this song is actually about the music industry. Mainly the love hate relationship between the business and music side of it.
"Can she really find one million of a kind...." platinum records are one million sales....
React to smooth Santana ft Rob Thomas and alien ant farm smooth criminal
that's the interesting thing about music. You can apply the lyrics to anything. This song is an example, who knows what he wants to get out. It's what you take from it is what makes a difference.
This song is about Corey's hatred of pop music.
@@xSikks It's not, and actually he's said he enjoys a lot of pop music and that it's a guilty pleasure lol. It's about the music industry in general, and specifically how abusive the relationship is between artists and labels.
This song uses the metaphor of a toxic relationship to what it feels like being in the music scene.
Corey is a master of metaphors
As he should be
He's the Meta of Masterphors
It's about the relationship between the music industry and their control over the musician. They give the musician the money and the fame but in return, they are the industries bitch. Still, I like to think its about a woman
The best part is it can be whatever you want it to mean and it makes sense. A drug addict and the drug, a toxic relationship with someone you love, the music industry, etc.
@@modifidious7171 I've always felt Corey Taylor has many meanings behind his words in a lot of his music. It all seems like a big open ended metaphor.
@@modifidious7171 Yep, that's what I love about Corey's lyrics. Even though we know what the song's "really" about, it can truly have so many meanings like you said. The first time I heard it, I instantly thought of both toxic relationships and addiction.
Its can't let her go *until she loves me
The “Duality” music video is iconic in the metal community and the song absolutely decimates. If that’s not on your list of Slipknot videos to watch, it really needs to be
@khronosfateless I know in most settings this statement would be subjective but you are objectively wrong and you need to leave
OMG YOU GUYS DID KILLPOP!!! So happy ty ty :) . Love the reactions and you both are amazing. Keep it up and much love again from Oregon! He is actually talking about the music industry but almost no one would know that unless you looked into what he meant but you actually almost got it towards the end.
I love how you two conversant about it and actually use thw lyrics to prove your point it's just amazing that you actually pay attention every time even if it's music you think you won't like. that's a solid can you do for a slipknot fan. you give it the same attention and respect no matter what genre music you guys are awesome
Real talk. I love an open minded person. Especially about one of my all time favorite bands.
I've been waiting years for someone to React to Killpop......what an excellent track !!! and video !!!
The drummer's name is Jay Weinberg....the son of Max Weinberg of Bruce Sprinsteen. Best drummer in the world today..Listen to the song Lech.
Joey jordinson passed away a week or two ago rest in piece he's the best drummer of all time
This is a pretty solid album, seen them a few years ago with lamb of god, motionless in white, and bullet for my valentine. Killer show .
keep em coming!!! Love your analysis
Cory's lyrics are awesome
They are deep
Like Nero Forte, even the pattern of lyrics has a message within a message within the actual writing.
Also Check out Solway firth as well.
Everybody immediately thinks it's about a relationship which I did too that's why Corey's a master lyric writer! It's actually about the toxic part about the music industry. Brilliant writing by Corey Taylor. Great song.
Slipknot- Solway Firth is a must hear also has clips from the show called “The Boys” on Amazon
One thing that makes Corey an awesome song writer is that his my ice are often sooo much deeper than what we perceive it to be upon first, second, fifth listen. A lot of times when finding out the meaning behind their songs, it hit so hard and so closely.
Nevermind for what....Great song, one of my favourite of Slipknot.
Great reaction!❤️🙏
ALL HAIL THE KNOT
Lmao Asia looks genuinely concerned during the duration of the video 😂 great react guys
What’s insane is that my old group and I before I stopped singing were contacted by Corey Taylor to actually do a cover from this song and it was played during the concert I went to before the concert started. I had pneumonia and still sung this
Shoutout the band's name, Jesse.
@@renaissancebatman the band most of us were in was called thrash at one time, but this was more of just a bunch of old friends coming back together for one last go at it
Add repeatedly said. It’s about the music industry. Slipknot doesn’t sing about a girl. Whenever Corey refers to “her” or “she” it’s always about the music. That’s what slipknot is about. First second and third. Music music music
Mainly towards the music industry
Music industry, Y'ALL gotta love it, AND IT LOVES SLIPKNOT
You should really check out their old stuff from IOWA album, because it's just crazy good
I love this song im 17 and iv been listening to slipknot since i was 5
SK straight up cray preforming live! 🖤
the song is his reflection on his relationship with music. That's who the 'she' is. And not just music, but the music industry in general. So there's a love-hate relationship there that really kind of comes into view
YA'LL GOTTA DO SLIPKNOT'S- THE NEGATIVE ONE!!!
You guys should most definitely listen to Vermillion pt 1.
Part 2 !
@@suryaananda108 Thank you! I thought I was the only one!
Mmmmm. Slow and grindy, *WITH EXPLOSIVE BITS!!!*
My favorite.
This song is brilliant.
This song is about coreys love hate relationship with the music industry
Been subbed to you 2 for a bit now. Love you guys so much! This is my kind of music but I know it's not yours so much respect for delving outside of your comfort zone. If you 2 were my neighbors we would be fast friends! You 2 are the real deal! No b.s. just honest. Wanna have some real fun check out Jinger Pisces. Have oxygen and a defibrillator on hand! LOL! Love from NJ! GOD Bless!
They've done Pisces and the newest one
@@mikewright256 Oh, missed that one. Thanks.
i feel its about duality.... he's talking about his inner personality trying to bring himself together, he's split like the girls in the video... tying to escape or overcome the other personality when conflict arises, yet trying to stay whole.... like the hole they try to climb out of..
the "we were meant to be together' refers to you accepting all sides of yourself. so die and become one rather than fight yourself. dont be one sided think in 3 or 4 dimensions while accepting everything else
"You can't dance to metal"
Sid Wilson: Ight bet
You can absolutely dance to metal! I do aerobics routines to metal...this song included.
@@melindaroop1346 My kind of girl 😂
This song is a huge Metaphor, (music industry) but sadly it touches on the subject of drug addiction, and clowns daughter passed from an OD. I’ve seen these guys many times live, and don’t think I’ve ever heard them play this song live? It’s actually one of my favorites…
This song Its not about drugs... And they played it live during the tour of the gray chapter album
Another vote for *The Warning!* Very talented musicians and songwriters, with a very passionate fan base. They have 2 shows at the Troubadour in LA sold out in hours and I know of about 10 people flying in from Europe just for those shows.
Now this band has a rabbit that a bus can fit down,PLEASE DO MORE SLIPKNOT , nero forte/unsainted newer stuff ,but the first album from 20 years is now legendary
I read an interview about this is how he sees the music industry when he says he talks about her he's talking about the music industry
Sooo many interpretations to songs its nice to see people come up with what they feel in the song. When I first listened to it I thought it was about a relationship. I was part right. Its about the love hate relationship of the music industry apparently. Psychosocial, unsainted, and devil in I are also great songs by them
This is why rock is the hardest music !!
I love this song.
The two dancers are actually dressed as musical notes. Dope reaction
I see y'all checking out rock that's awesome put parkway drive on the list to check out.
It's a metaphor of the music industry
You guys should check out BABA YAGA by SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL. It may just shock you 😂
YES!!!! METAL TIME!!!
It's a double meaning bar real song writers even in rock music have just as much as rap and I love rap
You're the best reactors ever, you really analysis the lyrics and make great discussions
Homeboy hitting the keg with a bat gets me every time.
SLIPKNOT Vermilion part1 and part2
I can't let her go UNTIL she loves me hahaha
She = music industry
Kill Pop is the Needle marks, addiction, guilt, a toxic relationship is tuff. But that's the symbolism of relationships, wether withe the industry or a couple. No correlation but left for interpretation.
Metaphors are confusing but fun to decipher.
Y’all should check out Aaron Lewis’s new song- am I the only one. Maybe react worthy 🤷🏽♂️
Fuckin yuuup!!! 👆🏼💯
They didn’t notice the girls had two faces - the pop industry is two-faced. BJ said they had white faces, but they had black and white faces
I always thought of "me" as the drug. The more you love it the closer you are to death. Just my own interpretation.
Solway Firth or Nero forte next plz!
People say it’s about metaphor the love/hate relationship between artists:mucks industry but it definitely fits the idea of a person who is in a toxic relationship. Only whos keeping who? It seems like while he thinks she is the one “in love” with him and “kept,” it is actually him that is addicted to her bad treatment. He likes her when she’s awful and awful to him. Maybe?
You guys should start pulling up the lyrics to the music beforehand 😂
Addiction in general
CAN WE PLEASE GET JELLY ROLL & MERKULES PLAYLISTS?
React to Jelly roll- Enemy
You should listen to children of the korn by korn. And Wolves by Kittie. Both great bands.
The song starts off talking about her getting tattooed.
Even though it's not where it's intended to go, this lyrics of this song makes me think of the probable mind state of my sisters ex bf who tried to tried to murder her years ago. Especially the "we were meant to be together, now die and fucking love me" part. I was the one she called to get her out of that apartment after he had bashed her to unconsciousness over and over again, crushed her windpipe strangling her. Then when he found out she was getting the fuck away from him for good, he bluetacked a photo of them two together on the bed rest and OD'd so we'd find him like that. He survived and she pressed charges, but he was completely fucked in the head and believed he really had a right to take my sisters life. And that's the gloomy place this song takes me.
Hi , You two beautiful people! I would Love to hear the new song of Asia! ..but I can`t find it! .. Maybe put it on Spotify ,( I know , they charges a little bit.. But then it will "spread" out to other "platforms" : like RUclips : ) .. Love Your videos!! Love You!
Checkout their song Duality
“Maybe I should let her go, not UNTIL she loves me”
You gotta check out GWAR - 'Slaughterama'
Its about music Industry
React to "Pittsburgh" by Amity Affliction. Kick ass song all around and full of emotion
Who here wants these to to watch S.T.P. Baba Yogga
LORNA SHORE - to the hellfire😈😈🔥🔥
This song sounds like if Yen was more Dynamic
I can let her go, But not until she loves me, she loves me, I just can't let her go, Not until she loves me.
Watch Slipknot in concert in England Song SPIT IT OUT. PLEASE XOXO BRANDI MODRAK AND HUBBY
"not until she loves me"
Hey guys! My friend's kid's band Villain of the Story has a pretty good tune called Break the Chains. I would love to see your reaction but even if you don't, check it out anyway. You won't be disappointed
Killpop or kpop is another name for shooting heroin.. it's taking about letting someone go because of their drug addiction and use. But how he can't because he loves her and he knows how much she loves him but still can't help her when she is like this so he is fitting to save her despite her
So imagine this song was written In the context of a woman... but is really about the music industry. 2 in 1.
I love ya’ll 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ooook….since y’all are doing this creepy band….PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE react to Linkin Park
1.) In The End
2.) One Step Closer
3.) Numb
4.) Crawling
5.) Papercut
You should react to Testament Brotherhood of the Snake
Not heard thjis tune ever .. But a lot of Slipknot.. But for me it feels like master of pupets by metallica.. I love you but you kill me , kind of thing addiction..
He's the addiction
She's the addiction
They both have the Drug problem and love sick death inevitable.
Toxic relationship psychologically.
But the metal lifestyle is as addictive and bleeds into relationships. There is hope, like Ozzy And Sharron Ozabourne they fought to get that relationship good. They have great kids.
Hmmm, I believe Asia and BJ are starting to get Slipknot🤔The comments about the music industry is correct and you guys were on the right path in the beginning about killing pop music and got it right at the end when you mentioned the music industry😉 Way to go y'all
I so want to see them in my area Oct13
kill pop. I know y’all lesson to the audience now👍keep it you👍
And you should definitely if you have not yet checked out Stone Sour Corey Taylor's other band same lead singer completely different style he'll blow your mind I would suggest through the glass or bother
The song itself is a metaphorical song about the music industry. Love and hate!
Business takes art and makes it tangable for profit. Business and art never mix. It serves opposing purposes. That's why it never works.
Please react to Duality by Slipknot!
Can y’all react to Lorna Shore: To the hellfire? Please 😁
Judith priest perfect circle or avenged sevenfold beast and the harlot
If you want to compare the full range of Slipknot, react to “People = Shit” then react to “Snuff” you both are very good at the reaction video, got a sub from me
I can’t let her go UNTIL she loves me
Try all out life by slipknot
The addiction to the drug is the singer
you got the lyrics of the chorus wrong, he says not until she loves me. not because she loves me
I like your reaction but the sound of the music is a little buggy sometimes
