For Helldive solo or squad, Slugger, Senator, and Railgun. The slug shotgun is propably the most efficient primary in the game as it is currently. It has 1 shot potential on medium armor bots. It can stagger all medium sized enemies because it can actually pen medium armor like the revolver. It is the 3rd hardest hitting weapon at 280, is one of the most accurate and reloads quite fast. It makes marksman rifles worthless because they are worse in every way Handling, avg ammo cap, damage, stagger, armor pen, and collateral potential, and up time. Having tried all the weapons in helldive there are really only 3 viable weapons that have the damage required to put down targets fast enough, Slug shotgun, Pump shotgun and Breaker. The Plasma gun is an okay choice but it dosent reliably stagger and has a only deals 100 dmg ~30% of the damage the shotguns can dish out. With the Slugger you can calmly juggle bots while reloading till they die because they cant move after being shot 1 time. It is the easily the most slept on weapon.
My favorite support weapon is the arc thrower and autocannon I haven't really seen anyone talk about the arc thrower its crazy good it can horde clear like no tomorrow unlimited ammo and does really decent damage against chargers,Titans, hulks and i havent really tested tanks but its crazy good can 1 tap multiple light enemies with one shot and 2 to 3 shots to kill medium armor enemies im level 40 btw
Honestly it so does there much they can add to this game to make it sooooo coool like melee weapons, maybe some livery’s for weapons and then dye pack and pattern for armour
@@noodle_nz bro no this is exactly how the stupid skins start coming in look at call of duty they got fucking Nicki Minaj fuck that the game is good as it is
aye man, game just dropped pretty much. just wait til their first huge update 🥹 and just to note, helldivers 2 has probably the best community in gaming history 😂
Hell nah! They can give us THEIR color of armors. Don’t say that shi before they go crazy with it like CODs colorful asz skins. We don’t care bout skins we care bout weapons and bigger server capacity!
Important fact to note: armor values are bugged right now and are effectively useless (basically light and heavy armor values don't effect received damage). The devs are aware of this but its not currently their highest priority.
@@Lilitha11 No I believe people are fully prepared for it when it gets fixed, they're only running light armor for now since there's no point is screwing up your stamina and move speed by wearing heavy armor that doesn't give you a bonus for running it.
There’s no way. I’ve read this a few times, but wearing heavy armor makes me so much tankier especially against automatons, like I can take shots that I 100% couldn’t normally take
@@Vojoor I agree, I don't think it is true that the armor never works, as some people suggest. I think there is bugs with it, where it doesn't work in some situations, but it does work in many situations.

Question abt the nade launcher, have you used it against bile titans? I would assume it wouldn’t work but I heard someone say it hits on their face and kills them fast.
@@agedgouda8809 It's not really good vs titans, if you wan't to kill those creatures is better to use the rail gun instead, in about 4 or 5 shots in the head, that bug is going down fasT!
Honestly man. The best load out for all around everything is shield pack and railgun. After that you just fill the rest with what you need. I take orbital rail and eagle barrage. If i see everyone else doing that ill be the designated bug hole or bot factory sweeper and solo those with a nade launcher while the team does the primaries. It works every time
Same, I almost always go railgun and shield pack, only swap out the shield pack for a jump pack on those tiny defense maps, so I can get high on a rock somewhere.
@@ahdkfknsbcienfnsk auto cannon shots ricochet in gl shots need to be fired from a decent distance to get an angle to make the explosion aoe contact the internal hit box of the factory
My loadouts are: Bugs: - Incendiary Breaker - SMG pistol - Incendiary Grenade - Railgun - Personal Shield - Mortar Sentry - 500 kg Bomb Bots: - Breaker - SMG pistol - Impact Grenade - Railgun - Personal Shield - EMP Mortars - Regular mortar / 500kg Bomb (mission specific) I run the medium armor with 50% chance of surviving death, but I will switch it out once I get a better light armor for movement. I never struggle with anything other than the insane amounts of Heavy Bruisers on the Rescue missions vs bots... The problem isn't killing them, it's killing them fast enough without also wiping out the civilians.
Something I discovered while using the Autocannon is if you have to mag dump something and empty the magazine, when reloading wait until it cycles the round from the first stripper clip and the HUD displays half of the magazine is loaded. Open your stratagem menu and it will cancel the reload animation allowing you to be mobile again until you can move further away to complete the reload.
The Entire eagle strategem is OP once upgraded. CD is low, and you have up to 5 call-ins. 2 500kg bombs? hell yea, hoard following you call in your cluster
I wish you could equip a set of armor for its stats, and then have the option to select another set to equip cosmetically, since people will probably just wear the same 2-3 armors that are best for the job.
My only gripe with that is, You find TWO sets, MED KIT and ENGINEER (2+ Meds or 2+ nades) AND THATS ALL people would be running. and then poof. All armor sets are non-existent
I'm gonna vote against the 'I look like I'm heavy armor but I'm the fastest man alive' nonsense that will happen with 'cosmetics'. You should be able to tell what people are actually using by looking at them.
Grenade Launcher + Supply Backpack is really fun, especially solo. Combined with the armor that lengthens healing time + lets you hold extra stims, and you'll be a juicin', grenade-launching menace.
@@ickytips it probably is a superior choice tbh. You start shooting in the morning and end by the evening, then fast reload and you shoot all night. Even if you set it to 1100RPM
One thing to note is that the Expendable AT call in comes with 2 rockets on a 75 sec cooldown. The drop in itself destroys buildings and it doesn't take a backpack slot. it's very slept on right now.
Slept on is too strong a word, it's completely overshadowed by how useful the Railgun is, it's a one and done weapon, so it loses out on the fact that a Railgun can do more damage than it can in the timeframe you have to wait for a new set to be dropped down.
For those who dont know, with a railgun on unsafe mode, if you got a steady aim, you can 1-2 shot a bile titan straight to the head, you just aim for around the mouth or the neck area, or if you got good timing, and do the full unsafe shot, straight to the face
@BradleyLayman Bascially the railgun is a weapon that is better used with first person mode, so that you can see the charge meter, in normal mode it's limited to yellow, but in unsafe you can charge it to the red. But if you overcharge it for too long, it will blow up in your face and kill you, so you gotta know how to time it
@TheTraveler980 brother with more time spent on the battlefield means more time for liberty and more ammunition to be spent, stim yourself brother for democracy!
As someone who climbed up all the way to helldive difficulty solo, here is MY personal recommandation: Weapons: The Defender Smg Smg sidearm Strategems: Shielbackpack Railgun 500kg Bomb Eagle Airstrike Playstyle: First of all, you dont have to fight every enemy. You only take on enemy’s at Bug nests or mission objectives. You will use your SMGs for every unarmored enemy, and the Railgun for Elites. The airstrikes will be used for nests, or to clear a point of interest before going in. Also for bugbreaches that you HAVE to fight of.
@@Boof_Pack Light armor, as long as it is broken. Also I highly recommend the MED-KIT armor. There was a light MED-KIT armor in the store a few days ago.
I am a HUGE fan of the orbital rail gun. takes chargers out in 1 shot, and i think even the titans in 1-2 (if you're in a squad). Takes no time fo it to line up and shoot, no explosion so you're allies are safe from it. My current Loadout is Breaker, Uzi handgun thing, impact/incendiary grenade, Personal shield, rail gun, 500kg, and orbital rail gun. Works well on practically any mission i run.
Exactly what I run, literally every mission. Breaker does the ad clear no dramas, 500kg kills everything big and small, orbital for heavies and shield is just OP, it even blocks bugs melee attacks and stops me getting killed from those acid spewers
Exactly, when you do that your job is basically to melt the ads and let your allies handle the armor. You can help with armor too but you have to target weak points to get anything done at all.@@aidenjackson4872
if you like using the scythe, try the arc thrower. Just as good at picking enemies off from ridiculous ranges, AND it ignores armor. Only downsides are it doesn't do anything at close range and it is notorious for being a friendly fire machine (so you gotta be careful). I've found it's effectively a sidegrade to the flamethrower that functions at long range instead of close
You should try the grenade launcher with the supply pack as a combo. Then you suddenly can mag dump the grenade launcher at waves of enemies and keep going.
Recoiless rifle is HUGE for the bots. If you’re currently defending like many of us are, all you have to do is shoot one of the engine of the dropships and it eliminates the entire bot squad that tries to drop. You can spawn camp the enemy while trying to rescue civs. Pair it with mines and you can extract civs with ease
My personal favourite build right now is actually includes a breaker and supply pack combo. Yeah sure it might not be the most meta thing going but man it’s super fun and turns you into an offensive beast especially on defensive missions. I’ve ran out many times straight into firefights clearing through swarms of bugs and bots. It works well as support since I can share ammo and stims then also come in clutch to save a teammate who’s being pressed by too many enemies.
I'd add to this, remember you can run with one handed weapons out and fire behind you without turning around. Combine this with the semi auto firing and you can continue to slap bugs as you run tf away with 'greater' accuracy than spraying unpredictably
I love the engineering armor set, those 2+ grenade slot is pretty nice when your rushing into hives and destroying all those holes then getting out, as my favourite its currently the Jar-Dominator, it may be niche but its pretty awesome to use.
while the spear does sometimes have locking issues, I have gotten good at it and it one shots the bile titans if they are running directly at you. Super good.
It’s definitely good, but I think if they patch it, it’ll definitely be S-tier, whereas it’s currently a strong B, low A tier support weapon. It’s needs its lock on to be fixed, and a little speed up for it. Its main issue is ammo economy not replenishing from random ammo drops on map, and that hurts it a lot versus the recoilless
@whitefaze13 well. I play with my brothers, i wear the rocket pack and i use the rocket, solo reloads arent tbat bad. And i call in a support ammo pack so they can resupply me. That lasts u til i call another spear in. Playing on suicidal btw.
I use shield-pack and Arc-thrower mainly. arc-thrower cuz everyone runs railgun and they tend to not kill the small mobs much, also contributes to getting flooded by mob if left unchecked. arc is also capable of stripping armour off the elites. Only downside to arc is that you need to learn how it works to reduce the chance of killing ur teammate. (I tend to solo roam/aggro elite off team and arc has treated me well with that playstyle.)
arc thrower is essentially a long ranged sidegrade to the flamethrower that leaves you defenseless when the bugs get close. Allows you to easily pick off entire hordes of encroaching enemies from a distance so long as you don't get overwhelmed and forced to retreat. The main downside is how buggy it is with line of sight, as it tries to target the closest enemy in the auto aim cone, sees that it's behind cover, and refuses to shoot at the one you're actually aiming at. Corpses also block its line of sight SPECIFICALLY when you're trying to shoot at an enemy, outside of combat it can arc to corpses though. That said, along with the friendly fire stuff, just stick to high ground
@@geronimo5537Kinda disagree, it's really really nice to have an AC or grenade launcher to burst objectives down. You do absolutely need 2-3 railguns though
EMS mortar turret with the civilian extraction mission is supreme. EMS plus regular mortar. If everyone on the team deploys those you can just sit back and relax.
I’m trying to main turrets as a high level load out and my main mix will be ems and standard mortar, what else would you suggest? I’m thinking shield backpack and either Autocannon turret or a heavy weapon.
@@thedarudecactus3179 it's very mission specific though. Mortars are great when defending or holding a point. They work well in the civilian extract missions and the mission where you have to kill 250 enemies on a small map centred around the landing zone. Same with automatons where you have the high ground. For those, autocannon is nice with the mortars. Stay away from Gatling sentry, it'll team kill too much. In harder lvl7+ missions where you have to run around the map turrets become less effective as they can be killed by chargers etc. I've maxed out turret upgrades but they just can't keep up. If you're still leveling up your character, turrets are good early on support. After about character lvl20 you should be switching to eagles, orbitals, and guard dogs, shield and rail gun when you can.
If ur fighting bugs, then take the railgun. 2 shots to break the armor on a charger's leg, then shoot it with your primary. One shot headshot for both bile spewer type enemies and 1 maybe 2 head shots on a bile titan will take it down.
Someone's probably already pointed it out, but if you're using the autocannon against the charger, aim for it's back legs. That's the quickest way to take them down if you're not running the railgun strat.
The disposable anti tank rockets are literally the best as you can call them every 50 seconds, if everyone brings them you will nuke any target instantly lol
It's funny, bc a lot of early game gear turns out to be really useful. I regret saving up stuff like HE barrage. Basically gear that has more ammo or faster recovery/reload rate, *can* be better than powerful one-time use gear.
Armor: use light armor, there is no difference between light medium and heavy (protection wise) as of right now. Weapon: just use the normal breaker the normal breaker is superior. Incendiary is alright. The spray and pray variant is TERRIBLE. Secondary the SMG is king let’s be real. Stratagems: honestly use what you like and feels fun. It really depends on the mission, but I rock a railgun normally with an Eagle Airstrike and if bugs I rock the jet pack just to add a little boost of verticality. With cyborgs I use shield pack. Stalwart is the best lmg, but all special weapons are pretty dang reliable in their own way. At the end of the day. Just use what you enjoy. Have fun. And remember to continue spreading democracy with the boys 💪
Few things I have noticed while using autocannon: - The backpack has 10 magazines. Each mag holds 5 rounds. The gun comes with 10 rounds (total 60 rounds) compare to grenade launcher which has 10 in chamber with 2 mags (30 rounds) - 1 pack from supply drop refills 5 backpack slots. 1 ammo box refills 2 slots. So it will take 2 supply packs or 5 ammo boxes to fully refill the backpack. - When reloading it doesn't seem to discard ammo and if there is more than 5 rounds it doesn't reload so you could reload before emptying and save time on reload. (not sure if this is intended or a bug, better to test it in case this behavior changes in future updates)
the reloading is definitely intended, the gun has place for 10 rounds in the chamber, but the reloading is done using mags of 5. You don't replace the magazine with a different one like you do with assault rifles, you simply add on to the existing bullets inside the gun. You can't add another mag of 5 if your gun only has place for 4.
On the 1st page of your free Warbond track is the 2nd fastest light armour you can get without having to wait for store rotation, also has the same perks as the page 7 armour, so if you don't have it, make sure to get that one and keep spending your medals on the free track.
I've watched a few videos on people's thoughts about best builds and I have to say, I agree with you on these. Most of this I am already using, but I am gonna try out some of the other stuff you recommended. Great video.
The rail gun is head and shoulders the best gun in the game because of ammo economy and ease of use. It can 3 shot a bile titan, a charger and like you said 2 shot a hulk. The guard dog rover is also so criminally slept on. I find it better than the personal shield especially to kill trash ads who are always chasing you.
Autocannon costs you a backpack slot like the shield back pack for bots is super good as they are always shooting you. Maybe as a support autocannon is good so you could run more orbital/eagles. Railgun orbital is very good for taking out single massive threats like tanks and then running something like cluster bomb, airstrike or napalm is nice
Thank me later ;P primary weapon. punisher.. stun stalkers and all smaller units great for helping teammates getting attacked by stalkers!..... its reload is awesome since you can reload 1 shell and shot if you in trouble.. secondary.. grenade launcher.. 2 shots clear the large spitters.. expendable anti -tank and orbital railcannon strike for chargers and titans.. and laser backpack.. saves you ALOT of ammo! you dont need to shoot targets when on medium range.. the laser backpack can take them down and saves SOOO much ammo.. ...body armour +2 instant 400 dmg grenades... also grenade launcher can take out the bug holes... :D play style is like support your team mates.. they got the eagles strike and stuff for fast clear of egg nests etc... 2 people on the team running expandable anti tank. fells SOO good... on difficulty 7+
id like to add that the spear is an insanely good support weapon, you can take down factories and turrets from across the map. it one shots hulks if you aim anywhere near the rear and 2 shots the body, targeting on it mostly hits the weak spot on tanks which is a one shot and if it misses its a 2 shot. I use it alot on solo to stealth through since i can take out factories from anywhere. if you cant get a lock all you need to do is mark the thing and it works.
Reloading one shot at a time is a huge benefit on a primary like the punisher, but with a pistol you’re only going to be pulling it out in an emergency where you need to spam all of your ammo most likely. Making it single round reloading a detriment since the reason you have it out is likely that your other weapons are already depleted.
I laugh at people saying they use personal shield against bugs. The rover is FAR better than the shield. You will have 2-3 times more kills using the rover than your squad mates who aren’t. Personal shield makes sense against the bots, but you’re asleep if you’re not using the rover on bugs!
something about the auto cannon, you can actually cancel it when you reload one clip. its useful for when you really need a few shots to kill something but you dont want to wait the entire animation.
Too bad armor rating currently doesn't do anything. Developers are looking into fixing the bug with armor rating since currently every armor is acting like it's at 100. The only reason currently to pick specific armor is either for the speed increase or the perks the armor comes with.
Breaker (ammo hungry) Redeemer (ammo hungry) Railgun (slightly ammo hungry) Impact Grenades (ammo hungry) Supply Backpack *god rays* is the solution. This is the ultimate burst DPS ammo hungry build that never runs out of ammo. Pressing 5 on the keyboard supplies yourself instead of an ally. A single press refills all 7 magazines of your Shotgun, all 4 Redeemer clips, half of your Railgun ammo, half of your grenades, and half of your stims. It quintuples your primary/secondary ammo and triples everything else. Plus you can keep getting new Supply Backpacks on your own personal cooldown so you don't ruin ammo supplies for anyone else. Then I bring the 500KG Bomb for nuking half an objective (you get two when upgraded) and the Orbital Railgun for one-shotting Hulks / Tanks / Cannon Towers / Behemoths / and Bile Titans. There's just no better loadout when running around maps on the offensive. Fun Fact: Any ammo left behind on a Supply Pod can be added to the empty slots in the Supply Backpack. And as a FURTHER bonus: Picking up one ammo supply from a Supply Pod refills all of your current ammo AND adds 1 supply to your backpack essentially doubling its value.
The only issue with using the Autocannon is that it takes up a back pack slot which I like to use either the rover for bugs or the shield for the Robots
the SG-225 Breaker and its incendiary variant are 2 very different weapons, despite the naming :) Personally I don't like the fire one, too much spread... the 'normal' breaker is a beast of a weapon, dmg - rof - capacity - reload speed, everything is great. If you dont like shotguns, I see a lot of people sleeping on the smg-37 defender, it is a great little smg, very accurate with almost 0 recoil and as a bonus, any mission that has you carry an sssd (lol) or anything similar, pick this weapon, it's an one hander, so you can use it just fine. Now as far as "the perfect loadout"... this does not exist :) there are awesome options for armored single enemies and also for aoe non armored clears... pick what your team is lacking, or one of both 'categories' if soloing
Quick Tip: You can one-shot a fresh spawn Bile Titan with the EAT (maybe the Recoiless too, idk, haven't tried it). If you wait and shoot a rocket into the Titan's mouth while it's doing it's "spew green bile" move, it'll blow up the head in one shot. My friends and I were doing it consistently last night on Impossible.
Im a bit sceptic about this video, since the video footage always only shows difficulty 4 or 5, which can hardly be considered the "higher difficulties". Then you recommend taking heavy armor on the more stationary missions, while armors are currently bugged and dont actually make a difference damage-reduction wise. So while i agree that it would make sense in theory, that's certainly not experience based advice. That out of the way.. What im really curious about is how the grenade launcher or autocannon perform against the really heavy enemies. Chargers, Hulks, Tanks and Bile Titans namely. I dont see the grenade launcher doing jackshit against any of those, except maybe the chargers. The autocannon more so, but even then it never felt like it helped too much, especially for hulks. One or two hulks are of course not a problem, but given that the researcher escort missions throw the damn things at you in the literal douzens from difficulty 5 onwards, that's just not good enough an option. What disappoints me a bit personally is that it feels like the railgun isnt just objectively the best option.. it's the only option for high difficulties where medium+ armor enemies are spammed at you. Not only is pretty much everything else inferior, it usually *also* takes up the backpack slot on top of that (for reloading), which could otherwise be used for a shield (or heck just a rover), which is just about the next best thing in the game after the railgun. So not taking the railgun you bascially bend over twice. The railgun can efficiently take out every enemy in the game. Other than some niche usecases, like closing bugholes and bringing down dropships. Everything else it just deals with better than even the most heavy of the stratagems, like orbital strikes, which usually also come with a hefty cooldown, a usage limit, or both at the same time. Imagine you use the orbital railgun as your heavy armor solution.. yeah that's like a couple minutes cooldown. The laser? Even more cooldown and limited uses. Those simply are not options. Imagine using the spear, which is such a cool weapon. Less shots. Messy lockon. Exclusively targets the tough stuff, so no utility other than this one usecase. Not to mention on top of all of this you give up the backpack slot for ammunition, so you cant bring some of the other best items in the game. This is just simply not how balancing works lol. I dont want them to nerf the railgun, but it cant just be the best solution for 95% of usecases in the game. And most other things in the game dont even properly fulfill their role. As mentioned above, who in their right mind would use the orbital laser or orbital railgun for endgame purposes when the railgun exists? Who would pick something that additionally prevents you from taking another item, if something else does its job better and doesnt have this disadvantage? For starters they really should let you carry the backup ammunition on your belt or smth, to free up the backpack slot. Then they really need to rethink some of the balancing around the supposed big hitter stratagems, because they can be used way too rarely to be worth the slot they take up (which would be fine, but if they are supposed to fulfill a role, ie solve a problem, then they really need to solve this problem, which they simply cannot do, if far more enemies spawn than they can take care of). And it would be so much fun to actually have viable strategems for this. I usually much prefer such systems over any kind of gunplay, which is a weird thing to say when playing a shooter i guess but still. Edit: Since i wasnt sure i looked it up, turns out the railgun can bring down dropships too. Maybe i should look up if it can close bugholes too, and while we are at it, solve world hunger.
I know most people don't use it, but I absolutely love the punisher shotgun. I think it does more damage than the breacher, but it reloads shell by shell. It allows you to always be topped up if reloaded right. My secondary is the redeemer for when there are too many trash-mobs. Support weapon is either the railgun or the stalwart depending on how I'm feeling. If I choose the railgun I usually pick two sentries with one orbital and a backpack (shield or supply); If I'm taking the stalwart it is pretty similar but I exchange the sentries for more orbitals/eagles to take on bile titans and chargers. Grenade is always the frag grenade, don't know why but I love it. These two loadouts never steer me wrong. Oh I know it's a medium armor but I take the juggernaut armor. Love the fashion and the extra grenades.
A loadout i typically frequent is the 500kg eagle, orbital railcannon, shield pack, and railgun. railgun and shieldpack can handle chargers and the annoying spitters, while the orbital rail and bombs can deal with up to 3 bile titans before being completely exhausted
Orbital rail imo is also better than the laser it’s instant and has a lower cooldown than the laser while the laser has three charges takes about 15 sec to kill whatever it’s firing at and then it goes on a 300 cooldown I personally don’t think it’s better than the rail it’s good to sure but the cooldown kills it and limited uses
Pro tip The SMG does the same amount of damage as the normal pistol. So if you’re facing the bugs and it’s just the smaller ones/some hunters paired with, switch to single fire and just one tap them. Saves you bullets.
My unit is less focused on using the team system and works more like a guerilla warfare unit. I personally run Railcannon Strike and Eagle Airstrike for my stratagems every mission. Most missions for my Support I use the Railgun and Shield Backpack combo, that way I can still hit my shots when I come out of cover. As for my Primary and Secondary, I usually bring a Breaker 225 and a P-19. All of this together is really good at ripping through armor, killing heavies, wiping out large clusters of enemies, and keeping you protected. This is what most of my unit runs, as most other setups are not able to bring enough damage to handle the big stuff. You can definitely try, but it's better if you can be constantly on the move while still kicking serious ass. The only variation I make to my setup is I bring a Spear sometimes and either keep the Railgun or replace it with a 380. The Spear can wipe out heavies instantly, but the issue is that it's not very effective against Hulks, which are most of what you face when fighting Automatons, and it's habit is not quite locking onto stuff or holding the lock. Still, if it works it's very effective against Titans. All of this is just my opinion. Hopefully things become a bit more balanced where more of the Supports feel like they are useful against level 8 and 9 missions.
Breaker or Lib Pen for main. Redeemer sidearm. G-12 HE grenade. Railgun, EMS mortar, 500kg Eagle or Air Strike. Shield gen backpack or laser rover. Medium armor with stim perks. You can now survive anything, kill anything, destroy everything. EMS mortar is OP as hell.
My current favourite solo load out is grenade launcher, 110 he eagle, gatling barrage, and autocannon turret. I feel the gatling barrage does more to clear out a poi than the airburst strike and shares a similar cooldown while the gatling strike is also better at taking out armoured targets aswell
Bugs: Liberator P, Uzi, 500kg bomb, orbital rail cannon, rail gun, laser guard dog You could probably solo hell dive with this, the rail gun is that good against heavy bugs. Bots: Liberator P, Uzi, 500kg, Orbital Rail Cannon, Anti-Material Rifle, Shield Gen Pack/Orbital Laser/Jump Pack/EMS Mortar/Mortar Obviously still more of a work in process but sniping is super underrated against the Bots. You can take out the bots that can call in bot drops from afar or the heavies and save your orbitals for tanks or hulks that get too close. The anti material rifle can even take out the gun towers and anti aircraft guns/mortars from afar.
Tbh I’d like earnable cosmetics. Like helmets for example. it honestly bums me out so much every company goes straight to selling cosmetics for irl money(not saying they’re going to) but I miss stuff like in the older halos where you saw someone’s armor and was like “oh cool he musta dedicated time to do this shit” kinda like a status symbol past just swiping your credit card
Breaker shotgun, auto pistol sidearm, rail gun, shield generator pack, you chose the last two strategems, ggs. Autocannon is probably my favorite weapon though, railgun shield pack combo is just too good.
honestly the best armor i feel is the one that gives a 50% chance to not die. That will save you when things go bad and they can go bad really fast on the helldivers difficulty. Out side that the armor that gives you 2 extra stims and 2 extra seconds of healing is also amazingly good.
I suspect you could very easily clear the higher difficulty escort missions by having a duo team camp a vantage point with a recoilless launcher and just shoot the drop ships out of the air before they can even spawn enemies. Then just Tesla towers, EMS mortars, and maybe a shield generator and supply packs to supplement ammunition as needed. Realistically you’ll only ever have to fight the random spawning automatons which will be easily stunlocked by the EMS mortars.
The ammo backpack is low-key OP. 4 stims, 8 nades, a crap ton of ammo for all of your guns, and you can double dip on resupplies since they give you back your ammo PLUS a backpack resupply charge.
Right the heavy machine gun is one of the best weapons that’s why they give it to you first so you can unlock all the difficulties and learn to play effectively
Obv this changes if u running defense but in general if you want the best solo loadout, run Breaker shotty (not incendiary ur trolling), smg (or revolver if ur a less enlightened individual), impacts to deal with clumps of bile spewers, Railgun (2 shots to charger leg will break its armor and several shots kill a bile titan, one shot to the face deals with bile spewers) + Shield pack (or rover laser against bugs if u have trouble with adds and are good at kiting hordes) + 500kg (to deal with bile titans, tanks etc...), + and a cluster to deal with massive packs (the last slot is really optional/situational and not as "mandatory" as the rest. Airstrike if ur doing bug nest blitz mission, Orbital laser can take out 2-3 tanks if youre lucky but sucks against bugs for instance. The railcannon is nice against bile titans when it actually one shots but most of the time it just hits it hard.)
If every person In the squad is coordinated, and has shield generator packs, the arc thrower is a TON of fun. We all can take down bile titans with them. And more often then not we make it out with full reinforcements.
Tips: Breaker does more damage closer. Medical light kit also makes your stims last longer, you can dive off a cliff and get a small amount of damage and basically run the whole map without stopping. My Preference is to run shield with breaker and grenade launcher - cannot go past the aoe damage. If you're not playing solo, swap in railgun for easy heavy damage or autocannon. We had a lot of success with one person with railgun to break armour and autocannon to finish them off (chargers down in seconds). Failing that you simply circle behind a charger and shooting it in the back 2 clips of the breaker will finish it (need to be relatively close). Prefer to run rocket cannon sentry, mortar and gatling to defend the other sentries in horde situations. From drops, Orbital laser is op for clearing heavies/growds, orbital rail cannon works great on bile titans. Typically like the cluster bomb airstrike as its relatively linear so great for nests and not killing allies like the 380. The laser drone is a great option but often find it does more damage to me than enemies. Most weapons/combos are viable in this depending on your team but this is my preference @ L: 36 with ~80 hours
Another tip: terminid bile is highly flammable, don't fire into an oncoming stream if you don't want to cremate yourself. DO fire at a bile spitter from an off angle, it'll pop them real fast.
autocannon goes so hard, the ammo capacity is just so good. Also I really enjoy the missile turret, I think it turns faster than the autocannon turret which is really really nice.
I've found the orbital precision strike is really hard to use, but if you can dome the enemy you're trying to hit, it'll kill any enemy in the game in a single hit. Bile titans, tanks, hulks, chargers. All will die with a direct hit from a precision
for stratagem, i prefer use the railcannon for orbital attack, simply because it can eliminate anything in one hit (outside the bile titan that need 2)
I’ve notice it depends on where it hits if it’s right one the head it one shots him but it may have been that it was injured or lower health but I don’t remember seeing any yellow wounds on it
My loadout for bugs: Medium armor pen AR Uzi sidearm Frag grenade Rail cannon sup wep Shield gen backpack Orbital rail cannon strata Orbital laser strata I am the anti-large things in my groups... reserve Orbital rail for bile titans. Reserve laser for taking out entire hives as they even target the holes (works even better for automaton bases). Railcannon sup wep to knock off armor on chargers and finish bile titans. The med pen AR eats through all bugs without being stopped except the chargers, but as previously stated... those get wrecked. 2 railcannon shots to a charger leg knocks off armor, just out half a mag into that leg with main wep and it's dead.
What's your favorite weapon so far?
Btw, accidentally said LAS-5 is a decent weapon. It is not. Please do not use it .
Breaker. Always the Breaker.
I had someone kill a Bile titan will a spear and it one shot it. He managed to do it twice, I think both times were headshots but I'm not sure though.

Yessssirrrr I stay 2 tapping them things railgun is fire 🔥😂
This I didn't know, thank you
Yeah switching it to unsafe mode is key to getting the full benefit of the weapon
What is unsafe mode compared to safe mode? I don’t have it yet, so I can’t test out.

Weapons: The Defender Smg
Smg sidearm
Strategems: Shielbackpack
Railgun
500kg Bomb
Eagle Airstrike
Playstyle:
First of all, you dont have to fight every enemy.
You only take on enemy’s at Bug nests or mission objectives.
You will use your SMGs for every unarmored enemy, and the Railgun for Elites.
The airstrikes will be used for nests, or to clear a point of interest before going in. Also for bugbreaches that you HAVE to fight of.

Works well on practically any mission i run.
good if your teamates are running ad clear
Exactly what I run, literally every mission. Breaker does the ad clear no dramas, 500kg kills everything big and small, orbital for heavies and shield is just OP, it even blocks bugs melee attacks and stops me getting killed from those acid spewers
In extreme cold the laser cannon is a big hit. Pair it with the guard rover and scythe for a super fun laser build. Most fun I’ve had.
Especially on lower difficulty bugs dude. Makes the game so much fun
P-19 Redeemer can be set to Semi allowing you to conserve ammo & can be useful against smaller Targets.
I totally forgot about this. 😅
I'd add to this, remember you can run with one handed weapons out and fire behind you without turning around. Combine this with the semi auto firing and you can continue to slap bugs as you run tf away with 'greater' accuracy than spraying unpredictably
Interesting to give this list when playing on lvl 4 and 5. The meta changes quite a lot when you're faced with 5-8 chargers at a time.
The Jar Dominator has travel time on its bullets i think, so don't be surprised if you don't always hit stuff
@@iDeadxInfected I mean I like the spear as well, sometimes the modifiers on impossible and above make it a lot harder to run with
I use shield-pack and Arc-thrower mainly.
arc-thrower cuz everyone runs railgun and they tend to not kill the small mobs much, also contributes to getting flooded by mob if left unchecked.
arc is also capable of stripping armour off the elites.

Not taking railgun on helldiver is like saying to your team. You work harder to cover my shortcomings.
I hope they add mini map rotation. Navigation is just more annoying without it
That & being able to toggle the mini map to stay visible
Armor for extra heavy ammo capacity would be nice.
Fr give me a heavy armor with the less recoil buff and extra ammo
Autocannon with breaker is clutch for most situations
They said that they want to add mechs sometime soon, I can’t wait hahaha
If ur fighting bugs, then take the railgun. 2 shots to break the armor on a charger's leg, then shoot it with your primary. One shot headshot for both bile spewer type enemies and 1 maybe 2 head shots on a bile titan will take it down.
The plas-1 scorcher is a good weapon but it is seriously neutered by having 15 round mags and only 6 of them.
Someone's probably already pointed it out, but if you're using the autocannon against the charger, aim for it's back legs. That's the quickest way to take them down if you're not running the railgun strat.
It can also 2 shot hulks if the hit the slit
The disposable anti tank rockets are literally the best as you can call them every 50 seconds, if everyone brings them you will nuke any target instantly lol
I agree they’re really good… until 4 bile titans spawn at once.
Few things I have noticed while using autocannon:
- The backpack has 10 magazines. Each mag holds 5 rounds. The gun comes with 10 rounds (total 60 rounds) compare to grenade launcher which has 10 in chamber with 2 mags (30 rounds)
- 1 pack from supply drop refills 5 backpack slots.

It depends on the mission though. Shield is def better against bots since they can shoot back
Autocannon costs you a backpack slot like the shield back pack for bots is super good as they are always shooting you. Maybe as a support autocannon is good so you could run more orbital/eagles. Railgun orbital is very good for taking out single massive threats like tanks and then running something like cluster bomb, airstrike or napalm is nice

play style is like support your team mates.. they got the eagles strike and stuff for fast clear of egg nests etc...
This game needs more. Destiny 1 was more advanced and its 10 years old
This is a smaller team compared to Bungie
If you don’t like the machine pistol emptying so fast, you can change it to semi auto by holding down the weapons reload button to see weapon options
Breaker (ammo hungry)
Redeemer (ammo hungry)
Railgun (slightly ammo hungry)
Impact Grenades (ammo hungry)
Supply Backpack *god rays* is the solution.
And as a FURTHER bonus: Picking up one ammo supply from a Supply Pod refills all of your current ammo AND adds 1 supply to your backpack essentially doubling its value.
fun fact always run light armor since the armor values are bugged and all do the same thing so light armor is the best at the moment
I love the laser Guard Dog for bugs. It clears little shits so efficiently that it just saves so much ammo.
Breaker spray n' pray...
In thumbnail: yup
In the video: nope
This is the best game of 2024 it’s either glorious gameplay or toxic players
Fixing to get back into this game with a friend. Great video to just bring me up-to-speed. Thanks!
the GL with the tacpac is just abosulurly insane if u dont use GL on smaller enemies so when u press 5 u get ammo for ur other guns too
I appreciate it when you sag "mags" vs "clips"
I would say an option for heavy armor would be the one that .akes you resist death, but I like the utility of having more grenades or stems.
theres a medium armor that does that
Pro tip
The SMG does the same amount of damage as the normal pistol.
Bugs: Liberator P, Uzi, 500kg bomb, orbital rail cannon, rail gun, laser guard dog
You could probably solo hell dive with this, the rail gun is that good against heavy bugs.
Bots: Liberator P, Uzi, 500kg, Orbital Rail Cannon, Anti-Material Rifle, Shield Gen Pack/Orbital Laser/Jump Pack/EMS Mortar/Mortar
Obviously still more of a work in process but sniping is super underrated against the Bots. You can take out the bots that can call in bot drops from afar or the heavies and save your orbitals for tanks or hulks that get too close. The anti material rifle can even take out the gun towers and anti aircraft guns/mortars from afar.
Yes someone acknowledged the machine gun! That thing is my lifeline basically. The huge mag is so good for just sawing huge hordes in half.
Helmets should give you certain boosts aswell
Load out slots for equipment/ stratagems for different situations would be pretty cool
Grenade Launcher+Supply pack is so good, Literally mowing down hordes of enemies in 1 or 2 racks of shells. By far the most fun i've had
Right the heavy machine gun is one of the best weapons that’s why they give it to you first so you can unlock all the difficulties and learn to play effectively
using light armour if you have the stamina boost unlocked its great for the whole squad coz you can kite away large units for those with heavy weapons
If stratagem codes are scrambled, just spam the shortest command code! They are scrambled anyway, at least you will have to type less.
If someone is reading this today the red armor is in the shop
@@Brass319 2 grenades to the "sac" will pop them nicely from the launcher, or railgun to the face is a 1 hit (most of the time)
@@aza454 Sure, but when you can save ammo, save ammo
@@Brass319 yes mostly, hence railgun. Although there's always a fair bit around. I am tending to play a bit more on the avoidance side now for fun.
@@aza454 just let the flamethrower man take care of it, or if anyone has an incendiary breaker just take a couple pot shots at it
autocannon goes so hard, the ammo capacity is just so good.
I’ve notice it depends on where it hits if it’s right one the head it one shots him but it may have been that it was injured or lower health but I don’t remember seeing any yellow wounds on it
Railgun only needs one shot to take down the Hulk by hitting the red LED light in front of it. Its quite OP!
My loadout for bugs:
Medium armor pen AR
Uzi sidearm
Frag grenade
Rail cannon sup wep
Shield gen backpack
Orbital rail cannon strata
Orbital laser strata
I am the anti-large things in my groups... reserve Orbital rail for bile titans.
