Naming calf’s after your subscribers, falls under the saying, no good deed goes unpunished!
17:50 LOL you made me really laugh hard with that one
"We aren't built that way." is an important lesson that my Dad taught me. I missed the dancing during the lime spreading.
Yes...no spinning or twirling. Kind of disappointing. 😂
@@krisloughley3332 I don't want to take full responsibility for the lack of dancing and the frustrating throwing of the lime. But it might have to do with the comment that I made last time, about wondering if the differential case was made out of the carbon-fiber, Kevlar infused, plastic, and I tried to be nice. By not saying the sheet metal pop riveted together one that lasted for 30 years. So he probably went online or went, and price a new one that should be cheaper. If made out of the Fantastic Plastic made Cheaper by corporate using it on their stealth Fighters, but was surprised when it was double the price. So the rich Corp CEOs can get all the off road diesel they need to fill up their yachts. Shame on me😢😢😢?😮 . Iama bad boy, did it again😂😂😂❤
That lawn needs a miracle 😂
haha yes it does
Thank you Cole Dad Brian and Jeff for sharing everything.God bless you all.
thankyou
Any place that cold, with that much snow, for that long, should have a Christmas tree up year 'round... or at least a Festivus pole so you can complain about it.
For the rest of us?
You are such a wonderful husband. Very thoughtful. Makes you home much happier.
Nice scoopin' & spreadin' & tending to the critters today.
Cole, i still have my same tools from over 40 years ago! All of them are still good because all are marked, 'Made In U.S.A.'!
Yeah!
Yeah I have some stuff that long too it says “ made in Germany “ and some says France and some says Great Britain I’m in my work shop and looking at the stuff as I type, wow made in Japan never knew still no made in USA but I will keep looking, love from Ireland, bingo knackered dewalt drill 2 years old says made in USA , does that count? Unfix able apparently must dump it.
Your dad forgetting the name of the song momentarily is the best.
As always good songs so many that I grew up with
Hello from Tijuana Mexico 😂love your dad he is so patient with you calling him out that he took to long my goodness you are a very lucky man Cole keep on farming you guys are great good job dad
Thanks for the video.
Cole , have your mom check the yard sales this spring for a spreader.
And church rummage sales
Or in your "spare time" get out that Lincoln welder and some light sheet metal...and weld one up?!?💪🎯👍🤣🙃🙂😂🙃🚜💩💩🌞😎🐮💩🦝🌄
8:21 Cole you never win arguing with the boss, and you sure as hell won't win when the boss is your Dad 🤣🤣🤣😎👍👍✌️
And a Brain...too!
Hahahaha! "Creep" has been stuck in my head all day today, it's a good though.
Good to visit with you today.
Great video 👍😉👍
Even though I didnt get a calve named after me, I am not mad at Brian. Of course he is out of the will, but I still will watch the channel and say nice things about him. There is always next year. Waiting for my T-shirt.
Uncle Jeff is soooo handsome. He could leave the farm and be a supermodel.
Always enjoy the banter between you two. Pictures of you running the pay loader with the ice covered branches was really creative.
Yes, I thought that shot quite artistic. Cole makes his videos so interesting that way.😊
Cool Ice Wood composition!!
I must have blinked, I missed it!
Bull Day coming, time to stock up on the stroopwafels! Hope you guys got a lot of sales this year.
Looked at Stoopwafels today in the grocery store.
You mean get
I truly appreciate what you and your father do 🙏
thankyou
Hey Brian...Freddy Fender ...
Wasted days & wasted nights ...
Been on replay in my head all day.
Heard it this morn at Home Depot...
Good song of the day too...
🤣😂 ok... I don't know which of you came up with the inserted photo of the "creeper" in alliance with the song Creep? but yup! that was a good one! Lol! And, I'm sad that your calving season is winding down. I so enjoy this time of year and the videos you guys put out. I guess YOU both need a break from it all though. 😂 I put some recent calf videos up on my page and shows one bottle calf that is learning to lead on a halter but she looks like a romping, happy, great dane dog! Lol! Silly girl. We have a ways to go before we finish calving season up here and it just keeps snowing and SNOWING up here. argh.....
In Southern Virginia with that much ice on the trees people would be out of power for days.
Same in GA...
Yep, and everything would be shut down, here in Northeast Georgia!
Love being a part of ur days on the farm😁 thank u
I appreciate what you and your father do. Sorry Brian because of Cole I still have that dam Sonne Farms song stuck in my head
Look at that big ol bag👍
Brian you are definitely a good guy.
I appreciate that.
Respectfully and with love in my heart, maybe put the spreader in the truck empty so the weight doesn't break the plastic moving parts then fill it on the ground where the weight is distributed better. I know you are used to well made sturdy equipment but if you have to breakdown and buy a cheap one, like I do, gotta baby it. Ok done back seat barn cleaning. Luv ya. BTW, always remember who the dad (boss) is and who the son (you) is. No matter how old you get, if dad is in his right mind, sons do as dad says. Sorry, fact of life.
If you're interested I have more ideas on how to spread your Lyme without a spreader that may be less hassle and less expensive and may be beneficial to your bedding spreader.
Thanks Guys brings back a lot of memories of my Grand Father's Farm. Brian here's a song for anybody that grew up on a farm. Little Jimmy Dickens's "Out Behind the barn"
Cole; I do not call it domesticated, you are now officially a member of the "Wooped" club. Please enjoy and I hope it last a very long time. Thanks for all of your time putting these videos together.
HOUSEBROKEN. 😂
Hey Uncle Jeff ! good to see you. you all work so hard, thank you
How about The Snakes Crawl at Night by Charlie Pride for song of the day. Loved Cole’s dancing. His mom might not be dancing about her broken spreader.
Should be able to zip tie that spreader transmission back together. 😎
Another great video. Thanks
I’m so happy those mommas have a nice warm cozy place to have their babies! 😊😊😊
And people say their "abused "
I love watching you and your dad, Cole. With your lime-spread dance moves (on the first view), Cole; your song of the day, Brian; your amazing work ethic and drive, Cole; and the farming knowledge you are both willing to share with humor, humility and combined years of experience, you two are a one-stop-farm-music shop. You make me listen, learn, laugh and appreciate our family farms. Thanks, guys.
If a critter waits to crap until after weighing at the sale barn it will buy you a new lime spreader.
I LOVE 💘💗♥💓💛💖 your programs and watching all you do. I enjoy seeing what's going on in your end of the USA 🇺🇸🙂 Keep up the great work and enjoy your time with your family. From GA.
A couple years ago, after breaking several cheap fertilizer spreaders I bought a titan attachments spreader. It is been good for me, it was $80 3 years ago, now they are $170…thanks for the videos!
So nice to see you care for your animals even if they are for profit so many farmers wouldn't waste bedding to keep them dry you two are very caring guys
Because animals are for profit they must have same care as "pets". Those for profit animals pay for the rest.
Hoping you get that warmer weather that is forecasted. You’ll have had enough Winter. God Bless.
There is something eerie about prowling around the farmyard at 3 in the morning. It's like the critters know you're spying on them and watch you with suspicion, or something. Anyway, it pays off in the number of successful births. Congrats gentlemen on another successful "claving" season.
Hey Cole, the implements need a wash😂😂😂
a job for when we arent busy
While listening to Cole's rant about spreader cost I realized he is getting close to starting stories with "Back in my day..." lol
It’s in my day because he still not very old!
That doesn't sound nice.
Ha ha ha. It comes sooner than they think. And the generations keep rolling along. When you are a couple generations up, it's fun to watch and listen.
4:00, great shot!---Domestication was sure to come!---I don't do social media, but couldn't you find someone selling a metal spreader for cheap?---Weather is all over the place for me too. Almost 90 here today, back to normal 60's tomorrow!---I'm glad you weren't thinking of using my name for a calf...it's hard for most folks to pronounce. So thank-you for skipping me!
I love that song "Creep" I will try to find and post the version I love... Stay warm, spring will come.
ruclips.net/video/F1xlmISoX-w/видео.html
We are leaving Pa tomorrow and heading your way on vacation, still going to try to hit Storla Station this time! Hopefully we go by when it’s open unlike last time! Lol
Well, Sonne Farms has produced another quality video. Thank you. I sometimes comment to my wife as I watch your channel. . . . you know, the quips just seem natural with you. I might even laugh. Note that I do not laugh at you. I am enjoying the subtle things. . . . like no regats. 🤣 . . . and did you notice that I have not even asked, not even once, to have a "calve" named after "moi". I am a Calgarian, which is "cowtown". We have French spoken in a number of provinces. . . . hence the "moi" word. Have a great week. If you don't, you might have to turn the "other cheek". 😊
well done sir
Maybe until you get your spreader fixed, you could sit on the rack of the 4-wheeler to spread by hand as Brian drives slowly around the barn. 😏
Of course it might be harder to do your little dance at the end that way. 😂
Domesticated Cole! Great job, Guy's!
Good video.
Maybe next year auction off calve naming rights and raise money for your favorite charity? Or just buy Cole lime spreaders. 😊
I know it’s tiring cleaning the barn… but I think livestock really like clean bedding…We used to raise show pigs…they loved their pens clean and loved the new bedding…So I love watching the your process of keeping your barns clean and your feedlots clean…,Great job guys!!!!❤
Don't you know your new neighbor from the city was thinking "what kind of sick puppy rides around a cow pasture at 3 a.m. looking at cow butts with a flash light?" But hey, who am I to judge!
Speaking of garden hoses, I bought a high quality hose 40 years ago from Sears when I first got married. Well I replaced it last year. Glad I paid for the quality. If this one lasts 40 years that'll 'bout do me.
Every hose I've ever bought lasts about eight years. Why? Because I get a puppy once every eight years or so and forget to put the hose up before i remember the hard way that they like to chew them lol
Lesco spreaders Cole. And yes, you are right, 400 bucks is what you'll pay for that quality.
Absolutely did a great job with getting the cows/calves out of the extreme weather. Do you guys use a Alkaline/Acid foam solution for sanitizing all the barns after usage. May the "sun" shine on Sonne farms
Love watching you and your dad. Good video...🎉
Hey guys, we always appreciate your videos. Keep it up. Hope you have a great year. Brian, FYI _(in case you didn't already know), a song that sticks with you is an earworm. Sometimes they last for days - until something else takes its place. Sometimes the Song of the Day does that and it's a good choice. Thanks, guys.
I love the beauty of sunshine on the icy tree limbs
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
You have nice weather coming-yeah!!!! That will be good for a change.
You and your dad are always thinking of your cows and calves and I compliment you for that. Like making sure they have fresh bedding and the concrete is clean and the barn is cleaned out. My compliments to you both. You take excellent care of your herd. Not all folks ate like that.
Sounds like you are getting toward the end of calves except those at uncle Jeff’s place.
Will be exciting place next week for your annual bull sale. You have a good crowd show up for that. Also they love your snacks and waffle things you have for them. People like to get one of your bulls.
Good song Brian and good singer. Good pick for the day.
Cole, look at a tool shop for a line spreader like you want. Theirs might be metal construction like you want. Just a suggestion.
About it for guess for now. You both take care and be safe.
Thanks for everything Cole and Brian.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
🇫🇷 75°F and extreme drought south France since 30yrs .. unforeseen water contingency… vs amazing winter at your place .. .. would never imagine it in SD.. No doubt Summer will arrive shortly for you guys .. very nice herd. Keep safe … God bless
Hope you the best, during your drought. There never fun.
I love watching your videos. Sometimes it think of you and your dad as the modern day version of laurel and hardy of the farming world.😅
...except Laurel and Hardy didn't do Song of the Day...or have a station to go to....Storla Station!
Great job caving in the hard winter you all are the best
Thank you for a great video. Tell Mr. B to save the names that he didnt use until next year. Thank you both very much. Really enjoyed
Spoiled herd. Living their best life. Awesome video.
It begins with grass seed and watering, then the next thing ya know your full tilt into petunias, begonias, and bearded irises. It’s a slippery slope that domestication. 😂
oh my
Another very interesting video Thank you
I used to throw grass seed out by hand in the snow if i knew it was gonna melt. Worked for me. No watering.
Go to your storage of old,not used equipment and see if there is a metal differential in the junk pile that you could use.
Great video going be planting time soon. God bless
Creep (Radiohead) is now officially stuck in my head. Thanks for the video guys!
As usual your on the job right up to the end. Work never seems to end cleaning the lot to make it more comfortable for the stock. Thanks again for a great video. Go out and do something’s for yourselves.
Yea thank you for all y’all do for this channel so much appreciate all the content fun to watch
Such a great idea to use corn stalks for bedding, I think that’s what it is. Really enjoy your Chanel, thank you.
yes it is
Another good one.
thank you
Good day Young man. 80°? In Northern Colorado (Fort Collins)southern Wyoming (Cheyenne ) tonight and tomorrow snow, Cole 80°, where are you? In Gellitte Wyoming Noaa is talk about snow. It is April 27 2023. Are you Ranching in Florida? Fantastic video,
I spread my lime with a gallon coffee can. Cheaper than a spreader!
Looking forward to seeing things starting to green up for you guys. Hoping the rains are timely for you guys this spring.
You might be able to find a spreader at an auction or garage sale for a good price.
But when would they have time to visit auction or garage sales!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Cole make sure you do a video. On cutting the wrap and twine off the processor. People should see that rodeo!
Hey Brian, thought you’d like the corny joke I told today at the Corn Palace: Mr & Mrs Cobb had a little kernel…they dressed him in silk, put him in a crib…then everyone stalked around and said, “Aw shucks!”
Thank you guys for another video! Watchin you put that ring over the bale at the end of the video made me think itd be cool to see a timelapse of what happens to the bale and bale ring
Hi Cole and Brian. Great videos. Those spreaders are expensive new. I do not buy new ones. They sell cheap at Garage sales, 2nd hand stores and auctions. Keep up the great content and God Bless.
I used one of those little spreaders professionally. Nothing domestic about doing work XD Much bigger than that and you'll wish it mounted on a Brodonk (4 wheeler)
What a great video 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎😎
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!
Cole, The best broadcast spreaders are made by Earthway.
I noticed you installed one of those fancy new autobrian gate openers @4:00. Have you found that it's pretty reliable? Cole, can you put together a video with your review please?
😊
Seeing the icicles took me back to my younger life….I had a niece that called the “ICESUCKLES” ! If I see any today that it what I call them…..just to reminisce a little and call her name! 🥶
Great taste in music at least.
Something about the bail processor just excited me. Love watching it huck the bedding lol. Man If I had a farm in would just process bails of hay.
Song of the day in Lower Alabama, Rag Top Day, Jimmy Buffett
When is Cole having claves of his own 😅 lol #notimeforthat yet !!!!😂Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽😎🌴
Looking forward to your planting season and the performance of the corn planter after the work you did on it. Keep up the great content and God Bless
There's always next year for more names 😊
