sets of alarms lol i have delkims and prologic smx sets and my favourite at the moment are my stainless steel gardeners tlbs ive also got fox ones i use for my pike fishing i seem to hoard angling equipment like a lot of anglers do cheers bud

These look really nice but for a custom alarm that should be well thought out, why on earth is the on off switch that way around! Loads of alarms are like it to be fair but it’s more likely to get knocked to the on position in your bag where it’d be almost impossible to turn it off. Why not put it the other way around so if you put it away still turned on there’s a chance it’d get turned off, instead of putting it way turned off but with a good chance of it being turned on 🙄
