I’m a new subscriber and female upholsterer, the work is hard on my hands. I don’t have your skill set I try everyday to learn something new about the old ways. My grandfather was a master upholsterer. 😂Your work is beautiful and the old ways and old masters were true craftsmen. I look forward to more of your videos.
Amazing! Simply beautiful! Such skill and dedication to perfection. I see many similar chairs in thrift stores, which desperately need re-upholstering and feel sad that I don't have the skill or patience or time at the moment to restore them. Thank you for showing us what it takes to restore one of these pieces, and not making it seem like one waves a magic wand and poof it's done.
FANTASTICO LAVORO, REALIZZATO CON CAPACITÀ, CONOSCENZA E PROFESSIONALITÀ, UTILIZZANDO I MATERIALI PERFETTI, NON STRATI ORRIBILI DI GOMMAPIUMA !!! COMPLIMENTI AD " UN' ARTIGIANA SAPIENTE" E UN GRAZIE DI CUORE PER LA CONDIVISIONE DELLA SUA VERA ARTE !!! ❤👏👏👏👏👏
I totally agree with @Joans20thCentury's comment! Step by step, it was awesome to watch. Yes, of course, the effort was well worth it! Thank you for sharing!
Wow! Dedication, skill, meticulous work!!! And you look so young!!! You certainly mastered your learning classes and turned out from apprentice to professional! Well spent years learning! And if I may add, you're not working in a workshop which makes me admire you even more!!
Thank you! The next chair will be exactly the same as this one, so I will work without the camera on my fingers haha. Another video in about a year maybe? Thanks for subscribing!
Beautiful work, good editing, and stylishly but sensibly dressed. This is a fulling enjoyable video. Looking forward to what else you post. Subscribing 🎉
I have done this once many years ago - I will never do it again - this christmas I renovated and painted a pair of brown fleemarket chairs - the result was good. But I have to keep them. It takes so much time that if you want to get paid for your work - they would cost a fortune. I have found out after painting for many years that I have stopped working and exhibiting for free. I´d rather keep my paintings.
I totally agree. I’ve got another day job so I can do this pure for fun and practice. I gave this chair to my parents in law, they were so grateful, it was a true pleasure to make this for them ☺️
You are a wise woman. Yes it is such a pleasure to do things with your hands and a true artist can not abstain from that. I wrote the comment partly to remind us all "artists" of the value of our work. It seems like you have understood - it took me 67 years😂.
The most proficient upholstery work I’ve seen on RUclips.
Thank you, that’s very kind!

A real artisan at work....skilled thoughtful restoration.
Thank you!
It's absolutely beautiful. This is what happens when an object is put into the hands of someone who knows what she is doing. Kudos.
WOW! Beautifully done! A true labor of love! ❤ Fascinating to see the process!

Amazing job! Waiting for more videos. Hugs from Brazil!
Richtig richtig klasse, tolles Handwerk. Well done 😍
Beautiful craftsmanship!
That fabric is definitely not my cup of tea, but the caliber of your talent and workmanship is seriously outstanding. Truly, truly beautiful.
Beautiful work!
Artistry. Great skill, creating such a beautiful and comfortable armchair.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

You did a beautiful job…I enjoyed watching and found the lack of talking and music relaxing! I subscribed to your channel…Happy New Year!
Complimenti e molto brava 😊
That was fun to watch (I enjoyed how meticulous you are in your efforts). The chair looks amazing.
so very beautiful
I can't believe the amount of detailed work you did on that chair! You are a true artist!
I like that dark cross stitch you do..that's your personal touch, I've not seen other's do it..😊
Wow! Dedication, skill, meticulous work!!! And you look so young!!! You certainly mastered your learning classes and turned out from apprentice to professional! Well spent years learning! And if I may add, you're not working in a workshop which makes me admire you even more!!
By the time you were done, I had fallen in love with the fabric. Awesome work.
Marvelous!!!

💚💚💚
Beautiful job !
That was a lot of hard work, but very well done. Bravo! How long does it take you to finish a chair like the one in the video?
Beautiful ❤
Beautiful the smile on your face says it all. ❤
😊 thank you
Beautiful chair. Exceptional work. Good luck! New subscriber from Holy Land.❤
Thank you so much!
BEAUTIFUL
The smile on your face is so beautiful ❤❤❤
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful work. Was it typical to keep the webbing exposed underneath or would there be a cambric cover over it?
Beautiful work! I’m a seamstress so understand working with your hands. I am wondering how much hand lotion you have to use?!
Haha I indeed needed to take care of my hands more than I used to. The crin (soft kind of hay) made my hands really soft though!
Amazing amount of meticulous attention to perfection. Was that regular craft hot glue at the end? Won’t that harden and separate?
Thank you so much! And yes I did use regular hot glue. They used it at upholstery school, so I believe it’s good enough!
Frankly speaking, this tape and glue was most unpleasant surprise at the end of magnificent job... why not use the metallic nails that you took off?!
@@cleonnnsthis tape looks ugly, why did you attach it after such a perfect restoration?
❤👏👏👏
How long did this job take?

🏠🇧🇷🇧🇷🥰🥰😍🏆🪑🪑👏🏻👏🏻💜💜
Bona feina.
Oh, is it because of the curved legs?
Considered reupholstering a chair of my own. But I'm too far removed from this level of craftsmanship. Think I'll pass.
Not a Louis XVI armchair. More of a Louis XV style. Nice job anyway.
