the formula is deviating from you teached
x(1+or- a/100)^pow -> said but they using x(1+or- a/x)^pow

Follow the same solving pattern as 1st. You'll get
100(1+a/100)^3= 181.58
1+a/100= 3^√(181.58/100)
a= 122.00-100= 22%
For second q ans is 21%
