It's lovely to hear someone so honest and open spreading positive messages regarding all the various topics you mention (weight loss, self love, acceptance, relationship with food and exercise, mental health, outside factors). I think you've communicated this all so well. I hope you are proud of the foundations you have created within yourself, it is amazing!👏

You had me at ‘I’m just gunna be blunt’ ❤. Congrats on your wellness journey, I’m much older and it took a health crisis, which is often the case before I changed my way of being - I wished I had woken up earlier but all the things you talk about are real and true and hard to overcome. I’m onboard for your journey Leslie, you are already identifying the benefits and these things that are working for you in this season of your life. The awesome news is that continuing will set you up for wellness as you age. 🎉

You really gave me the drive to do it for me, not for people, for my mental health and for the way I feel about myself.
    Thank you by all means.

I am happy for you, it takes a lot of strength to achieve what you have achieved. I am glad your health has improved as well as your confidence. I empathise with you that people treat you differently before, I don't think that's right. Nobody's worth is valued based on their weight or appearance in any way, and even if you knew that, I'm sorry that other's let you down in reflecting that. Thank you for sharing your experience & wish all the best for you :) xx

I've seen most of your videos in the past 2 days lol, i really like the way you speak about things and explain things. Losing that much of weight is a great job, and deserves creating many videos about. And I think you have the potential to speak about diverse subjects other then that, like you did about therapy, etc.
You have inspired me so much 😉

@@assemomar4296 thank you! Yes I’m trying not to pigeonhole myself into just my weight loss and definitely want to keep sharing other things too ☺️ I appreciate that

      @@lesliesjourney you're welcome.
You just keep being natural and spontaneous and whatever the videos are about, they will be very good and inspiring.
I'm thinking if your reading books habit has anything to do with your reciting skills and captivating style 🤔 lol.

You wanna know how I came across your video? I lost 40 kilos and gained visible muscles.
The loosing weight or building muscles part was actually not that hard after getting started the right way but everything else around it was.
I'm autistic so food has been a massive issue since I was a toddler.
I have never eaten normally, I just ate the same textureless safe foods that never changed.
I have a pallate of a child but I figured out away to eat "like a child" as much as possible keeping macros and micro nutrients as main focus.
I needed a bit of help from a nutritionist specialising in eating disorders.
She said it is ok to eat abnormally to others as long as tge nutritional needs are met in a healthy way.
After getting help, that was not that difficult either.
My absolute hardest thing was people around me, I was accused of having restictive ED I was told it's ok to be fat and don't get disappointed when you gain all of it back.
I was laughed at when I said I'm working on getting my abs visible.
To the point I could not share to this day with ANYONE what I went trough because there were those who have constantly failed in weight loss or repeatedly dieting and gaining, those who have never been obese and those who have never even tried and those who were projecting their own experiences on me and refused to listen that this is not my case my problems are differend we are all differend mentally.
So I had to do this all alone without irl support besides professionals such as nutritionist and therapist and body measurement staff of a clinic that measures your progress, fat and muscle percentaches.
I follow a few people here on youtube who have done what I have and I feel like those people are kinda like my friends eventho they do not even know me and I keep trying to find those people who understand what life was before how we ended up succeeding and how much we appreciate the life we gained after the work we have done.
Every time I come across another person who knows atleast some of the struggles I know, it keeps my spirits up and I remember I'm not alone and prevents me from being alone with my thoughts and crushed under negativity that my friends amd family spew at me eventho they mean well but do the absolute opposite by projecting or just being ignorant on the subject.
I'm so proud of your accomplishment Leslie💕 keep your head up high, you deserve it!
