“Anniversary a reminder…” Jaishankar recalls Kanishka bombing, days after Canada’s tribute to Nijjar

39 years have passed since one of the most heinous terror-related air disasters in civil aviation history. Montreal-New Delhi Air India ‘Kanishka’ Flight 182 was exploded with 329 passengers onboard in 1985. On the 39th Anniversary of the tragic incident, EAM Jaishankar paid tribute to victims of terror attack. Amid India, Canada diplomatic row, he asserted that anniversary reminds why terrorism should never be tolerated. The Consulate General of India, Toronto also announced to organise a memorial service for victims killed in the incident. As per Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigation is the ‘longest and one of the most complex domestic terrorism investigations’
