BIG NEWS: I have designed my own Survival Knife called “APO-1”. You can get it now at my online store: www.survivallilly.at/ Thank you so much for your support
Great demonstration on making this oven! And another fun day in the woods for Dax! I'm looking forward to a cooking video with this oven in the future. Atb, Stella
That is a cool way to make a oven. Looking forward to see how it works for cooking. You should try to make a bushcraft refrigerator for your camp. It might come in handy on warm summer days. I made a little video about this a while ago that you could watch if you are interested :) Thanks for sharing - Martin
One idea that came to me right away with this oven build Lilly (and probably to you as well), is that if you scaled it up a bit you would have a pretty awesome shelter, using the exact same technique! Like a mud igloo. Call it a Mugloo!
Great job Lilly, you have been pretty consistent with getting out there and doing different things, and the dog is so cool, thanks for the videos and instruction. Keep up the good work and take care : )
Watching this reminded me of a trip to Tucson not so long ago and seeing large blocks made of wattle and dorm, just as the Mexican people used...very good idea. Be interesting to see this finished and perfected and how well it performs while cooking. Good stuff Lilly. Best wishes - Steve
Hallo Lilly. Sehr cooles Ofen-Projekt!!
Do you trap or snare animals to supplement the food you pack in? Fish nearby streams or lakes? In the past I have done both but when I pack light on food counting on fishing or trapping I come up empty but when I pack extra food I tend to have success.
Hello Lilly, I live in South Africa and recently discovered clay on my property, I have to mine it out as it is at a depth of about 1 1.5 meters under the surface but it is worth every spadeful. I have built a clay oven and a double burner rocket stove my next project is a furnace/kiln a forge and then I'm going to start making charcoal. Clay totally rocks
Hi Lilly of the valley. I figured it out as I seen it, but others may have not. The hole on top is a exhaust for the smoke, and st the ends, this differences in hight is so the heat will flow towards the front to cook better.
If you would cover the entire inside and outside of the oven with kindling and fire the entire oven until the fire burned out then clear off all the charcoal and ash then that would bake the outside of the clay too which would keep it from cracking because then the outside would be just as hard baked and fired as the inside clay of the oven.
WOW Lilly..How long did it take to build it? Also what are you going to bake in this oven when it's dried? This is your third oven you have made so was this harder or easier to build? Thanks for the info Lilly..Great video as always..
I know that her dog has now passed away, but she is amazing! Those kind of dogs are ment for outside, and unfortunately, many dog owners keep their dogs inside more than they do outside. She is doing her dog a favor, and taking her dog with her outside, and she is letting the dog explore new things Anne enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air. Great oven by the way. I just subscribed
Take you a few apples, some sugar and cinnamon. Keep whole, split or quarter the apple. Add some of the mixed sugar and cinnamon to the apple and place in aluminum foil. Place it into the fire for a few minutes. Once it has soften and caramelized, add a little more sugar and cinnamon if wanted and eat. A very good camp fire snack.
just saying I think that might have worked out a little bit better if you had brought a tarp with you too put the clay and grass into and did the Cobb dance but this clearly worked out either way can't wait to see what the other looks like when it's completely dry
Primative? We still use them here in America by us Natives. (Native americans) God job, it's so lovely to see you enjoying the outdoors and getting your hands dirty. I Love It Myself! Many blessings from our Creator/Father God.
The ground will absorb a lot of the heat. You need to raise it off the ground or fill it up underneath with sand and then clay and start building it up like that.
Hi Lilly, just watched your Canada videos. Just one comment, instead of throwing away the fish bones, crayfish shells try boiling them down and adding wild greens. It makes a really good stock/soup which you can store for a little snack before bed or to dip your Bannock in. Excellent show though, more like extreme camping rather than survival per se, but most excellent. It looks like you had an awesome time. Much love from England.
id seriously like to hang out with this young women. i love the woods camping hikeing just the out doors in general. Always looking to learn new ways to live outdoors.and aways have my two companies with me a pit and a shepherd
I love your videos Lilly! Thanks for presenting in English. I am trying to learn German. What breed of dog is that?; he is reallly a great companion!; you are so lucky! Best, Matt
Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have to get used to spiders. They turn up in your house without a warning. I know a fear of spiders is not pleasant, my wife suffers with it, but the more you can expose yourself to them, the less anxious you will feel about them. They are really beneficial to have as well, they eat all of the annoying pests that share your house and they make beautiful webs, that look especially pretty with frost or dew on. :)

Good looking oven. You did a good job on that.
thanks Lonnie

يوميات واحد عراقي اجابك اهنا ودكوله اني عراقي😂😂
The effort you put into creating these videos (with all the camera angles, editing and explanation) is on a top level. Great stuff.
This is great, Lillie! I hope you will do a video where you demonstrate actually cooking in your oven.

Outstanding Lily! You are definitely a go for it kind of young lady. I'd love to see you back something in it. God bless!

Thank you, Lilly. I had no idea of any above ground ovens. This would be great for a common, regularly attended camp site.
Really nice oven. Well done.
Bill
That is a truly awesome project. Definitely going to give this a try. Thanks Lily!
I love the look of that oven and hope all works out the way you hope with it and you can cook food in it.
Sehr cool! Gut gelöst! Gute Woche noch Lilly.
I would have appreciated a follow up cooking video of some sort demonstrating how to use it
Great job Lilly, you have been pretty consistent with getting out there and doing different things, and the dog is so cool, thanks for the videos and instruction. Keep up the good work and take care : )
nicely done - been wanting to try a variation of this after watching Jas Townsend videos
Lilly, you look more rested today. Great ideas just keep coming. Thanks.

Well done Lilly, looks very similar to one I built some weeks ago. It works really good.

Very well done Lilly!
Just all around great - nice filming as always Lilly!
Just wanted to say I love your videos. What you make looks like a lot of hard work, but worth it in the end. Very informative too :) Thanks!
Nice Survival Lilly morale patch. =)

Lily you are amazing I honestly love your videos KEEP IT UP😄
As always awesome job Lilly....thanks for the video.
Wow that looks pretty easy good job. Look forward to seeing you use it

Thanks and good to see Dax again.
Another great video Lilly. Thanks.
Great video, I'm impressed with how industrious you are.
I'd have to drill holes in our Tennessee chirt to do get sticks into the ground like that :)
I like the other oven you built last year, it look about the same place. Dax looks like he's having fun too playing in the mud.
And everyone thought just little boys liked to play in the mud! Good idea! Think I'll give a try...
I stopped watching your channel around last Christmas and my dad got me an English springer spaniel!! I completely forgot that you have a similar dog
Would have loved to see you cooking something using it :) Great work as always by the way!

Please show us some follow-up videos with the oven in use. I'd like to see how it turns out.
Best channel on RUclips!
Hooray for Dax!

Great video Lilly!
excellent job.
Cosmetically it doesn't have to look great, as long as it functions as intended or more.
Eine Steinplatte als Wärmespeicher wäre noch toll gewesen.Super Video. LG Sven
Cool, looked really good, any chance of seeing some cooking demos of this setup? How thick did the walls need to be?
Good Grief !! Super Spider. Good thing you had Dax to fight him off
That seems really close to the water, do you ever have animals come in your camp in the middle of the night? Also are the bugs thick in the morning?
thanks ,muchas gracias por subir siempre nuevos vídeos.
fantastic! i loved watching this.
EXCELLENT!!!
Playing in the mud is fun, no matter what age you are. Just because you are building something useful doesn't mean you can't have fun!
Your dog is adorable!
Primative? We still use them here in America by us Natives. (Native americans) God job, it's so lovely to see you enjoying the outdoors and getting your hands dirty. I Love It Myself! Many blessings from our Creator/Father God.
Good job! Thank you for sharing..
Got the same pair of Fjallraven trousers! Most reliable pair i ever owned!

Gotta love Dax...he's the greatest! Gaurd, companion, friend, & hunting partner!
Moin Lilly. Klasse gemacht 👍. VG aus NRW
I have seen in other videos that the opening to the oven should be 63% of the height of the oven what do you think
Awesome vid is always Lilly! :D

Frost or dew means outside. best place for them.
That is to show you to losen your fear if you're going camping or surviving
Awesome!
May I request longer videos? at least 10 minutes. Theyre just so interesting but short. Great video though!
Very good.. big thumbs up..
