At that age they needed a big dose of confidence and a huge talent to tackle an iconic song like this. Bravo !
What amazes me maybe the most about them is their complete dedication to what they love and that at the same time they keep being humble and approachable.
Quick FYI on this video. This was recorded by their dad in their basement studio(The Cave), after a family backyard BBQ. They had been sending videos of their progress to their grandparents and relatives who live in other cities. Luis Villarreal(Dad) couldn't send it by email because the file was to big, so he sent it to them via RUclips. Once it hit the internet, it took off, i.e. 24+ million views.

@@nickforell1 Another note: Their dad sold his classic Harley Davidson motorcycle to get the money to renovate the basement (The Cave) for the girls to have a place to practice and hone their talent. All are classically trained on piano. The drummer is the mastermind of most of the ideas for their songs, but all 3 girls are involved with each song, which is why they have a unique sound of their own.

Lots of funny stories around many of their songs, but Dany says she practiced her James Hetfield scowl in the mirror all weekend to get the right mood. They are a treasure, articulate, goofy, and future hall of famers

Nick thanks for reacting to The Warning's first video which took the world by surprise in 2014. Was awesome to see them live two nights ago. Was our third time seeing them and they keep improving. I will post a video of that entire show in New Orleans on my channel as soon as I can.

Nice Reaction! They were 9, 12, and 14 years old in this video. They are now 18. 21 and 23 and little Ale, the bass player, is now taller than both of her older sisters.
They have released 6 songs now from their Teatro Metropolitan concert in Mexico City and they are all great. Animosity, Choke, Money, Disciple, Enter Sandman, Martirio (in Spanish).
I'm glad you gave little Ale a little shout out. However, her bass playing abilities at that young age often gets overshadowed by the size relationship to her and her bass. She is definitely holding down the rhythm with her sister Pau. Dany does have a unique and powerful voice today and an awesome front person. They were already vastly more talented than most garage bands at their age. They've worked really hard over the years and are on the verge of becoming a household name in Rock. Thanks for continuing on this The Warning journey.

I like a straight cover, but I really like it when a band makes the cover their own, think Johnny Cash and Hurt. The Warning has done this with their cover of Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara on the Metallica Black list album

As someone else said, they did a totally different version for Metallica Black list Album with Alessia Cara. I would do a double reaction. One with the Music video and one with it live at Teatro Metropolitan (That one does not have Alessia there but has some of her backing vocals on backtrack) I personally prefer the live version but both are excellent. Oh, and good on my friend Ron for introducing you to these fabulous ladies.

As you venture into this amazing rabbit hole, one path that you'll definitely want to take at some point is their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. Yes, they wrote a full concept album in middle school, and it's an absolute masterpiece. I would recommend watching the videos in order from their 2018 concert at Lunario CDMX where they performed the entire album live and in order for the first time (along with a couple of earlier songs between chapters). The whole concert was professionally filmed and recorded and just takes you on a roller coaster of a journey.
The one other Metallica cover they've performed is Atlas Rise - I think there are 2 videos: at the Whiskey A Go Go and in The Warning Cave. They of course did a great job with the song but there are a lot of other songs you'll probably want to hear first. I only mentioned it since you might be interested.
i could suggest so many songs right now but maybe their updated version of enter sandman that metallica invited them to do on the blacklist album.. it would be cool to watch the video with alessia cara and then the live at teatro video to see how far they have come in live performances. it would be fun to do them both back to back in the same video!!!!

@@nickforell1 If you do a reaction to their cover of Enter Sandman that they did for the Metallica album, do the live concert one at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX and not the music video. They are a great live band and this concert was pro shot and the audio is great too. Their newest version of this song is completely changed from the original that they did here.

I do it, you did it, and I'm sure everyone else has done it. You can't help but smile when you first see the line up for this video. The smile gets larger once they start playing. I'm sure the sisters probably smile too when they look so serious in the video without realizing how absolutely adorable and smile inducing the look is to the viewers. Our smiles are in awe and fascination. As mentioned below, Dany is the only teenager at this point, 14, 12 and 9!!!! I have to say Nick your recording is probably the best I've heard. More bass tone I think, which might also be drowning out Dany's vocals somewhat? After you mentioned it though, I think they might have been more forward? Adorable Ale! When the song was over she just stood there as if wondering if it was good enough and she could go do something else now?

@@nickforell1 yeah it was by invitation from Metallica to be on the 30 anniversary of the Black album called Blacklist. All 52 artists were encouraged to make it their own and The Warning and Alessia Cara did just that. They had 8 days to write, record, mix before the deadline and had to do it all from Mexico with Alessia in Canada. I recommend the video for first listen then the live just so you can see who sings what with 4 amazing voices happening. Plus the video is really well done.
At the time of recording, I believe the girls were even younger than you stated Nick. I think Dany was the only teen @ 14 yrs old, Pau 12 and Ale 9 (!) (please correct me if I'm wrong TWA)

Fyi: Alejandra had only been playing bass for about two years at this time. They performed this in one take. They remarked in a vlog that they were nervous about messing up toward the end of the song because they would have to do it over. Pau also commented they were off time. I didn't think so, and it should be raw anyway, being a one taken live session. It wasn't a studio recording.

Yes indeed. Like others have sadi, you should go and listen to 1) the OMV with Alessia Cara, then 2) their performance form Teatro Metropolitan. They remade the song to tell it from the female perspective. Less a cover, than a rethinking of how the tale is told. Sooo good.

There's a short clip of them playing on a suburban street before they were ever The Warning. From what I've read, Ale was just 7 years old and had been playing for two months. No pressure!

Ale, 9 Pau,12 Dany,14 I couldn't even pay attention at those ages . So, I know they didn't just wake up one day and decided to play ENTER SANDMAN... they probably started learning at ages 6,9,11.this is after they were all classically trained on piano, then mastered the game, "Rock Band" Yep that's all true.... I'm glad you started The Warning journey at their youngest. What they are now is unbelievable.. crazy good in so many ways. I grew up on really great bands LED ZEPPELIN, PINK FLOYD. that was my play list most of my life. Now it's, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, THE WARNING. for the rest of my life.. I'm confident you will not be able to stop this journey with THE WARNING TWA🤟🎶☮️

Nick, great reaction, and as always, your commentary is spot on. Just one correction though. This is a couple of years prior to Tedx, so Dany would be about 14, Pau, 12, and Ale approximately 10! Definitely check out the more recent version in the past couple of years with Alecia Cara , which went on Metallica's Blacklist album. There you will see them at even more of a professional level. You mentioned how Danys voice could suit other genres well during covid she did a bunch of covers with just her accoustic, cell and voice, like Billie Eilish, Foo Fighters, Jason Mraz & others. But in these early days it was Pau that really pusjed or lead them. Now though all 3 kick serious a$$. Their video for Money is awesome and filmed wjen the opened for Foo Fighters or their reimagined version of Enter Sandman. But cool reaction and look forward to "More"

You beat me to it MVE, it's my favorite cover performance of theirs. It was filmed around the same time as their first TEDx (early 2016, the one Nick reacted to a few days ago was their return engagement), and they played the song at the TEDx, but this version gives me goose bumps. Ale was so fierce!

I'd recommend watching the music videos for Choke, Evolve, Disciple and Money. And then start checking out live material which is their best stuff. Money, Disciple, Martirio and their new arrangement of Enter Sandman from Teatro Metropolitan on their main RUclips page are all live videos that are top notch. And if you want to go back to older material, Dust to Dust live at Lunario is great, and the XXI Century Blood music video is really well made as well.

@Nick Forell I should clarify these are not all female bands like The Warning, but female fronted metal bands are dominant in Europe. And spectacular. A lot of new Warning fans actually came from Nightwish, like myself.
