I worked at 2 different ford dealerships for a total of 15 years as a heavy line tech…..I’ve never heard of a repair taking almost 5 months! That’s insane to take that long….if I remember correctly the longest I’ve ever experienced a long delay for a repair was almost a month.
It was waiting for a part that was back ordered..with these modern vehicles they are very complex with computers and wiring which can be troublesome ….
Good luck with your journeys in the future.

Good luck and don't forget to have the transmission serviced asap 30000 miles for hard driving . 100000 for normal driving . But I would have it done immediately. My dad ordered 4, Ford Mavericks back in 2022. We have not gotten any yet. So we decided to go out and get a Mitsubishi Mirage instead.
So, when/if we get the Maverick, that will make it so we have 3 cars starting with the letter M.
Ford Maverick, Pontiac Montana, and a Mitsubishi Mirage.
I am very happy with the Mirage, I been getting about 50-55 MPG on the freeway going 60 with cruise control in the slow lane. Plus it doesn't have any recalls or any of that, so it very well could be more reliable than the Maverick. Plus it's easier to work on. So we will see.

This almost makes me not want to get a Ford. You dealt with issues for nearly half a year. It’s nice that they loaned you vehicles but someone who needs their vehicle for their family and work, not ideal in my eyes. Was looking to get a Ford F-150 but not after this.

Five months is not acceptable. Seems like you can't rely on quick repairs for anything these days. They'll blame the supply chain I'm sure but when they are churning out 100K of these per year there's no excuse that they couldn't get one faster. Next time try contacting Ford directly and take it up the chain.

Ford's are generally very reliable. My family has owned about 30 of them, with the exception of two 80s Ford's, they've all been solid.

I know you really like your truck, but I’d sell it and get a Tacoma. Ford has been slipping on QC for a good while now. I was in the market to get a FORD, but I passed and I went with a Tacoma. To each their own, but if possible, I’d go with Toyota when it comes to reliability.

Ridiculous that a new car with only 90k miles already had its transmission break and serviced

I might want to wait until the next video. On his previous video he said they replaced the transmission and it was acting up the same, so my guess is the transmission was fine. It could've been something electrical

Great to have your truck back, yeah, fof sure. As long as you don't have to carry it again. Good for now, maybe. Ford...😬🙄 A bit over a year old, 5 months? Downtime? and on a second transmission ++??? 🤬 Garbage. Going to see your next vid. and hopefully this POS goes. Its definitely NOT a Toyota, huh?

What are you going to do when this happens again and leaves u stranded yet again
    in 5000 miles?
Just keep pretending nothing is wrong with the quality of the vehicle.
And it will happen again Dunstan.
