Apologies on the re-cap at the end i forgot the dipped beam light which is a blue/white wire which goes to the +12v side of the battery.
Happy new year David nice to see some videos that not been done before 😊
Happy New Year to you too 👍
Hi, information like this is invaluable! I have a question, I have a Duratec in a mk1 and I’ve acquired a six dial dash, I want to keep all the original Gauges, but I’m wondering how you would hook up a mechanical oil pump pump gauge to the electric oil pressure switch of a Duratec. I was thinking about possibly drilling out the centre of the electric pressure switch and tapping a thread into it to put a mechanical sender unit in there. Do you think that would be acceptable or is there another way? I don’t want to lose any of the original Gauges.
Hold that thought. The next video will explain that one 👍
heyy david. me and my dad started to work on our ford escort mk1 and we want to remove our dashboard to get it rewrap. Can you please tell me the locations of screws because we don't want to ruin the already ruined dashboard
Hi,
If your looking at the crash pad and im assuming its a original item then there should be 3 bolts that go through the metal dash and nuts that need to be undone. Mine wasnt fixed on that great so it was only 2. From memory one is where the dials are and the others are located close to the vents and in front of the passenger seat.
If your removing the metal dash then that takes a bit more effort but i will be covering that in a video.
@@davidgreen7841 thanks man, i also did some research and i found the way to remove the outer layer
