Definitely a lot of other cuts I would have made before thinking about dropping wood elves, farhaven, springbloom and harald. Curving a 1 mana elf into a 3 mana wood-elf-variant is just good times, and you can never have too much ramp and card draw in elf ball.
Just ordered this pre-con today. Still fetches over MSRP. My local game store wanted $45 bucks for it. Found it online for half the price, and I have a good amount of the upgrades already. Super stoked. Also, awesome content. I love your videos and articles.
Also there are some older elves like timberwatch elf, wirewood channeler, elvish champion, and priest of titania that count all elves instead of just your own. Elfball bowl coming to commander clash? Then goblin bowl? Eventually WOTC will print so many precons we can do a tournament series: which EDH precon is the best?
i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
Did the price of Skyshroud Hetald shoot up $15 in 1 week after this video released, or is there a serious error here? This upgrade all by itself costs nesrly $20....
Crowm of skem seems strong with it being sneaky reach and a plus for each elf with recursion... but i also love enchantment decks and have a 4 color Enchantress deck i can never take apart and keep making changes.
Some of these upgrades are a little crazy even though I overall like your philosophy. Pride of the Perfect is absolutely a MUST HAVE for any deck that is 1) playing this many creatures and 2) generating this many tokens. It's 2 power on every. single. creature. And you want to be smashing your face into the opponent anyway. Return upon the tide is an extremely powerful card that even lets you flex mana options with foretell. It immediately puts three elves onto the battlefield which I can then potentially tap if I have Lathril out. Since when is a card that returns a creature to the battlefield from the graveyard (with 2 free tokens attached!) a card you want to replace...? It's literally a suped up Eternal Witness, I don't see myself ever taking it out of my deck for anything. Harald Unites The Elves is a great card but they both belong in the deck. Also, I'm not sure I agree Crown of Skemfar is "slow and weak". It's definitely not Skull Clamp and the upgrade here is good, but again once you have the card, you can effectively keep putting it on the board and supercharging your Elves on repeat. Getting to a place where this thing is easily playable every turn is super easy for Green, especially Golgari Elves. I have mana everywhere, I'm not seeing how it's slow.
Ikr? Its a repeatable, scaling up murder machine that heavily synergizes with the commander. Not including it seems like an oversight more than a choice.
@@oom-3262 Even with just a couple elves on the field, it allows Lathril to get so many more +1s when she connects. I agree, it seems like a big oversight. It's not a +1 counter deck, but getting more power onto Lathril so she can get more warriors with an enchantment that can be graveyard tutor'd on repeat... seems like a steal.
I'm new to commander and only played MTG for just a bit. Is the idea to attach to your 1/1 tokens, kill it and get two cards for 1 mana, and then repeat as many times as you want per turn?
I’ve been brought down by board wipes for too long! Adding black to my mono green elf deck is just what I needed!
This is exactly what I’m doing with my upgraded 2014 elf precon right now 😂

That's fine but curving a 1cmc mana dork into a better ramp elf like Elvish Archdruid is much better.
I would love to see a budget deck for Svella, Ice Shaper. She looks fun and powerful, yet fair.
Skyshround Poacher is now $20 on its own.

This precon is so good you barely need to make changes.

@Jack Justice Instablaster :)
Definitely keen to see a Kardur blink/clone token deck.
Add Alpha Authority to protect and add evasion to your commander.
I'll be honest I think having an elf that puts a land into play is much better than a mana dork. Removal and board wipes are decently commonplace.
At least this video we can all agree on how the commander's abilities work XP
So excited for this deck!

I been thinking about the same thing since checking out the price of it.
got to love net decks

Fallen Ideal goes Insane with Lathrill

I’ve been playing elves since the 2014 precon and never knew skyshroud poacher was a card 😂
I know it kinda limits my options, but I really find the classic card frame ugly. I'm not a fan of including them.
I want to see what you’d do with Abomination of Llanowar. It was super fun and I’m trying to see how I can integrate this into that deck.
I like how the list cost triple what it did now lmao
Great video, but the zoom in on Harald's abs in the background of the Precon Analysis is very distracting.
Your checklist is gold. What are the best I win cards for specific colors or archetypes?
Are you not running Devoted Druid? It synergizes fantastically with Immaculate Magistrate and Wirewood Channeler and it's insane with Ezuri
How about Karn+Isochron Scepter+Vitalize Combo? xD
Skull clamp don't work well to many lords in the deck
Throne of the god-pharaoh would be awsome in this deck
Skullclamp is seriously disgusting. I drew around 30 cards one game.

@@GregVanGorp exactly! That's the way!
Early Squad!
The market isn't unregulated.
skyshroud poacher is £14 now
Living death.
