Going on the dark web or using Tor isn’t illegal, it’s only illegal once you download/buy/take part in/etc something illegal. Though a lot of the dark web is just scamming and honeypots, so it’s not like you’re just going to stumble upon a snuff film or something ( and even if there was a snuff film, they likely wouldn’t be posting it to the public and it would cost a lot of money to view)

the '.onion' in the TOR (the tool commonly used to access these 'hidden' sites) domains is referring to the multiple layers of IP address obfuscation and anonymisation the program carries out every time you make a connection to these sites - which is also another reason why bad actors use this service as it can protect your identity from authorities, etc.

Harry was right, the surface web has a lot more contents than the dark web. This is because the dark web uses an onion traffic route that's not easily obtainable like the way how hosting and domains were. This is also because of how the indexing works in a normal web, where everything gets indexed as long as the robots.txt of those websites or pages are set to indexing, whereas the dark web does not have a wide-range indexing.
Where do you think all cloud saves go that's just one example of what makes the unlisted more than the listed aka normal web. There is no need talk about onion traffic and that other stuff dark/deep reality and what it actually is gets lost alot . One thing many also get wrong is thinking majority of drugs sold online are from the darknet but the truth of the situation any drug is Google search away you will find thousands and thousands of real websites with real communities ext ext dark/deep web is literally just unlisted.
harry is wrong tho. there is more content on the dark web bc running a website on there is free and a lot easier and more relieable. in my experience the dark web has offered me more
@@awex7 no he is right, the deep web is anything not indexed by a search engine so stuff like your own email or netflix as if you were able to type an address into google and get into their email it would be fucked. The deep web is 96% of the internet whereas the dark web is only a small percent of that, around 2-3%, and is accessed via .onion links

I remember one story my ex girlfriend told me about her stepbrother, he was a massive tech nerd and junkie, he managed to get onto the dark web looking for drugs and other illegal substances, he found someone who was selling what he thought was coke he ordered it and it arrived in this old shoebox, he thought it was coke until the seller sent him a massage weeks after my ex’s stepbrother had snorted it all, he asked him if he enjoyed the white stuff and proceeded to tell him it was actually human bone marrow he had being snorting, the seller then decided to stalk him for a week or two until my ex’s bro got the cops involved he got some jail time I think and the seller ended up getting away I think till this day still creeps me out and this video made me remember that 😂
