  • Hi everyone, welcome to ARTSY North East!
    If you have never done macrame before, this feather piece is easy to follow and you can make it yourself at home. Be prepared to spend a few hours or even days on this piece (depending on the size of your feather piece).
    You will need:
    1. A wooden stick (any stick you like)
    2. Macrame single strand cord (either 3, 4 or 5 mm).
    With one of my bundles you can make at least 2 large macrame feathers. With an XL spool you can make at least 6 feathers.
    Here is a link to the supplies: www.artsynorth...
    Macrame brush: www.artsynorth...
    And you're ready to create! Make yourself a nice cuppa, put on your favourite show and enjoy:)
    Please share with me your creation, I'd loooove to see it! @artsy.northeast

    I just finished my creation after watching your video. The only thing I would add is, I wanted a stiffer look so I sprayed them with hairspray on a flat surface and let them dry then hung them. I'll try to post a pic . Thanks for the tutorial.

    I love your projects and you have been so incredibly wonderful to work with 💖. I’m wondering on the size difference between your different feathers. I have the info on your longest one, but no other size. I’d like to make as many beautiful feathers as I can from each skien ( oh my gosh are these colors gorgeous!) I’m thinking 2.. possible 3 max? But want to salvage the full beauty of each one, as I cannot sacrifice the beauty of your creation just to save a few dollars. So Even approximate length of a medium feather would be of help ☺️. As always, thank you for you sincere kindness! ❤️

    • @artsynortheast
      @artsynortheast  3 года назад +1

      Hi! It's hard to tell exactly how many cords you need because 1) it depends on the thickness of your cord 2)How tight your knots are to each other. I can tell you in grams I use between 150g-200g of cord per feather. I hope this helps, sorry I cannot give you an exact amount.
