His entire career is marketing tech. That's what NCIX had him do forever ago. Nothings changed. I personally think he is trying to entertain any skeptics watching. Salesmen know they can address a critical concern head on then frame themselves as welcoming. So long as he doesn't take a stand against the Claw's price his words are hollow. Also, you are right about the Sponsored but not sponsored thing. Supposedly Apple does that. They don't pay jack, but if you call them out they cut access and your SEO rank mysteriously drops.
I think it's fine. They say it's sponsored, so basically it's like an ad, but they won't lie _outright_, they'll just conveniently leave out the pieces of information that shows the product in a bad light. I don't mind when they do this. I'm much more annoyed when they accept sponsorships for harmful and shady products, or showcase dangerous things while downplaying the danger. But overall, most youtubers have to accept sponsors to be able to do it full time, and most youtube sponsors are shady, and LMG is among the better ones when it comes to vetting sponsors.
LMG shouldn't be taken seriously anymore these days. Linus use to be good for useful reliable information, but he's shifted more towards sensationalism over being informative for the sake of views and sponsorships. Gamer's Nexus seems to be a better place for getting more informative info on PC hardware.
@@happygofishing To be fair his intended audience has always been for the average normie that mostly uses Windows. But yeah I get what you mean. He was a good source for me on learning how to build my first PC back in 2016 when I started getting into tech.
It's youtube. Literally everything here is an ad.
But what about "those" people? What should we do about "them"?

Even though most of these sponsorships later come out to be scams. Like Manscape and Honey being the latest offenders
