Keep your chin up Rob and any other person reading this, i can sympathise as i had over 40 years in farming and had some insane years but we got through it.
Great video as usual Rob as always interesting hope the weather gets better for us all bit worried about you asking me to remember the filter number I can't even remember what I did yesterday best wishes to you all and Spud of course
If Joe Bloggs knew what farmers have to pay for a full filter change, & asked to pay the bill, they would shit their pants!! We were JD operators mostly, if you didnt use their RIP OFF COSTS for filters & their oil, they lost the warranty.
good to see you again rob. yes the seasons have changed alot over the last few years you do notice it. but hey keep your chin up im sure you will get there in the end and every thing will work out. {i hope} 🤞 look foward to the next one👍
Rob with regards filters the reality is there are only so many filter manufacturers world wide. Most Agricultural machinery use either Donaldson or Baldwin filters liveried up as their own make. As you know worked for MF dealership many moons ago and even back then the dealers would insist you use OE parts and a specific brand of oil to keep the warranty in place. However as I understood it (and confident it’s not changed) provided you use filters to the same specification as OE (which as above they are likely too) and oil that meets OE specification (which again reputable brands will either meet of exceed) then I fail to see how it would void warranty. The reality is if dealers didn’t try to increase profit margins on parts (and labour) then the aftermarket world and independents wouldn’t be as lucrative! Glad you’re all well, the last few years have been difficult for many and so far this year hasn’t improved things!!
Hope your well paddy , yep it’s a rip off , and it’s all the get the most money out of the farmers/farms. Weather wise ….. it’s shocking, I’ve certainly seen a change in seasons in my short time farming , hotter weather window for sure …..
Hi Rob and family, it’s rather wet everywhere! I’ve had backend oil up to my armpit before now! So I know how you feel. I know that Pecks are your local company but Doe’s is only at littleport, stay positive buddy things will dry soon. Fenland Rob
Typical maintenance day ☔️ 😅 shame about CNH dealer gone 😢 maybe time to look into JCB on hire 🤔 shame they don’t make combines! Still nice to see a RUclips channel not sell, sell, sell just down to earth blogging.
I found Norfolk Fords when looking for videos on Tractors smilar tomy 1986 Ford 4110 4wd. His Ford 4610 came up. Who and where is your new New Holland dealership ?😊
Just do your own thinng Rob . Your doing OK. .I would sooner look at your videos now & again. They are more fresh . Than the ones you see every day they start to get boring. And all they seem interested in is selling you merch .going to be a lot of changes in Agricultural. And not for the better. Hang on to the old combine for a bit longer . Lol Love for me and my bro to have a look around. And buy a bag of spuds has well .
Not good , most people are done combining this way , but it’s non stop rain , with 2/3 days if your lucky dry , so we have to harvest spuds in not ideal conditions
Always jobs that needs to be caught up on when weather bad Hopefully a weather window will appear soon to complete potato harvest and get winter drilling done Not good loosing local back up machinery dealers. Colour change maybe if one’s local. 50mm of rain last couple of days with me M18 /M180 junction
