“Whenever you’re changing blades, take that battery out”; proceeds to change blades a couple times with the battery in. lol. Thanks for the vids on these various Metabo HPT tools though, good information.

True comparison would be the 36V jig saw-its fast and powerful

I love the camera head shake, that was unique, haven't seen that on RUclips videos lol.

Drdecks: take the battery out anytime you change the blade.
Also drdecks: changes the blade with the battery in it.

I want the 36v versions. Hitachi has a barrel grip one too, but I cant find where to buy 36v jigsaws. Anyone know where to buy?

I like and own some Metabo, but this is a pass. Sounded rough when it was running? And like Douglas so eloquently stated, it does look big? Peace

If you had both Ryobi and Metabo HPT (18V and 36V) tool sets, would you go with the Metabo 18v jigsaw, or the Ryobi 18V brushless jigsaw for occasional work? The Metabo is actually only $79, while the Ryobi is about $99. I would consider getting the 36V, but I believe it is out of stock everywhere and very pricey when it is in stock.

36v is discontinued on their website

The Ryobi runs good it won't let you down. But I have lots of these HPT tools now and am getting this jigsaw.

    Is this metabo jigsaw brushless?

Lowe’s has it listed as brushless, but I believe it’s brushed. I like it regardless, but I’m not sure why they list it that way!

Is this jigsaw brushless? It doesn’t say brushless, so I’m going to assume it’s not. Why would they make a brushed tool at this point in the game is beyond me.

My god that thing is huge. Again, I’ll stick to my corded tools, more power, smaller for getting into tight spaces. I know it’s the future, why spend when you already have. As much as I’m a gotta have the latest and greatest type guy…. Wish I listened to myself 40 years ago, don’t need don’t buy….I wouldn’t have a hundred grand of tools laying around collecting dust ( no pun intended) if I was still as active as I used to be, I’d be on my way to Lowe’s to pick one up.😎😎😎😎😎

On the jobsite my cordless tools easy save me a 1/3 of my day if not more due to setup time and limitations of range with cords and hoses
Metabo HPT 36V tools also took away my dilema of long term use with the AC adapter option which makes all of those tools usable as far I to the future as plugs exist
The rest of the brands just wanna sell more batteries

@@baseballdude8491 1/3 of a day for set up and breakdown. Your guys wouldn’t have a job for long with me. I have one guy come in 1/2 hr early every day to set up for the crew and stay an extra 1/2 to roll up hoses, braid extension cords and pack up what ever was used that day.

The Metabo HPT 18V Jigsaw (Model CJ18DAQ4M), IS brushless! And $99 with Lifetime Tool Warranty (at Lowe’s) beats DeWalt’s 3-yr warranty, and/or Milwaukee’s 5-yr warranty! I’m sold on Metabo HPT 18v and 36v power tools!
