Glad to see a review of this GT. I followed the build on his Instagram for a while. He sure has put a lot of work into it. Love the sound of that whine.
Im a hardcore holden fan but i can't not love the wynn of this beast. Respects to the owner for such a neat work. Hey rose, let me know if you are ever in Sydney and would like to review a 2012 ve pushing 920whp and making 1495nm.
You know when ya can and can’t flog the crap outa a car on your reviews.. this one was kind of special and set up really well.. loved it bro.. credit to the owner on the build
Love the deep note of the "old" Boss engine! This is a perfect balance of supercharger whine and exhaust note in my opinion. I don't think it was mentioned in the video - any details about the exhaust setup?
@@blownfg2473 nice work. Best xforce I've heard personally, would sound even better in person. They seem to sound "tinny" on the Boss 335s which is why I went for a Manta setup on mine.
Love the noise of Super-Charge V8 Engines. From 2024 looking back to 2008 all FORD Australia had to do was Super Charge the 5.4 BOSS engines. Ford Super-Charge 5.0 Coyote in GS, XR8 and GT 351 they could have easily done it on existing 5.4 Boss. I have a feeling in A parallel universe the 5.4 Boss may have been super-charge from the factory.
Wasn't that they couldn't supercharge it or didn't want too, it was that the thing wouldn't have passed emissions requirements as even an N/A in the years coming. Sucks, i love my Boss 260 (with a vortech supercharger), i'd love to have seen a proper factory package but was never ment to be
There are 22 other cars in the four second club that are quicker that Ross has tested. Similar weighty cars with slicks and multiple launches might be half a second quicker or 3/4 second quicker.
@@RossReviewsau yeah 100%, ngl when I saw it on your ig story I was expecting the miami but a big heavy boss making this power and doing a 0-100 under 5s is already impressive ay
One thing I want to know, where can I get an E85 conversation done for an echotech V6? I am going to forge the engine, top and bottom and compare HP capabilities with a L67 on E85.
@@vxsr33 supercharger for sure, not sure yet what type. First a cam, tune to match cam, forged parts top and bottom, larger exhaust incase and much $$$. L67 I think is better. But echo is cheaper...but weaker in some ways.
@@moosethe1st910 ok if you're supercharging E85 will definitely make more power and help with heat management since it has a cooling effect. Any decent standalone ecu like haltech or link will allow you to run E85 and flex fuel. You will just need an E85 compatible fuel pump and injectors, recommended to upgrade all the rubber fuel lines to E85 compatible ones too
I'm just building a 5.4 now with great stuff in it with Whipple supercharger...motor comes out next wkend pulled apart.. machine work then rebuild .. different size pulleys cams rods pistons everything...
Fuck yeah! I have always preferred a turbo spool-up sound over a super wyne but still sounds bloody nice with the 8! Boss is my favorite-sounding V8's (probably... i do love the Windsor too!)
@@RossReviewsau Yeah man even for someone not fussed I loved this. You seem to be in Melb a lot lately mate? I'm in the south-east suburbs if you ever need a hand (such as filming some outside drive bys) or anything at all, or just a beer and a quick ride on the Harley you're more than welcome but I am guessing you're a busy man. I've only got a pretty average BA XR6T but she's one of the first made (oct 2002) although it wouldn't be worth doing a show on compared to the cars you have on. Unless you're up for some drifting on the track? 😏BF 6 speed Manual box with 390rwkw and a really tight diff hehe. Cheers bro
That note is incredible, no clap just a smooth burble
It’s very well done
the car has turned out wicked Michael, well done.
It still not finished yet mate still more to do
Great car
Sounds absolutely wicked
Micheal you always want more lol

always a good watch Ross! will have a few cars for you to reveiw in SA shortly if ya keen!
Thanks mate
That's what I miss about my FGX XR8 is that whine.
Love a good whine

As a holden man this car is awesome thanks for video sir Ross
Glad you enjoyed it
What a beast. Have to love a blown boss. Personally i reckon they sound better than the miami v8.
this did sound incredible
Need a fgx black roof trim
would be nice
Nice car, blower always wakes these up,that 1450 nm would be on a roller dyno,it wouldn’t be derived like on a hub dyno
Either way she’s a torque monster
_i don’t care about the hp or the torque, I’m here for the WHINE 🤤🎶_

What a monster sounds awesome nice to see a angry ford v8 cheers bro Vz Glenn 🏎🔥👍
Glad you enjoyed it
💯 Michael has made us Aussies proud with this exceptional example what a car mate, loved this one Johnny thanks brah.

I reckon with a good set of slicks and a perfect launch it could run a faster 0-100 than 90% of cars in the same class you've tested

dont happen often

Was the supercharger fitted to stock motor? If not, what modifications were done
Watch the video man🤣 it’s all their
Pretty much a Gt500 with 4 doors
But with a couple of hundred kilos and no dual clutch gearbox. But certainly a more practical and Australian one!
I've seen one or two falcons with the aluminium block from the shelby.
Seems a bit expensive and silly tho compared to other power options out there
