Hello Mighty Mamas ,Dads & People! Today's video is super special because it's a collab with my guuurrrl Meriana from Fearfully Created!! Love her so much! I really hope this Hoarder Pantry Declutter was helpful for you or just helped you to feel less alone! Thank you all so much for being here! Love you all so much! 🤎💪🙏🦋
I feel like you are still in a phase where you just move things from one place to another. I hope in youre journey you can start to get to real decluttering. I'm rooting for you!! You are already doing great ☺️
I hoard plastic bags BUT it's all about using them! I use them to take out the trash, I use them as trash bags for those little bins in the bathroom, I use them for decluttered items (I take stuff in it to goodwill). Highly recommend!!!
Three tips to share: 1- you can clean on a different day from the declutter to spread the energy out 2- pit heavy items like cans and jars on the floor or lower down 3- as you start using up some of your overstock, you can start putting the oldest can or box at the front of the row so it's easy to tell what needs to get used up first. Wishing you the best!
It's so amazing to me how other mothers like yourself declutter just the same way that I do. Right down to the sitting on the floor and moving the cans to their sections.
We are so different lol I cannot take breaks I cannot stop, when I decide to do something I need to give it my all and do it until it’s perfect even if it keeps me up till 4 am
You and Marina are my cleaning gal pals. Since I got covid in April my life has been nuts. I’m just now getting off oxygen. Sometimes you girls wear me right out and I have to pause you. Lol . I love your goofy families and messy homes. It’s so good to be reminded my home isn’t the only one that’s actually lived in. I love listening listening to your stories and thoughts. Thanks you much for helping me through the last few months. If you girls ever do Bible study or exercises for depression or whatever, please share. Merry Christmas ❤️
I'm so impressed! This is 3+ hours of binge watching I've done while it's raining in the SE. You have been hard at work and I appreciate you sharing your life and minimalism goals with us. You are a rock star ⭐!!! Thank you, Laura.
You did a great job and well done. My advise, would be to look at your organized pantry weekly before doing a grocery shop and see what you have and include it in meal plans, so you're not over buying something and that food doesn't expire and go to waste. Basically, start using what you have as I notice most items will last maybe 2 years max, help to rotate your stock.
Been decluttering until I fell off my porch and down 5 agregate concrete steps. Landed on asphalt. Ok but sore and stiff. Now just cooking, doing laundry, straightened, then next week I will do deeper cleaning. Thanks for motivation and your hard work. Admire you, Shane from Middle Tennessee. A 66 year old female
I do still collect SOME bags from the store because we use them for the cats litter boxes. I have been trying to use reusable canvas and paper bags as much as possible.
I just sent a message to Marina the other day telling her how much you and her have gotten me up off my ass to clean my house I don’t have depression or anything like that but I have extreme anxiety and I am extremely OCD and I have chronic fatigue syndrome but listening to you both while I clean it’s making me get my house back in order love you both
I'm loving this motivation! We recently moved our old fridge to our mudroom, I had put off doing it for soooo long because I knew it would be a big job taking everything out in order to unplug it and move it. I finally got the courage to do it one day and my kitchen looked just like that! Every single inch of our counters were filled with food containers, etc. But it was worth it! Afterwards I felt so accomplished and realized it wasn't as hard as I had thought it would be. Anxiety does get in the way a lot, it's just getting past that first step of starting the job. You're so right about the momentum that follows that first step.
A few years ago I did this journey I really explored what works for me Not what's trendy and new. I really went outside of box on functionality of everything. I repeatedly go back on this and determine if it's still serving me. I now can clean my whole home in an hr..if I get behind it might take 3-4 hrs and I can split it up into 2 days and this is with a 2 and 4 year old. I really decluttered downsized and kept all my very favorite items that I used I find my antiques are usually my most versatile pieces for storage ect. So my house has turned out really neat looking and unusual but cozy even tho minimal. But better yet easier to take care of. I actually am watching this to see how I'll react to it. Clutter and any type of hoarding triggers my anxiety and depression it is also connected to trauma and living in a situation where no matter what I did it felt like chaos. I will admit it's hard to watch I'm not joking! I'm really proud of you and think it's amazing for sharing this. it can be so overwhelming and even knowing where to start And some people really don't understand. But wow it sure feels amazing my anxiety is not cured but its almost non existent. I like how you give the message of consistency in effort even if it takes a few days keep visualizing it done. Perseverance. Set aside some time and do what you can. It really can transform your life! Thanks for the content.
I seriously need to declutter my kitchen cupboards!! Not that there is a lot of stuff but the cupboards are not organized to my liking! I keep putting off reorganizing....your comment about " just go and start even if you only do a little" resonated with me - I am OCD - it's 9:18PM so I will start this in the morning!! Thanks for the pep talk 😊. Your Pantry looks fabulous!!
Awsome job. The little tea towels tucked away can be attached with some s hooks and utilize verticle space. Just grab and go...awsome ideas. Angels were singing to me at the end.cant wait to see the pretty up pantry.
I love Merina! She is so much fun. Y'all are my favorites on RUclips! Love you guys sooo much & y'all help w/ my mental health. God works through you two so much.
new subscriber here. I happen to come across your living room cleaning and Christmas decorating video. I am a newer Merina subscriber as well. I love her and her family. They are just so awesome, wholesome and in so many ways relatable. You had great things to say about Merina and her family. Funny how you two are great supporters of each other and have collaborated together. This is my second vid of yours I watched and I like your vibe. I also have anxiety, depression and adhd, which I was diagnosed with all within the last 3 years. So I am still navigating life and learning about myself and all the symptoms that comes with it. As a single full time mom of 3 kids in their late teens, I at least don’t have to deal with loads of laundry, toys and meals that come along when having younger children. However, no matter how old the kids are, there is always the guilt of feeling like not doing enough for your kids. Especially, when I did everything and some before my mental health issues. Also, I never saw myself as a perfectionist. Before my diagnosis’, family and friends would comment on my OCD tendencies and now that I think about it, I believe it’s my “perfectionist” side that holds me back if I can’t do something at 110% perfect. Thanks for giving me that insight into myself. I’ll look more into how to deal with it. Now I’m off to binge watch more of your vids. 💕🇨🇦
Watching you declutter your pantry gave me the urge to go and declutter mine Thankyou l follow Merina on utube shes great ! Cheers from Linda in Australia 👏🍹😊
One thing i have found is to take a picture of an item and scrapbook it. I dont have room for the stuff but I do have room for a book of all my memories.
Hi My name is Donna, I came over from Merina's channel. I have subscribed to your channel. I want to thank Merina and her beautiful family for telling me about you. God bless your family Mighty Mama and Merina and her family as well.
Hey! Hey! Donna! Thabk you and welcone to this messy house! 🤣🤣 I appreciate your being here so so sooo much! Merina is a lightbin this dark world! God bless! 🙏💪🤎🦋
Wow you did amazing . I love the meal plan baskets how clever is that . You should be so proud of your self . Can't wait to see what you do next . Iv had to do mine a bit every day . It has been so overwhelming . Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
A good tip for food, have a no buy week or month and use up as many things from the pantry, fridge and freezers as possible to try to catch up on old foods. We currently have to do it on our freezer bad.
Great job! I just did my pantry and fridge. It feels so good to have it done! We’ve eaten at home everyday since just because I was inspired by all the food that we had. How are the baskets going?
Great message about just taking that first step to tackle something ...because that tiny step isn't intimidating (even if it is, you can do it!), our overthinking and visualizing the ENTIRE project we're stressed about is what is intimidating us. I will be taking that with me and I agree, music (or listening to Russell Brand on Audible for me!) is sooo helpful :) Keep it up, you're making a difference and helping us busy Mama's so much :)
I was sooo happy to see that you had a video posted! Loving the minimal inspiration! You worked it out, no matter how long it took, bc you have a lot going on, especially with little ones in the house. Thanks for sharing your thoughts of getting started! All of your thoughts have helped me to get things done, instead of focusing on why I don't feel like doing it!!
Girl!! It felt like forever and yes having all the interruptions and distractions in between draw it out even longer but it is finally done! Thank you for being here!🙏🤎💪🦋
Your pantry looks amazing!! You might be motivating me to tackle mine 😬😄 I love how you used the organizers. I recently saw some of the clear bins with the handle/hole on the front at Family Dollar, I was surprised they were so cheap there! I bought one for our fridge. I really like the metal baskets though, they're pretty. I'm editing my comment cause I didn't wait till you were done showing us. The meal plan baskets are so smart 😲
I want to know how many times you cussed out the tripod? Also, the clip of taking out the alcohol and you "drinking" it was High-larious. I am so happy to see you get back in the groove of sharing content with all of us. Thank you!
I do keep grocery bags and use as garbage can liners. After my grocery shopping trip, I fold the bags and I keep in a dollar tree basket. I dont have a pantry. I wish I had a closet or space in my kitchen for food storage. I have 2 bookcases in the middle of the kitchen that I’m using as a pantry
I love you and Merina!! A great collab! Thank you both for keeping it real and showing us you don’t always have to be perfect! And, please yourself, not others🦋
Girl you did great. So proud of you and loving the motivation. Today I made myself finally clean my refrigerator after day after day putting it off due I would just feel like blah. But I said no get your butt together and do it. Man do I feel so much better. And I love hearing you talk. It's like I'm listening to a friend that I would call to chat with. I don't have very many, but I consider you as my long distance you tube friend. I can't wait for the next video.😇😇💕💕 Blessings my friend. ❤😘
Awwe! Thank you so much! This means the world to me! And yes we are friends! You are all my friends here too! Please send me your name! I am always here for you! We can clean together anytime! I am trying to push out more videos in a week. I may have something up myn sleeve! Stay tuned! Stay Mighty & God bless!🙏💪🤎🦋
About the plastic grocery bags: I used to accumulate them quickly and it became a space issue as they were taking up space I needed for something more important! Our grocery store began to place recycle containers, clearly marked, at the entrance door... I then began to put these bags, minus about 6, into my trunk next to my non-disposable shopping totes. When I went to get the totes, there were the plastic ones, sometimes inside the totes! Into the recycle bin they went. Made this a habit when cleaning out the garage and it has persisted. Just FYI and because you asked.
Great idea! I definitely recycle them here. I just cannot let it take over my pantry anymore. It gets so out of hand a d so quickly!🤣 Thabk you for being here!🤎🙏💪🦋
Loved the motivation. I feel the same way and keep "stuff" for memories and just because I regret it if I throw it away. You are inspiring and give me that medium approach without feeling guilty at the end of the day it's our decision to keep or toss but gentle words like yours speak to the heart of the problem of hoarding. BTW I love how you constantly talk through your videos as I'm always cleaning and listening more watching you. Thank you ❤
Your baskets for each weekday are genius! Cannot tell you how many times I went to prepare dinner to find I was missing some crucial ingredient! I am going to try this out next time I downsize/organize my pantry space. What a wonderful idea! I like how it gives one opportunity to pick up that missing item when next at the grocery- in that case, I'd switch dinner menus for a night or two in order to give myself time to purchase. It may also prevent accumulation of expired products as well. This is wonderful and thank you!
I know I am super excited for this system! Its been working great so far. I plan on Sundays and if I need anything I run out on Monday to grab those items! And then everything is planned for the week! I just thought of it when I was taking all the bins out. I thought to myself how cool would it be to have a basket for each day of the week and just throw all the meal kits inside at least for the dry goods. Including kids snacks and everything! I cant wait to do a video on this! I am so proud of my plan! I think I will share it on my instagram too. Thank you for being here! 💪🤎🙏🦋
I actually just recently purchased a wall mount canned storage rack thing. It's arriving by tomorrow. If you bought one you could get your cans off of the floor.
Have you thought of doing a no spend month? You definitely could have a short list of fresh food that you top up with but seeing that overstock makes me think of how much money you could save up! Well done for sharing your hoarding journey, I am sure it's not easy.
Hey girl! Amazing transformation! Merina sent me over and I'm glad she did! I stumbled a cross Marina's channel one day. Wasn't looking for content like this, but hey, it's what I need. I have admitted that I am a hoarder of things but it doesn't help when my husband is a hider of stuff! Very much out of sight, out of mind which to him equals tidy. He has no idea of what or where things are.🤦♀️ My cupboards and drawers are so stuffed with a multitude of crap that the everyday things get 'stuck' and becone rotated from the sofa to the table to the chair... Because they have no home. 😢 So oooo thanks to Marina, who lifts my spirits to no end , putting me in a good mood 🙏, and you breaking down the reality of your pantry organising..... I am about to tackle my under stair cupboard in the search of finding a home for things I need and love! Wish me luck! I'm about to evict some junk! I'm gonna get the dagone thing done! 👏👏👏🙏🙌❤️ I'll be checking in soon!
Amanda on this crazy life did her pantry awhile back with a really good canned food storage. I hanged on the wall so could be useful to you to save you shelf space
I had to laugh when you were talking about washing dishes, as I had decided to wash mine 2 minutes before you said it. I love your pantry organization and may borrow a few ideas from you. There is no right or wrong way to organize. It's all in what works for you. I'm a little bit ahead of you in my journey to minimalism. I'm a hoarder as well. Being where I am now, I have an easier time getting rid of things and being mindful of what I bring in. I HATE dusting! So I am slowly clearing my surfaces so it's so much easier to clean my house. I do save some plastic bags, mainly for our bathroom garbage. I am trying to remember to bring reusable bags when I shop. It also helps minimize the amount of stuff I bring home, as I have to carry it home. Keep up the great work!!
Nice job!!!!! I like it. I just wish I had a pantry to do this too myself but I don't. My kitchen is a walkthrough kitchen. Dishes and cookware on one side while I have food on the other. And that is it. My dining room is so small that I can barely get a table of any size into it and no space leftover because it is a walkthrough to the living room it loops around. from Kitchen to living room. I have just the basic living space. Plus a basement (Half is storage and the other is living space). I like what you did. Can't wait to see the rest of it.
Thank you! Well no matter what the space or size there is always a way it can be organized. Hopefully I gave you some inspiration to find what works for you on your shelves. I appreciaet you!🙏🤎💪🦋
I dream to have a built in pantry haha. I have a little tiny Meijer wooden cabinet thats thin and tall that holds all of my pantry foods and my Tupperware containers. Next house this is a must have.
Idea for serving/ party pieces. I have seen matching, large wicker baskets used for these items. They were placed on top of the kitchen cabinets with matching dish towel type dust covers and cute hang tags to describe what was in each one. This would be for rarely used items that are still needed.
Omg! First thank you so much for being here! And thank you for that tip! I wish you could share pictures here. Did you see it on pinterest? I have tons of room on top of my cabinets. Like so much its just being wasted! Thank you! Thank you! Stay Mighty & God bless!💪🙏🤎🦋
@@MightyMama no, actually my sister in law does this. I don’t have photos. She has a big kitchen but still needed more room. She had matching rectangular baskets that fit so they didn’t hang over. You could have handles as long as they were tall enough to clear your items. She used or made cotton cloths to tuck over the contents for dust. You had some nice matching gray ones I think. Then she tied hang tags at the ends ( large tags) with the items listed for each. Just for holiday serving stuff, cake stands, birthday party goods, etc. love your channel!
I use the plastic bags from the stores to organize anything I’m donating when I do quick little declutters around my home. I can’t bring myself to do one massive declutter. For example, one bag for shoes, another for toys, another for books, etc..
I started watching your channel, from Merina's suggestion. Love you so much! I did NOT know you had an Etsy shop, though! I found out through Merina's video today. Please promote your shop more, whenever you're comfortable. Hope you're having a safe and happy holiday, dear! ❤❤❤
Great video! I totally agree, just starting something whether or not you feel like it is huge. I will count down from 5 and when I get to 1, it's time. That is when I have to get up and start a task no matter what. And if you set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes to work on one task, and when the timer goes off, you move on to the next thing if you need to or time willing, finish what you started, better is better. You will find more motivation to make things "perfect" the more active you force yourself to be in house making tasks. After a while, it just becomes an effortless reflex to keep things tidy.
Hey Sarah! Thank you for being here! I love that countdown strategy. I will try that next time. And foe setting timers I really do not need ro do that because I naturally switch things up as I clean to avoid burnout of cleaning on mess. I also have ADD and get bored super fast so it is natutal for me to move around to different areas in on eroom when I clean. I always hope this doesnt make anyone dizzy or confused when I am doing my videos. Lol! You are doing so great! I love your positive attitude towards the house cleaning. We definitely need to keep moving in order to maintain it all. Stay Mighty & God bless! 💪🙏🤎🦋
@@MightyMama I envy you there! I have a very hard time walking away from things before they are just so. I always find myself obsessing until I have wasted far too much time on one task. Which makes every other task feel overwhelming. So timers help me keep on track and moving around to get all the tasks done. When I am struggling with depression or overwhelm, they are even more helpful. God has called us to serve our families and for that,I am so grateful! And anyway to help me serve them better, makes my heart overflow. So I am so grateful for the inspiration creators like you spread to other moms like me!
Pantry I found is a funny space to keep tidy, especially when I wanted to buy an extra items when it's say half price, I have a tiny pantry and keep my extra celebration/public holiday stash food in an extra cupboard stored till that event/ time period because it's so little but I found once it has a good function it looks good after a 2 minute tidy up (whish I am due to do again) even if it's not the pretty decanter perfect pictures, it looks good. It's strangely a place I keep pretty clean since the beginning of cleaning up and their are few different methods I use to naturally declutter mine now, like shopping my pantry and I make what they call dump meals, sometimes I just do meal veg/fruit prepared bases for some of my dishes I cook I just chop it all up, remove air and pop in freezer, and sometimes store certain foods together for set meals if I have to plan a particular meal for guests . Some of these things I only manage on my good days but the dump meals I usually do in like my multi cooker so I know on my bad days or super busy exhausting days we eat well, we have a bit of a take away issue. And bags they are trying to make illegal over here with a policy to stop all single use plastics, but I found we end up with a heap of "reusable" bags from the shops, which I am talking about changing to something else, thinking fold down baskets and our Esky to move things from the shops, I aim to get paper bags because I can compost them in our green bins which is a compost bin or recycle. But pantry is definitely a space that is personal to the family, my lower pantry shelves became a toddler cupboard since he helps with the house work and tries with the cooking 🤣 I moved some stash food into my Holiday storage cupboard so he can reach it, my other cupboards are full, and I need to do my washing after 3 days of not feeling up to it and just made my declutter list for my home, because we are still bursting at the seams but getting there. 😊 It's nice watching you for inspiration though, keep it up, it looks like it's getting better every day
Inside the pantry on the wall above your step stool, you should put maybe 1 or 2 command hooks to hang your aprons. I have mine hanging in my pantry and it saves space. You could use that bin for something else.
Your pantry looks awesome!! I just want to say that I love your content. I’ve been a subscriber for a while now and it just keeps getting better and better. Keep up the great work!!
I use plastic grocery bags as trash bags in the bathrooms. I take a hand full of them & put them under the trash bag I am using at the time. The rest get tossed out. But I am trying to use the reusable bags as much as possible.

Yes I save the plastic bags. I fold them neatly and use them to line my small trash cans.
We have to bring our own bags to the grocery, it's been a little different since COVID but I use reusable bags.
cloths pins work great as chip clips/ bag closures and can be found at Dollar Tree.

I watch Marina every time she posts and I so happy to see her every day right now, also love both her and Shane.
They are the best!🤎🙏
the meal planning basket idea is awesome! I want to try it as well.
I love Merina and now I am watching you!!
Wow, I'm so impressed with your hard work. This was a fabulous video and very 'real'. I got some very helpful hints too. Thank you
I’ve been subscribed to Merina’s channel since she started one of my favorite RUclipsrs
Omg I love her too. Always smiling after watching her
I came over from Merinas channel! 😁 I love the realness of these videos! Looking forward to watching all of your videos! ❤️
Over from Marinas channel. I love Marina and her precious family…I know I will love you too. God Bless 🙏🏼❤️
Great job! I just did my pantry and fridge. It feels so good to have it done! We’ve eaten at home everyday since just because I was inspired by all the food that we had. How are the baskets going?
I love Marina and Shane! ❤ I watch them faithfully!
Yes Sienna! Exactly!🤎💪🙏🦋
Thank you for being here!🙏🤎💪🦋
Love this kind of work happy watching mighty mama
Here from Merina's channel. Excited to watch your videos.
Merina is awesome. You are awesome too. I love both of you. You both are motivating and amazing in your own ways. This was a great transformation. ❤️🙌
Thank you! I am so happy you love her too! She's the best! Thanks for always having my back Dana! Love you!💪🏻🙏🏻🤎🦋
@@MightyMama always Laura! Thanks for having mine! Love you too🦋
😻😻😻 LOVE IT!!! Looking forward to the meal planning video :)
@@MightyMama My name is Maihi ☺ 💕💕💕 I can't wait you're doing such a GREAT job.
I can't wait to see. 😇
And my name is Laura! Please call me Laura!🤎
@@MightyMama Hi Laura. 💖💖💖
It gets so out of hand a d so quickly!🤣 Thabk you for being here!🤎🙏💪🦋
Hello! Watching cuz Merina said you’re awesome and sent me over! Here to check out your channel!!
Watching from Michigan 🦌❤️
I have been subscribed to Merina’s channel for awhile. I just discovered yours. I love Merina’s channel and I have a feeling I’m gonna love yours too!
Incredible job, Laura!!!!!! You did such a great job! I am so proud of you!!!!!
I love her too her family is amazing
I actually just recently purchased a wall mount canned storage rack thing. It's arriving by tomorrow. If you bought one you could get your cans off of the floor.
Have you thought of doing a no spend month? You definitely could have a short list of fresh food that you top up with but seeing that overstock makes me think of how much money you could save up! Well done for sharing your hoarding journey, I am sure it's not easy.
You could always add a cubed shelf to store your glass stuff at the bottom
Merina sent me here! Hello from Indiana! Love her channel and looking forward to watching yours! 💕
He has no idea of what or where things are.🤦♀️
My cupboards and drawers are so stuffed with a multitude of crap that the everyday things get 'stuck' and becone rotated from the sofa to the table to the chair... Because they have no home. 😢
So oooo thanks to Marina, who lifts my spirits to no end , putting me in a good mood 🙏, and you breaking down the reality of your pantry organising.....
I am about to tackle my under stair cupboard in the search of finding a home for things I need and love!
Wish me luck! I'm about to evict some junk!
I'm gonna get the dagone thing done!
👏👏👏🙏🙌❤️
I'll be checking in soon!
Merina sent me love your video great job to tackle...
Oh I loved the Mon to Fri bin idea 💡
Amanda on this crazy life did her pantry awhile back with a really good canned food storage. I hanged on the wall so could be useful to you to save you shelf space
I have same exact problems! Thanks for the motivation 😍 🤩
my grocery store takes the plastic bags for recycling so i usually bring mine back when i go shopping.
The end result is great. Thank you for the motivation.
Thank you for your encouragement I really need it!
I'm already subscribed to both of ya'll! Talk about a power duo that's FULL of motivation! Love ya'll both!
Liked your M-S bins! Great idea!
You get me through each day. Thank you 😊🙌
Just subbed from Merina’s channel, which I adore! Can’t wait to see your videos!
Amazing transformation!!!
Scanning and shredding as I watch! Thanks girl.
Way to go!!💪
Well done with these wonderful videos .... minimalist I will never be, but I do need far less clutter. Avidly watching for tips. ⚘
😊 It's nice watching you for inspiration though, keep it up, it looks like it's getting better every day
Hey girl… I heard about your channel from Marina! Glad I did! You did a great job on your pantry! 👍👍👍
I love Merinas youtube as well and found you💗
Coming from Merina’s channel…😊
I use plastic grocery bags as trash bags in the bathrooms. I take a hand full of them & put them under the trash bag I am using at the time. The rest get tossed out. But I am trying to use the reusable bags as much as possible.
That microwave door is just cracking me up!! Lol
I think it's a very pretty pantry. No need to makeover.
It looks AMAZING!!!
