I do have the fish fin (and lots of thoughts on it) but I don't have a mahina anymore or an elite. I can see if I can borrow some from my local pod and do an updated version of this in the future!
Would it be a bad idea for me to go from the finfun AMP fin straight to the mertailer tail 3? I love the look of the monofin, after strengthening my legs of course. Im a bit of a slow mermaid and im not one for speed.
It depends on your comfort level and how strong of a swimmer you are. I went from a finfun to the original fantasea fin with no issues myself. I don’t find the 3 too difficult in the water, but it is a very heavy fin on land.
@@mermaidminnow i am a pretty strong swimmer myself, but first its all about going back into training right as i get to go back in the water. While training i’ll get stronger and in the meanwhile order the tail fin and tail skin when i feel ready 😊
You're welcome. I'm glad you found the review helpful! I don't believe the luna will fit in the fantsea tail. I tried lining up the fin ontop of my whimsy tail for the 1 and it doesn't line up correctly to fit right.
i heard there's a quality issues? i saw the reviews of it tearing a lot on amazon... how's yours so far? i used linden and finfun amp and my ankle hurts if i use them too long, so i wanna try the luna as ppl say it's very comfortable
My first Luna my mertender ripped while he was trying it on, but I’ve used my other one many many times and it hasn’t ripped at all. I think I’ve had it for a few years now too.
You know, I don't know what the name is. It's the darker green one in the photo of all the monofins on his website, but I don't see it as an option to purchase. I don't think it was the sea green one. I tried looking for my original order email, but because it was three years ago I seemed to have lost the email. I'm sorry I can't be of more help!
@@mermaidminnow It’s fine I was just wanting to purchase the silicone tail sling and the mono fin I was just worried about it matching but I’m sure I can email mertailor to figure out which color green I need to match the skin. I’m pretty sure the light green is Maui breeze but I’m not for sure.

It genuinely surprised me. Especially because it looks so still above land, but once I actually swam in it, it felt amazing!
I would love to see a new version of this with tails like the Fish Fin, Mahina, Linden and Elite monofins added.

The luna is a really nice fin and so reasonably priced. Definitely a good starter!
I agree with you, that there is not a mono fin that is created right now that is my dream on mono fin
