    Ha, this was the video I used to measure up my collection. It’s been in my favorites for years. Terry, it’s me, Vincenzo, from the Gameboy Paradise group. I’m sure your collection is even bigger than this now. Cheers!

      Hi Vincenzo! Really happy to hear from you here in RUclips. And thanks for the feedback! Due to how life happens I cannot afford being active in RUclips (for many years :D) anymore. Each year when I think that "this Spring" I will shoot up my collection I have tons of other responsibilities to take care of. On collection side I achieved my goal of having every known label mixed across NOA and EUR while ago. Not sure if its' 100% complete list but works for me and my only concern is when will I actually have time to play and categorize the collection again :D

      same here, just started .. thing is, its not getting easier money wise. i imagine you have to pay now 3 to 4 times the amount needed to acquire this collection 12-15 years ago. it became a business for many people to buy those games in bulk then demand a hefty premium for a loose cart. Its a grind to be a fresh collector nowadays , takes a lot of patience n search to pick every single game for a fair price

    First time looking at this video. Great collection here - I certainly have the means of creating my own video, so maybe once I find the time...
    I only started collecting for Gameboy in 2014. For me it is fulfilling a childhood dream, and I love looking at the labels. My target is to complete the PAL area releases, but I am picking up those USA, JAP and CHN cartridges as I find them. Today (2016) I have about 70 to go. Sadly quite a few rare and expensive ones. :S

    • @TerryLondon
      @TerryLondon  8 лет назад

      +Flozem B You have been very fast if you are only 70 behind. It took me more than 5 years to finish my GB title list (mixed US and PAL collection). GB collection is cheap to start but it gets bit expensive at the end. Good luck finishing your collection!

    • @flozemb7835
      @flozemb7835 8 лет назад

      Thanks - only doing the full PAL set, so I am probably more behind. Though I have around 30 of the US exclusives and alternative titles. Most of which I found quite cheaply. :)
      No kidding regarding the pricetags of some of those last 70. If I can find them, they are quite insanely priced, and the sports titles are a drag. No particular hurry though: I don't want to burn myself out.

    I used your collection as a guide, so thank you. It really helped!!!!!

    • @TerryLondon
      @TerryLondon  7 лет назад +2

      Little Miss Nintendo Fan Thank you, that is so cool thing to hear! I think I completed the collection, at least the goal I set to myself once. I wanted to cover every label (not unique ID code) over US and PAL games. And this is exactly what I achieved. Many of US labels are substituted with PAL versions and vice versa but for me they are identical anyway. I have duplicated only the labels where I see clear differences on label art. So far I have not spotted any hidden treasure to hunt. Maybe some cooler Japanese titles. If you want I can send you my list where I keep track of the collection.

    • @littlemissnintendofan6558
      @littlemissnintendofan6558 7 лет назад +2

      i have a few more to get (i think 18), am up to 581 carts (all pal/ntsc). The toughest to get were Bamse, Beethoven, Lingo and Lucle. I get all variations too. I may one day extend to Jap games (Gargoyles Quest II, Wacky Races) for example. Then the tough part, upgrading to CIB, only have a small collection of 124. Hard to find other collector's who are not elitist Nintendo Age!

    • @TerryLondon
      @TerryLondon  7 лет назад

      Little Miss Nintendo Fan You have done spectacular work! Bamse is on eBay for whopping 250$, not worth so much. I bargained my copy to 50.

    • @littlemissnintendofan6558
      @littlemissnintendofan6558 7 лет назад +1

      Thank you, your collection certainly inspired me! I was more happy getting Beethoven as it is so rare to find. Bamse is way overpriced, but that's the market at the moment!!! My best deal Amazing Tater for £8, and CIB Kid Dracula for £75 (one sold for £565 recently) CRAZY PRICE!
      I will update my video when i complete my collection, it should be a good one!!

    Thanks for asking! I started serious collecting more than 5 years ago. Before that I just couldn't keep my hands off from any classic Game Boy item :D As Game Boy was quite rare in my country at its heyday I have done most of my collecting through internet by ebay auctions or swapping. Of course during vacation trips I keep my eyes open and sometimes I have stumbled on good gems. But all rare stuff I have comes from ebay. Luckily collecting classic GB is not so expensive hobby yet. • @TerryLondon
    @TerryLondon  13 лет назад

    @BigDog91527 Actually this is the case with any collectible series. You can buy things off ebay with big lots. Sometimes even full collections at once (but I wouldn't call that collecting).
    I know the value of my collection so I know this collection cannot be narrowed down to typical 100 games eBay lot out there. Buying big lots of games is good way to start a collection but very soon you see that all those 50 game lots contain same games over and over.

  • @TerryLondon
    @TerryLondon  12 лет назад

    The value of collection is always relative but rough estimate of the collection in video is around $2500-$3000 if you would want to buy the similar collection. That may sound unbelievable but not every GB game is available at $5 today. But on the other side when I'd have to sell these games in a week the chances to get much more than $1000 are quite low. That's the tragedy of life :D

    This song was stuck in my head all day XD Anyways, I am looking for a GB game that I used to play when I was like 3 or 4 years old (so I cannot really remember what it really was like) but I remember there were a lot of minigames (50 or so, maybe more or less) and the picture on the cartridge was pink with black. At least, I think it did. Do you have an idea of what I'm talking about? It would really help! Nice video by the way, you sure have collected a lot :O

    Awesome collection. I've just started out on my gameboy collection and i'm looking forward to it. Are you going for a full mutli-region set?

    • @TerryLondon
      @TerryLondon  10 лет назад

      Thanks! I try to get labels that have different (and cool) cover art in different regions. Otherwise I do not care much if the game is US or NOE for example.

    The game you asked about is: High Stakes Gambling, Electro Brain, Jun-1992. Those R-Type games are exactly the same game but for different regions, 6:09 is UK version.

    Could someone help me know the name of this ooold Gameboy Color RPG game? it was kinda like pokemon but you were supose to find eggs and then you would get a creature when it opens, there was this blue and white creature that could fly following you around and it would talk to you, it was the very first creature you get and seemed relevant in the story. The levels were kinda like mazes. it was story driven not just level-clearing based and was super fun, i belive the cartridge was black but i could be wrong i was super young at the time but still remember alit of the creatures that appeared in the game. A blue Knight called Tundra i believe, a green thing with a long nose, a flying red eyeball. Many monsters could appear in a different color but that changed their element if i remember correctly. Can anyone remember the name of this game ? i would loove to pay it again.

    You don't have the original Monster Rancher card battle game for the GB :o
    Had that game before. It's really good in my opinion. It mixes dungeon crawling with card battles.

    Hello, i was searching for one of my favourite childhood game.
    The game is something like Super Mario Land, however it is like a space robot shooting game with world stages. I pretty sure it is Game Boy game not GBC/GBA game.
    Do you have any idea what's the game name of?
    Thanks alot :)

      I actually meant specific Power Paws game (EU release name for Catrap). I have heard about that. I have seen game magazine pre-release review but not game itself. Probably it just do not exist and I can pull that title off my wanted list :)
