It was very last minute because the record jumped up the British charts suddenly and one of the dancers whom I knew asked me if I wanted to be an extra in the club scenes part of the video. As an 18 year old college student I said yes and I have now found myself here on RUclips 43 years later! 😂.

In my opinion, Soul Train was better than Bandstand. The intro was better( the animatedTrain), the dance floor ambiance was magical, and everyone was dressed so fabulous. Plus the Soul Train line dance was always amazing.

Probably just about the only time a pale face appeared on the show was when the group Tower of Power was the musical guest. And to their credit I believe they were the only band to have performed live. I highly recommend looking it up on RUclips. They sounded great, and the interview in between songs wasn't even that bad.
