Wait is the mag removable if it is I have suggestions what if you put a spring well long enough in the mag and it doesn't have to be strong you don't want to create to much tension on the mag do you ?
That looks like fun! I wonder if it's also possible to make the bow "arms" look like a compound bow type, or recurve type... for "style" reasons.

Old reemacter, I used to pull a 100lb bow. That’s a fun little bow.
