Great lesson, I just learned halftime shuffle from your another VDO and I can play it nicely at 95 BPM. Now I added the 1st fill into the groove and I can't stop playing. Thanks so much!
@@markomarkovic5729 Thanks - I just picked up the Byzance Darks but those hats sound delicious. Credit to the player though, if I hit them it'd probably sound like an angry elephant yelling at kids to get off its lawn somehow.
@@Fisherdrumming Thanks alot. Its no surprise alot of us were asking about it. Next to Perdie himself or even Steve Jordan, the way you were playing was TASTY. I know trying to teach flow and "attitude" is a more elusive topic, but I'm sure you can school us younger cats :D
Beautiful fills
Eric you’re the man. I watch your stuff whenever I get the chance. Thank you
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Just loving those triplet fills...Smooth and grooving...Thank You Eric............
The halftime shuffle is a favorite so it’s good to know how to flow around the set with some tasty fills that work with shuffles! Hope you guys enjoy.
awesomo hi-hats, man!
Very good drumer and very well explained!

These are fire. Perfect timing as I've just gotten really comfortable with a triplet feel/halftime shuffle groove but need some fills!
You are a great teacher…💪🏽
Digging your channel. 5 star work. Look, sound and style are great. Most of all I like how clearly and succinctly you present the lessons. Thanks you!
These are beautiful fills, thank you very much!!

very nice........upload more fillers.......thnx frm india
I had the same set and Year of Gretsch Renown’s. Selling them was the dumbest thing I’ve done. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Oh, that is a shame you sold those. I have that same year kit, and love them. They are phenomenal sounding drums.
If I’ll sell mine want me to let you know? I may be getting a new Gretsch kit soon
Thanks Eric, but the exchange into Canada would over inflate the price for me.
Ah! Yes, I can understand that.
There’s nothing like that Gretsch sound though right!?
Nope, I’ve tried everything. I have Yamaha Live Custom Oaks right now.
They’re close. But just not the same.
Thanks Eric
This maybe a stupid question, but where is your third Tom and why did you remove it? Thanks, R3N
Can I ask what the brand of the hihat?
Meinl Dual Hats
Bro- what are those hats - vintage dry?
Byzance Dual hats!
Thanks for this video, very helpful, but ive never seen those hats, which are they?
Those are (I think 15") Meinl Dual hats
@@markomarkovic5729 Thanks - I just picked up the Byzance Darks but those hats sound delicious. Credit to the player though, if I hit them it'd probably sound like an angry elephant yelling at kids to get off its lawn somehow.
Yes they are the 15” Meinl Dual hats
Tasty😊
Cool !
Forget the fills, you'd better do a video on that sick shuffle you did.
Just posted a new lesson on the shuffle. Had a handful of you guys asking about it. Check it out!

I think your drums are recorded too hot or too heavy on compression. Thanks for the video
