That is how Sakitech operates. He would follow people on twitter and the moment something even small comes up he would make a video making a big deal out of it. I have seen maybe 10 videos of him with this supposedly awesome tricks and none that I already didn't know from my normal android experience of 8 years.
I think Adaptive brightness is decided when u're outside not at home.. I turn it off when I'm at home but when I head out I turn it back on as it helps alot. Once my phone battery was low and I forgot to switch it on and I had it very low and I struggled for literally 7 mins or even more trying to find a shadow even next to a car tyre just to turn it up a bit, it was 10am and I will never forget that day 😅

For real I thought I was gonna learn something new but I've already noticed that since I got my s10 plus everytime I be under a sunlight I notice the screen gets even brighter even if it is set to max automatically, when I'm not indirectly under the sun it goes off but still at maximum, impressive trick but I noticed in very hot sunny days the phone might get a bit hot due to the conditions.. Yeah but is there a way to keep that brightness without being in direct sunlight? Because sometimes I'll be outside in the shade and the brightness of the environment around me also makes it harder to see my phone. But it doesn't do this unless my phone is in direct sunlight. It doesn't exactly help that situation.
I actually hope there to be one last best note. As a note user myself I really love what my note 9 is capable. But note was losing features where as it actually needed to distinguish from the S. Until it's no Note for this year. But I hope at least one last Best note is needed and aslo hope its never gets discontinued until those fold reaches to the acceptable point
Already been using it for years for this exact reason, and more importantly it prevents screen burnins, a lot of tech channels always suggested to turn off auto brightness not Realizing the significant damage it causes to the screen such as burnins and low peak brightness!
My comment is very late, but I want to ask. I'm just curious, how does it prevent screen burn in? I've been using my Galaxy phone in like 10 to 20 percent brightness to prevent it from having a burn in, and I can't fully enjoy the 2k display because it's a bit dim for my eyes
@@beastmaster6946 mate i have been using my Tab S5e on max brightness since i got it - primarily watching youtube videos so it has black bars on top and bottom, i have yet to see any burn in.... and this is with a custom rom which allows the brightness to go all the way to the limit of 500 nits rather than the software limit of 350 nits
Actually you do not have to activate adaptive brightness to get maximum brightness. Outdoor mode will always activate when you are under bright conditions. The hole video is absurd and time waste

At very bright situations with users wearing sunglasses (snow-desert, beach), colors gives way to black-white and matte background and edge-contrast... some digital-watches have such LCD and phone screens can be set to display with these as a guide.
That's the problem with my A52s I cam ready the screen outdoor. The Samsung specs has the sunlight mode under the direct sun or bright light they pump up to 800nit. But in the shade is awful. I really want to be able to set the maximum brightness manually
So far not much new, the problem is that the phone seems to get pretty hot very easily (don't mean overheat) in hot weather conditions. And when that happens the screen doesn't go to super brightness anymore. On hot weather days is the moment you need that high brightness levels and it doesn't work like 50% of the time...😔🤬
Screen issue at max auto brightness in sunlight was existed on A53 & this device suffers from same issue too, in this situation, you can see finger sensor ghost & one circle ghost at the left of selfie hole on white color screen like contacts or massaging apps for example. This is an exact A53 issue that remain on A54 too.

I dislike adaptive brightness. What I want is a setting that sets the minimum brightnessb to half brightness or even full brightness and lock that brightness setting so it won't be able to be changed unless I purposely turn that brightness setting OFF. That's because when I put my phone back in my pocket I accidently set the screen brightness to minimum (very dim) and had a hard time getting back to being able to use the phone. Having that happen again could be a disaster if it happens accidentally during an emergency. Thanks.
Thanks a lot. Mine has that spot on the side near the turnon button. It bothers me when I go outside and cannot see the screen. Now that I learned the trick, I'll try to direct that spot towards the sunlight and fortunately it'll adapt to brighter screen.

Saki, my S20 FE 5g, reduces the brightness outdoors as soon as the phone gets hotter! So this trick which you just explained does not work. My screen is almost unreadable under sunlight. Of course being outside in the sun it gets hotter and down goes the brightness. I love this phone, but this is a big issue! Any suggestions?
@alfred - I have exactly the same phone and exactly the same issue. Overheats within a minute and dims to unreadable. This is a well known fault on the forums and Samsung should face a class action lawsuit for knowingly producing a phone that is not fit for purpose.
For the viewers that don't wanna watch a 6 min video: Turn on adaptive brightness for peak brightness in sunlight. For the content creator, you have such freakin great cinematography, information, and editing, your only problem is being too long.
This is very misleading. I have a S21U and the brightness will go to Maximum whether its on adaptive or manual. It is capped when indoors but the ambient sensor works on both modes and the display will get to the maximum brightness if ambient light detector works well, doesnt matter if you choose adaptive or manual.

Uhhh, Adaptive Brightness isn't "hidden", you can access it with one swipe & one tap on the drop-down menu. Spent so long on what could've been quick to explain. Literally all this does is show a feature that's been standard on all phones since like 2006 or so. & this still doesn't address the issue of the bright conditions not properly activating the super-bright mode. Other than "carry around a flashlight" I guess... :/
Hello Saki I noticed something very strange when I have 'Sensors Off' on my Fold 3. When phone is folded and I'm allowing landscape mode, the phone will only rotate to landscape in one direction and remains upside down if I flip it 180 degrees. just an FYI. JRW

I think it's because of Android settings. On my phone the maximum brightness is in /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/max_brightness shows 4096, but in setting_system_screen_brightness (Where the value of the maximum brightness setting) the value is 255

I wish the phone would let THE USER control the brightness who knows what they want and when. LET ME SET IT TO THE TRUE MAX IF I WANT. The adaptive brightness actual strains my eyes. Screen burn in is rarely an issue for most modern OLED phones. Aa long as the sxreen is constantly moving, burn-in is very unlikely.@@beastmaster6946

No, burn in is usually permanent, unfortunately.
For future reference you should always have the adaptive brightness turned on to prevent any screen burn in

No, the sunlight is enough to activate max brightness.

The brightness controller including the adaptive brightness setting on samsung galaxy s20 fe totally sucks. I wish the phone would let THE USER control the brightness who knows what they want and when. LET ME SET IT TO THE TRUE MAX IF I WANT. The adaptive brightness actual strains my eyes. I have working irises that adjust the amount of light coming in to my eyes afterall! Just let them do what they do and let me adjust the brightness to max if I want.
Oh and I forgot to mention that even if you turn off adaptive brightness, it still changes automatically anyway! Bs
Can you help me with my Samsung A23 it uses the front camera as an ambiant light sensor and it's horrible, it dims suddenly and randomly even in direct sunlight

I tried it on my A71 it doesn't need the ADAPTIVE BRIGHTNESS once there is a light that strikes in the ambient sensor it goes to the max even with adaptive on or off
