I’m Brazilian and Portuguese and I’ve been to Italy many times. I now live in the US with my American husband just like you guys and I relate to Alessio so much. I also understand and love Italian culture, food and fouettés (I’m a professional ballerina 🩰) so your cheese 🧀 video was magnífico! And I’ll never forget being in a little cafe/bar in a small town watching Roma play and trash talking with all the people -the nicest people, treated me with so much love and respect especially when we all collectively started hating on Messi together.

"John Travolta make me, Pulp Fiction make me want to do it. That was my American dream" He's truly Americanized...they grow up so fast 😂. I mean of course Shake Shack's tiramisu shake is good, they're from NEW YORK after all! Italian capital of the US as you found out in your NYC vlogs. They started as a simple hot dog cart at Madison Square Park in 2001 before getting permission to build a kiosk in 2004, which is still there today! That's why they have hot dogs on the menu!
Similar story with McDonald's! The McDonald brothers first bought a theatre to run in Glendora, CA and named it The Beacon Theatre after the famous one in NYC because they thought it would do well...this being the Great Depression, it didn't. With a $5,000 loan, the McDonald brothers started a hot dog stand in 1937 by an airfield in Monrovia, calling it The Airdome, and they targeted spectators who were watching the planes. This was a success, but they predicted that in the future, they'd need to appeal to cars. So they moved to San Bernardino, changed the name to McDonald's, and Ray Kroc made them expand. But unlike Shake Shack, McDonald's doesn't have hot dogs. Why? Because Ray Kroc thought you'd never know what was inside of them.

From California and In-N-Out is awesome because it’s always consistent and fresh and not greasy. They have a secret menu but other than that if you’re going off of choices, the do burgers fries and shakes. Not fair to compare with such a large menu. Shake shacks have closed here in Az and people liked it I heard but it was super greasy 🤷‍♀️

I’m originally from Illinois, and our favorite burger joint was steak ‘n Shake. You were never allowed to call the hamburger. It was a steak burger, and there were two steak and shakes in my near area, and we would make them our cruising joints, but now that I’m in Oregon, they don’t have any, and I wonder if they’re still as good back home.

Here's a Shake Shack hot dog fact: In Shake Shack's state of origin, a hot dog is LEGALLY considered a sandwich! Why? For tax reasons! According to the New York State Department of Taxation, a sandwich can be cold or hot and is prepared and ready to be eaten, whether made on bread, on bagels, on rolls, in pitas, in wraps, or otherwise, and regardless of the filling or number of layers. To be subject to sales tax, a sandwich can be as simple as a buttered bagel or roll, or as elaborate as a six-foot, toasted submarine sandwich. It lists hot dogs as an example. This means that for sales tax purposes in New York, a hot dog is considered taxable and thus a sandwich.
Although Frankfurters are definitely a German thing, hot dogs became an American thing thanks to German immigration. Its exact origin is debated. Some say it was Harry M. Stevens who created it while working at the Polo Grounds in 1901 after running out of waxed paper. Some say it was immigrant Feuchtwanger from Frankfurt am Main who pioneered the practice in the Midwest after a suggestion from his wife to put it in a bun so he didn't have to give his customers gloves to hold them, and sold them on the streets of St. Louis. While others say it was another immigrant Charles Feltman who invented it as a convenient way for beachgoers to enjoy frankfurters without the hassle of plates or silverware in 1867 at Coney Island.

There are many other burger restaurants in the United States. Red Robin, Culver's, Hardee's/Carl Jr's. Wendy's, A&W, Whataburger, Arby's which is more roast beef and ham & cheese. Sonic, which is a drive in. (served in your car) A&W used to be that way. A&W is known for their root beer (soda) similar to sasperala. In & Out Burger. There are probably others that I can't think of right now. Everyone has their preferred burger place.

I can't get either Shake Shack or In-n-Out where I live, so on a trip I took this summer, I was able to try them both. Ordered within 10 minutes of each other and did a side by side comparison. On both taste and price, In-n-Out won by a very large margin for me. Maybe I went to the wrong Shake Shack or it was just a bad day for them, but In-n-Out was superior. I ordered a double cheese burger combination at both stores.

My mother was from Nicaragua. My dad was American. So you both remind me of my parents. My mother had a very thick accent until the day. The Lord took her home. At 93. Miss her so much miss both of them. 🥲♥️

Truffles are not meant to be put on everything or made into so many variations. Real truffles have a taste that doesn’t need any enhancement.

People always compare the two. I dont get this.
Shake shack is a high end burger who competes with 5 guys for quality and COST.
IN-N-OUT is a fast food burger place that uses fresh ingredients.

Did you guys try Five Guys? That's also on the east coast. Feel that's the winner! But their fries are not as good at shake shack.

So all of this stuff is from Shake Shack? The burgers did look good and I would like the mushroom burger. But I am loyal to In 'N Out.

I think Alessio will like the fact that In-N-Out Burger only has restaurants in certain areas to keep the food fresh as possible so there's no Frozen long-distance driving and it keeps cost down also and besides who wants a bunch of options that could all be flops when you have a simplified menu where everything is fresh and there's a secret menu you got to get it double cheeseburger animal style and if you're fancy you can even have it with lettuce instead of a bun but I forget what kind of style that's called I think it's called carnivore style and I'm not sure and you get the fries animal style I don't like their fries I think they're too thin but at least they're fresh and not frozen and they're made from real potato not like McDonald's we're in the fries are cold they're Hollow because of all the chemicals disappearing and evaporating from the hot oil

You need to eat Shake Shake at Shake Shake!! Don't you think things are better right when they are cooked? Like that cheese was at least melted when they served it but it got cold. But it is just plain cheese sauce.

Don’t worry about truffles in season without even looking I’m sure it has zero truffle in it at all. All “natural flavors”

I love In-N-Out for it’s simplicity and quality ingredients but Shake Shack has the better flavor 🤷🏽‍♀️
