I love the cultural differences between the UK and USA, like in the US you get offended by the word C**t and in the UK we get offended by school children being slaughtered by automatic weapons.

Except he literally wasn't Joey. Unless Matt LeBlanc had his name changed, and was a young person out of work living in an apartment in New York City in the late 20th Century with a group of other 20 or 30 somethings.
Whilst looking for an acting job.
And went around saying to pretty young ladies 'how you doing?'..

I spent 23 years sailing on over 80 ships in the British merchant marine. The use of the universal English maritime language is flowered with many Anglo-Saxon superlatives - many of them four lettered. Though the use of the C word was used by the crew to interconnect meaningful words together to form sentences, the officers, invariably, were more inclined to favour the F word instead - the C word considered to be rather distasteful for social consumption in the officers' environment. I do, however, remember one captain on a ferry leaving Belfast and heading the ship out seaward down Belfast Lough one beautiful morning came across a flotilla of yachts in a race caught without wind. The marshalling motor cruiser in charge of the race hove to in the fairway across the bow of the ferry. A bunch of blazer and cravat types were sat in the stern of the marshalling boat paying no heed to the ferry bearing down upon them. Our captain, not known for patience or diplomacy, boomed out his displeasure through an electronic hand held megaphone, 'You stupid, c**** get your blasted piece of junk out of the f****** way!' The two thousand or so passengers lining the decks, swiftly drifted out of sight back into the accommodation - no doubt left wondering who was the rough diamond running the ship. That was the only time I heard a four bander using the C word.

In this sense it continues to be used to chart acupuncture points on the human body in various uses of traditional Chinese Medicine.
