  • The Nissan GT-R is a legendary car, but it comes with its own list of issues, one of which is a major factory rust issue that lies between the metal of the shock towers and some surrounding areas. Garage Yoshida has manufactured their own shock towers that are superior and more resistant to moisture. Watch as Garage Yoshida disassembles Larry's R34 GT-R in under 6 hours and shows you all the factory issues to look out for.

I’ve been a mechanic 25 years and I’m fairly widely respected and I pride myself on doing every little detail to picture perfect factory repairs, where if it goes right and it should, it’s difficult to tell you even worked on the vehicle, spent first 13 years after market general tech, did almost everything except transmissions, then, moved on to the GM dealership for 11-1/2 and absolutely prided myself in tacking every training I could, that’d even kinda widen my abilities, and being as accurate and professional as possible, but, these two couple is beyond comprehension, this just can’t be done. 30:38 To be fair, a TON of cars, and quite a few of them Japanese, also have issues with shock towers rusting out. Subaru is particularly known for this in my area, Salt belt woes. Plenty of pictures online of a shock playing peek a boo through the hatch of a subaru.
