Anyone else think that was a long pause? Lol
Shes high
She's finding a right word to use I think? xD
In the Amazon forest. Because its full of camels there
When they group hugged him and he giggled. That is what food is about.
Probably out of discomfort. From what I have read and heard that kind of physical contact isn't something they like between friends.
Probably they said in the heart “WHAT THE HELL I JUST EATING RIGHT NOW?”
He's just ticklish.
Hugs and giggles. McDonald’s I’m loving it
Makes sense now

"It's not a marketing ploy." Yes it is.
The Kirby T How can it be a marketing ploy if they're not advertising it?
Meghan Hirsh then what is this video?
Pleeeease, it's a marketing ploy. Food's good, but its faux-secret nature attracts alot of douche types.
The Kirby T exactly...why did you invite them if you only want "your friends" to know about this place lol
How can it be a marketing ploy when it results in fewer customers?

Well i think this is like when people find secret passage ways in their home they do it because it is cool and belive no one would know it from the video and a extra point i still dont know where the resturant is.
"No you see that wasnt a marketing ploy but this one is, bring all your internet friends to our eatery"
You still cant just walk in the door because you saw a youtube video, so how is it marketing? Changes nothing
@@orlandoalessandrini2505 they're... (gawd dayum!)
The thing I like so much about this episode is that they left with a new understanding in food, and were so clearly overjoyed by that. Brent's reaction to the last steak is so wholesome, just such a wholesome episode.
I was about to comment the same thing! Such a heartwarming level of respect that was shown to the young chef. Being able to set your pride down and allow yourself to learn something new every day, even if you think you already know it.. is such a show of class and professionalism and there are way too many people who don't have that in them.
I love how chefs appreciate each other
This is Eater’s best series
I like that chef

I must honestly say, that these videos are very rare, because they are the only ones, where they are able to describe how does it actually taste so you can imagine. Always fun to watch, greetings from Czech Republic.
Love the respect they have for eachother & wiliness to learn.
A great chef will not leave out any tips and tricks when explaining their dishes...props to this dude
I saw someone comment once on one of these eater/behind the restaurant scene videos and it went something like this "Notice how he isn't scared of sharing his entire recipe and all his tips because he knows that it takes years of practice and hard work to even be able to come close to replicating what he's doing"
“ in 2 years we will have a restaurant in the amazon”

Exclusiveness is so cool! Just makes you feel sooo special.
"It's not a marketing ploy" correct it is the Brooklyn Mindset that has gone malignant.
Sounds like a person who didn't have any friends growing up opened this place
no, rather had many, too many "friends"..
'we're so secret that you cant come unless you know somebody who's been before. oh and we're going to invite some youtubers in for a video to tell you about this non-marketing ploy' - such a NYC marketing ploy move.
The best Eater episode so far, culinary brilliance, yum!!!
After he tried the Tar Tar and went for the hug Hahahahahaha had me dying!
Ahhh that Philippe shirt! My favorite french dip spot in SoCal. If you have never been, then you just don't know.
That "thank you" fight at the end tho~ 😂
The chef is so Japanese. It's pretty funny.
Wow! This is so awesome. Love the whole concept of this restaurant. The raw beef dishes look amazing.
Great new series. Love these two.
Thanks, Michael!
This is one of the most painfully hipster concepts ive ever seen
Nice job from the hosts allowing the chef to talk when he wants. Many hosts are consumed with what they want to say and not realizing viewers want to get the information from the person making the food. Also I noticed the chef had braces, I hope he didn't just have an adjustment because that can make eating quite the pain. The food quality here is just next level. I would love to have had all that food to myself
Well said.
That guy was so sweet and kind / love this
I like the chef's passion for the food.... FOOD 🤤
I like the host, respecting and they have cooking knowledge.
I can relate to the people not liking raw meat. I was one of them. However, my taste changed radically when I first visited Japan. If you taste this kind of meat, in Kobe let's say, it will change your world... Tartar is still a challenge for me if the beef is not of supreme quality. I can't hear anyone complaining for sushi though. And raw fish is far more dangerous from raw beef. Adapt and try new experiences guys. For sure it will not kill anyone if the quality and the preparation is such...
im gona correct you there now if we are talking about raw fish for SUSHI then no, it is WAY safer to eat it raw than meat. Now eating raw fish that is not sushi grade (lets say just out of a lake) then it is very dangerous but then again who really does this. So there you go yes fish is technically more unsafe to eat, but that's usually not sushi grade and no one really eats raw fish that isn't meant for sushi (at least not supposed to). As for the beef i mean there's plenty of e-coli going around so i would also have to get that "sushi" graded very easy to do aswell
@@joseaguirre9389 yeah sushi grade is safe, but it's easier in general for pathogens to get into fish. Beef is so dense that pathogens can't get into the inside of it. And the outside, as long as you get your meet from good places, will be clean. Sushi grade fish have to meet insane standards that beef does not have to meet to be safe to eat.
Raw fish is frozen to a temperature that kills the parasites and bacteria. It's ok to be smart just did a video about this. So sushi is not exactly like taking a fish out of the water cleaning and eating it raw.
Here in Germany we eat raw Pork :D, It's not a new invention! Ofcourse it has special regulations ^^
a lot of respect there. dude beautiful content !
These two could act Home Alone 3 as the two bad guys lololol. Just love these vids
“NYC’s Most Secret Restaurant”

I like his mustache for sure 1 day he will forget to wear that
...another fun vid, thx guys. )

Jesus Christ, you're not gonna die from eating raw beef, especially beef at this quality, some people...
Enjoy your leather.
Then you obviously have no idea how to enjoy such a beautiful piece of beef.. oh well, if you like it that way, be my guest :D
RBuckminsterFuller ahahahha
So beef at amazing quality will kill you?
Cedrick Martinez Reyes why should we care about your health? you have poor taste in food lol.
The “have to know someone” rule is very loose. Pretty much anyone can get in here, it’s more to give an appearance of exclusivity, I’ve been here btw. Sushi Saito in Tokyo has a rule similar to this but it actually is nearly impossible to get into. Also the “super rare” washugyu is American angus cross bread with wagyu. There’s plenty of joints around that sell pure bred wagyu. Including bohemian I think since they are behind JPB shop.
That beef tartar sandwich looks incredible
The level of humbleness in dis video 👍
does anyone know where this restaurant is in nyc?
5:30 thats called MAILLARD REACTION
Nick Solares taught me everything I know. ;)
I literally spit my drink after that hug from the tar tar lol
6:07 at first the chef was like "tf you tryna do?" when the host came in for a hug
I need this in my life right now.
Thank you for watching!
Hipsters that are senior citizens freak me out haha
They are called hippies
Well I mean technically these guys are thecreators of hipster, hippies were popularized in america during the Vietnam war

Replacement hipsters.
How are these ppl senior citizens? They’re 30-40 lol
3:40 we do that everyday here in Belgium, its called "Americain toast" or "Toast Cannibal", ground beef, with mayo/tartare, capres, seasoning, splurge of mustard and worchestire sauce, on a grilled toast, with some pickles and small round raw onions.
Its been a good century and a half that you can find this kind of thing in Butchery shops or Sandwicheries, Americain is by far one of the top 5 charcuterie to go on a sandwich/toast, with club mayo, tuna mayo, BLT and Curry chicken ( and not forgeting salami and mozz...)
I love this channel

Put it on a sandwich with plain untoasted bread, cheap mustard, and that shitty american cheese from walmart
I'd do it. I like my steak with pink, not red. Still possible to make a great steak and have it almost well done
"I know a man that trained to be a came"
The pause made it wierd.
4:20 finally something getting heated 😂
Having lived in Kobe I loved to see that chef in a group hug like that - PDAs and closeness and touching in that way are usually frowned upon and I giggled inside because I knew he felt odd and uncomfortable but in a good way. I remember my steep learning curve when I first arrived and literally had to forget all my American ways lol. Anyway looks amazing shame I don’t know anyone that could get me in there for dinner. I bet if you gotta ask the price then you can’t afford it though
Trailblazers, they put the Americas on the east and Asia, Europe and Australia on the west (wall map). Edgy
This is the single most pretentious restaurant I have ever heard of
It's New York City, what do you expect? It's obviously geared towards yuppies.
That last cut was a cheap cut of meat, but since its wagyu i bet they charge like crazy for it
If you're talking about the fact you need to be invited by someone who has been there, It's not pretentous. They're not excluding anyone.
It's more like you need to be shown where it is because most of these places have on signage and hidden down some ally-way.
There are heaps of little bars and restaurants like that in Japan but if you do rock up at their door they won't turn you away.
Can you recommend any in Japan?

Prime Time is a fantastic program!
After they hugged him he’s like ok let me go be busy over here
I only watch shows about food to read people in the comments section arguing about shit that's 100% subjective.
This is awesome, I'd love to meet the 2 owners.
Why, do you want to act like an elitist as well?
That Philippe’s T-Shirt reminds me that i need to stop by on my way home from college
3:50 Your friend cooking burgers: they’re done bro chill
My "uncle" took me to a secret restaturant once.
A camel that can take your through the sahara desert in the amazon.. OK
My first wagyu i ate my words for it
Its as people say the butter of steaks/meat
Its so soft and easier to eat than normal beef meat
Usually I think, “that looks really good, but I’m not gonna die if I don’t have it”. I really am worried what will happen to me if I never have that tartare sandwich!
weirdest business ambition
Do the producers of this show just walk into a hipster bar and pick these guys blindfolded like a roulette ? I think so
no they get them at organic farmers markets
I love the hug. lol
I would never eat the tartar, but that cooked steak...yum!
Trust a Japanese chef to take an amazing ingredient and celebrate it so simply in their cooking. They take care of their produce
The person you should be hugging is the farmer
I'm salivating lol!
That chef looks like 23, he is gunna live for sooo much longer and make up so many more different meals. Im so jealous.
Sitting down at a fancy restaurant, smiling at the steak and keeping the smile when you eat it, but then it disappears when the bill comes. 😢
