    Excellent explanation of Francis Turbine. I want to thank you for this very informative and helpful video. I would like to request you to upload a video about cross flow turbine. Where a multi-stage centrifugal pump will act as water source, flow rate and net head and pen stroke for the turbine. The suction head of the pump will be 1.5 m and the vertical length Between sump level and parallel center line of the turbine runner is 5 m. Please upload a video explaining required motor power and flow rate and head of pump to get 30 KW power output. Thank you.

    Congratulation for the explanation. I have only one question, the direction of the u2 and vr2 are not wrong? the movement of the blade is counter clock so the direction of the speed is the same.

  • @poulmack
    @poulmack 7 лет назад

    Very good lecture. Why you analyze everything for one blade only? Is it not necessary to multiply the power by the number of blades? I understand that almost all blades are impulsed by water simultaneously.

    Actually I'm writing a Francis turbine and pelton turbine report, pelton efficiency is between 50to80 while Francis is between 4 to 17 percent, I don't know what's wrong with the Francis one. I'm thinking whether the we put turbine vertically instead of landscape position matters.

    Sir my question is regarding turbochargers used on automobiles . The turbine side on a turbo is similar to or basically is a Francis turbine right ? My goal is to amplify boost and I was planning on using nozzling to do so . So my question is ..is it advisable to increase the velocity of the exhaust gas which will enter through the penstock ? Plz respond

    • @RohitChowdhury_sajaysaini
      @RohitChowdhury_sajaysaini  6 лет назад

    • @RohitChowdhury_sajaysaini
      @RohitChowdhury_sajaysaini  6 лет назад
