I suggest 1947 or 1955 for your first LVC pair of 501s. 1937 are also great firsts. But I really like the stuff from the 19th century. My 3 eras of vintage video will tell you the differences between years.
I’m thinking of doing an episode about them but I’m sure more information will be out later this year. Pre-1873, LS&Co was just a wholesaler of fabrics but I have a theory Mr. Strauss liked putting his name on stuff.
