Everyone rushing for battery cars and no one tells the truth that diesel are more eco friendly than electric. Isn't it right there is no way to recycle batteries so another quango. And the destruction of original cars like any classic for a battery is scaralidge

So, which one is funner? An instant 500hp to the wheels and 800 foot pound of torque, and no fuel bill, or a slow stinky diesel?

@@jessestone3915 They are the way forward, literally. The advancement of solid state batteries(Samsung) is insane, and is going to be the norm very soon. Even without solid state some EV's are getting 600 miles on a charge, that costs $20 to charge. IN the US it costs roughly $60-$120 for 300-400 miles for gas, even more for diesel, that is 6-12 times more expensive per mile.
I have a few ICE race/show cars, but nothing puts a smile on my face, or turns more heads, than my 64 Nova 2 door post on accuair, with a RWD 536HP tesla motor that turns a 7 second 1/4 mile. People who build race cars want speed, and if a motor that ran off horse shit made more gains, people would be putting horse shit in their cars. People who commute want efficiency and reliability. EVs destroy ICE in speed, torque, efficiency, reliability and maintenance.

@@jessestone3915 No other means of propulsion is being seriously considered to power future cars at the moment. Even green hydrogen is a poor alternative with no major investment being made. Toyota are close (3 to 4 years?) away from the first models with solid state batteries and those really are a major step forward in every meaningful respect.
Nonetheless, capitalism is incapable of reigning itself in…greed rules and hence our species is hurtling to its’ own destruction via the god of growth. Poisoned air, poisoned water, animal farming and depleted fish stocks. All of those are in a far worse state than appears in your Daily Mail. To do your bit, be vegan, don’t fly and buy a bicycle. We’ve had the best of it if consumption seemed best to you. But being frugal is fun. Working less is better. These are the most revolutionary acts you can indulge in.
