I really enjoyed this novel. the plot was well thought-out, characters were well fleshed out( not like most modern historical novels) ant the narrator's voice was crystal clear. I'm now going to listen to Elisabeth Von Arnim
Oh my gosh Elizabeth Von Arnim is by far my favourite author. Thank you for this audiobook. ❤❤❤❤❤ The ordeal of Elizabeth was a cautionary tale all women should read . 🎉
I thought the narrator had excellent diction and a pace both brisk and clear. Also, the author, born in Sydney, Australia, moved to Great Britain at age 3. A British accent seems appropriate to me. ❤
The story went along so well, right up until the end which seemed rushed, cut off, not really part of the story but just sort of a quick summary end. Disappointed there wasn't more detail in the telling.
I thought the ending was rushed and incomplete. the rest of it was very good. but the ending was very disappointing. this is the first time i have ever committed.
You can sort the books by searching "sweet regency romance". The "sweet" books are charming and clean. Katherine Bilson, M. A. Nicholas, Sally Briton, Deborah Hathaway and Jennie Goutet are all clean novelists and they're all quite good! Oh, "narrated by Stevie Zimmerman" will also pull up clean romance. She's a wonderful narrator with such a pleasing voice!
I bet you're American. The heroine of the book is English and I understand her perfectly. It would be stupid for the narrator to have an American accent. 😊🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘
Loved this story, and the narrator is excellent

narrator talks far too fast, it is quite annoying.
You can slow down the playback speed. Tap the cog in the upper right corner.
Anna’s naivety is frustrating.

Why do we have to have English readers So hard to understand
Listen closely. You will soon love the British readers.
What? You must be American. This Australian understands it perfectly. 😊🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘

The only good narrators are English ...the americans sound awful , and make the books unlistenable to
Suppose if it's and English setting, you wouldn't really expect anything else,I love the supposed upper class English accent
Oh my lord couldn't listen to that voice🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
