Thank you for this video. You answered for two of the questions that I had...correct temperature setting and turning off refrigeration when it does not slush.
Hi so our vevor recommended -9 for our drinks and we used margarita man and it was good but when we added alcohol it was watery. Would I need to check the sugar content or what should I add to thicken it up?
Hey there, Crafty! Without liquor in it, it should have slushed way before -9.0. Many of my recipes will slushy between -3.5 and -4.0 when I don't add alcohol to them. With liquor in the mix, the normal range for my recipes is -7.1 to -8.3. Some, like the Sangria, need a -9.0 setting and some, like the Pina Colada, rarely break -7. For sugar content, try this: amzn.to/3yY77DA This is one of the refractometers that we use. For a quick fix, allow your mix to unslush with a setting of 4.0. Then add 4 oz of Simple Syrup to the tank or add 1 cup of sugar to three cups of water, mix it very well, and place it into your tank. That should fix it after 30-60 mins or so. Let me know if that works for ya! Cheers.
Hi my machine slushie is working fine except sometimes it makes a loud noise when the thing is rotating it does it for a while then the noise just stops what can be causing that
I know exactly what you are talking about, Linda. Here is a video where I address that issue: ruclips.net/video/jpDcF8KMTNQ/видео.htmlsi=6LC6s537UdkUowl_
First, welcome to the slushy family, Reshma! Let's work this problem together. What recipe are you using? Many times, the problem for first time users is one of two things. First, make certain you are using a negative setting (-7) as opposed to (7). Some users don't realize they haven't set it as a negative which you do simply by clicking the + or - button on your Slushy setting until the display gives you the - symbol. Secondly, what is your sugar level? We use a refractometer to make sure our sugar content is high enough. Here is one of the untis that we use amzn.to/4g1euuJ A 13% sugar content is needed for my Vevor X-300 tanks. Let me know if the setting or sugar level isn't the issue and what recipe you are using!
Great question, Kevin. I leave it at 4.0. I've found that leaving it at that number allows me a 15 minute window. So, when I hit the "Slushy" button the next day....15 minutes later...BOOM! Slushies are had! In fact, today I made a batch of Long Island slushies and just mere moments ago I hit the "Cold Drink" button to let it settle down for the night. Cheers, Kevin!

Can you use alani in the slush machine? Also if you want to slush something that does not have the 13% sugar is there anything you can add to it to make it work?
The energy drink? You can indeed, Becky. I have used energy drinks in a ton of recipes. One of the really fun ones was a recipe using Red Bull, Dr. Pepper, and Captain Morgan. Which also answers your second question....using soda in slushy machines makes up for the sugar content! Just don't use diet soda as it won't work. Cheers to ya!
When u turn your machine to cold drink over night is it okay to turn it back to slushy then next day even if your below the minimum fill level? Thanks for the videos!!!
Great question, Chad. Indeed it is okay to do and I do it all the time. Being over the fill line is necessary when mixing the initial batch. What we do is, once it is below that fill line, we won't leave it on Slush too terribly long at it creates too much coldness and it causes the exterior of the tank to frost and freeze over. That then prevents the liquid from slushing.
That's so weird. Shipping is free on orders of 6 or more, Tamara, and I've never heard of them charging for more than 6. You should reach out to them and ask that the shipping be refunded. Here is their free shipping policy: Free Shipping Conditions Free shipping is available on retail orders (not discounted wholesale orders) placed on our website when ordered by the full case. There are six (6) bottles in a case, so the following quantities qualify for free shipping: 1 case (6 bottles), 2 cases (12 bottles), 3 cases (18 bottles), etc. You may mix and match different flavors to fill a case and qualify for free shipping. However, partial cases (less than 6 bottles, or 7-11 bottles, 13-17 bottles, etc.) do NOT qualify for free shipping. All Free Shipping orders are shipped via UPS Ground® and will arrive based on transit times from Stillwater, Oklahoma, to your location. See previous paragraph for more information on estimated ground shipping times.
The machine? Not really. My machine is in our bar area where there is no carpet and wood paneled walls. So, it sounds a bit louder than it actually is.
Great question, Noah. If there are flashing, you need to add sugar to the recipe. The Vevor X-300 is designed to mix recipes with at least 13% sugar. Anything less than that and it will flash at ya. Honestly though, I have had tons of recipes turn out perfectly while it sits there and flashes at me lol! I use my Brix machine to tell me sugar levels when all else fails though. Here is the one we use: amzn.to/4f1cEsH
That's a fair question. We too checked out the reviews prior to purchase. The only issue I have with Vevor is that they do not offer spare parts after the 12-month warranty. With that said, the only parts we've needed while within warranty were gaskets. But I have since figured out how to stop ruining them (lol) and I've found resources that supply all the normal wear and tear parts, such as the gaskets (Thank you, Amazon!). So, I don't mind Vevor. Minus the gasket issue, my X-300 is a dynamite machine that we use about 300 days a year. I have cracked a tank (100% user error) and fixed it (I have a video on that), and my buddy has broken a handle, which I've ordered exact replacements for from another company. I would wager that I am in the top 10% of users of it, and I've no real complaints. Cheers to ya, Reagan!
@@ReaganSmasssh Oh, it's well worth it! You get slushies whenever you want them AND it arrives in a legit wooden creat just like the leg lamp on A Christmas Story! The only thing I would change is that I should have gotten the 3 tank version. While we only use one tank for daily/weekly usage, when we have parties everyone always wants us to layer the slushy which would be perfectly done for all of the patriotic holidays to layer red, white, and blue. But other than that...it's awesome!

Glad it helped, Brand. These things are soooo much fun to have around. I'm working on a spicy margarita slushy today!
When you’re making slushie does condensation drain run normally?
It does, yes, I've had zero issue with proper drainage in my Vevor X-300! It works perfectly!

I’ve done that with mine and it’s been fine. I have been testing mixes 1 gal at a time and it’s below the minimum line. I haven’t had a problem yet.

Why is the numbers on my machine keep flashing ? What do I need to do to make it stop flashing or is it supposed to be flashing ?
