It sounds like a I4 because it's literally 2 I4's mashed together. Look at the pistons. Pistons at the sides reciprocate together and Pistons in the middle reciprocate together
@mprism7985 different crankshaft layouts are used in V8 engines. The temerario's is flatplane, like in L4 engines. That's why it sounds like a 4 cylinder. Regular V8s have a cross plane engine, causing the rumbling sound
Unfortunately the turbos muffle the engine's screams, but it does sound better than most other turbo engines. The 10k RPM redline makes up for the sound.
Finally Lamborghini stopped focusing on the sound, because they know that anyone who buys a lambo will change the exhaust anyways so it's a win-win situation for both Lamborghini and and the exhaust manufacturer.
