- Welcome to continue our journey with me. This time we will drive on the increasingly popular self-driving route in Gannan, Gansu Province - Ganga Mysterious Realm.
This is a secret place in the world that was voted a must-see by National Geographic judges. Come with me and drive around to experience how amazing it is!
The Ganga (Ganjia) Secret Realm is located on the west side of Bajiao Village, Gangjia Grassland, Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, in the southwest of Gansu Province. It is bordered by the thousand-year-old ancient temple Zuohai Temple in the south, Gangjia Xihuo in the east, and Dariga Mountain in the north, with a total area of 131.23 square kilometers. The altitude difference between the north and the south is 1,300 meters.
The unique geological structure makes it contain all the scenic features of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, including cliffs, grasslands, plateau lakes, stone forests, canyons, prehistoric caves, rivers and other geological resources. The ancient city of Bajiao, Zuohai Temple, Baishiya Temple, and other thousand-year-old Tibetan Buddhist temples have formed the historical and cultural accumulation of Ganga, and academic masters and eminent monks such as Master Tsongkhapa, Gongri Cangnu Living Buddha, Gendun Qunpei, and the 10th Panchen Lama have emerged.

The autonomous region of Xizang (Tibet) in itself covers a vast area, but is much further south of the area filmed here. This is on the north eastern section of the Qinghai- Tibet plateau. And although many of the communities are culturally Tibetan, there are also many Hui Muslims, among others. Gansu, Sichuan, Qinghai as well as (Xizang) are most decidedly part of Zhongguo.
