You have got to try Dorothy’s soul food kitchen in Baton Rouge Louisiana. I get the fried fish cabbage rice and gravy and yams with cornbread and a sweet tea they really have the best food in Baton Rouge’s
It’s because a lot of places don’t measure the temp on the pork chop. They cook it to 165 deg like chicken, but pork is supposed to be cooked to only 145 deg. Those extra 20 deg makes it dry as hell.
I need to make the trip down to Dallas to try this. I've been missing this type of food ever since I left Houston and moved to Oklahoma for work. The drive back to Houston is way too far and long, but I don't mind doing a 3 hour drive to Dallas for this (along with other things).
Don't know how I missed this place but thanks still waiting on you to try wingfields burgers a couple blocks from there on Illinois and zang and there is a jamaican place called Jamaica gates in Arlington on collins and Arkansas you will not be disappointed
