I have come to the conclusion that there are some very angry and depressed individuals out there whose sole purpose in life is to bring others down to their level. They go from one video to another and just hit the thumbs down button out to vent thier hostility. I suspect these are the same people who deliberately urinate all over the toilet seats in public restrooms. I wish I could help them.
A High C is well within the range of a trumpet player. For fun, also listen to Jurassic Park, which features a High C as well for the trumpets. Both scores were written by John Williams. Keep practicing! In fact, shoot, please upload a video of you playing!
Any and all 1st trumpet players should have a SOLID high C that doesn't fall flat or go sharp. Going beyond that is starting the high range and the road takes a different twist.
The attempts I have heard of this solo that most impress me are when some sounds as if they have complete command and control. This is one of those times. Well done!! Enjoyed listening to this, immensely.
Hearing this reminds me of those times where when I play, I get an uncharacteristically good sound quality out of nowhere and I’m like “Wow! I just did that!” Anyways you are incredible on those high notes man
Is this played on a C trumpet? And is the music shown in C trumpet as well? Very nice playing btw. The room really adds to the clarity and purity of your tone.
OR . You could read it here and "memorize" it . Novel idea huh ? OR go look at this guy play this in a manly instrument in the correct key. antonio giuffredi trumpet - he is spectacular.
Excellent tone. The long tones are obviously there to build that kind of a sound. Could you play the dotted rhythms more triumphant and staccato? I feel if you played them more staccato it would add to that triumphant feeling a little more and add the little touch to your playing. Gret job man, be proud of that.
@@bna8259 First off, criticism is essential for growth, especially in music. Secondly, No, I have no need to offer you a link to my recording, I am a teacher. My performance quality, while still at a moderately high level, is not my strongest ability in music. Thirdly, what do you take offense with that I said? Lastly, this idea of "If you dont have a video of you doing it better than your input is invalid" makes no logical sense and I would encourage you to move away from that train of thought. I listen to these videos because I love having my students listen to people who play this well, but I also want to offer feedback, when a performer is that good I want to hear them push into that next level. If it wasnt clear, I think he played incredible.
@@Darksage5555 Criticism is essential for growth. There are forums for that. YT is not one of them. Unsolicited criticism is just self serving. Surely you understand the concept of credibility? A 6 year old could make a valid observation about this performance, but no one has any reason to acknowledge it if he cant even play a major scale. If you're going to be so bold as to offer unsolicited criticism, the least you could do is back it up through your own playing. From what you described, it sounds like you'd benefit from some feedback. Now would be an excellent opportunity to start publishing videos.
@@bna8259 Of course I would benefit from feedback, everyone would, everyone does. I recieve feedback on my teqching practices as much as I can. Thank you but sometimes dislikes are from interpretation. Everyone plays it different. 😊

When he plays high notes... his tone is so good it sounds like a flute kinda
This song has been ingrained into my brain after 1,000,000 wedge mouthpiece ads.
OKAY THANK YOU LEGENDARY
That Wedge ad sounds incredible.

Leave it to the internet to offer criticism when none is solicited. Care to link us to your recording of this piece?

Sir, well played. I'm curious, was this played on a B-flat Trumpet, or C Trumpet?
C trumpet, and the notation is concert pitch.
