Love this tralier, it bloody blew me away seeing this, it's what you call a game tralier! I remember getting the demo disc and looking through, I was a crash fan and when I saw this, waw, waw, was!!! like.... he went from island hopping, space then too this! I remember this tralier playing the video tralier again and again. I've not seen a tralier that blew me away sense, except metal gear solid games but other then that. The music fits just well to showing a game character and potential of excitement.
Si a chi lo dici, i dischi neri, i dischi con tutte quelle demo dei giochi da provare ecc, ora invece (ma già da anni) tutto è cambiato e non è più cosi, era meglio prima imo, e di molto anche!!
Matehb HD Gaming It was 38! Because I remember the one before it had the demo of Tombi on it :) The best Demo was number 42 with Metal Gear Solid, because it came with a ton of Net Yaroze games on xD
+darkshade2k7 I remember when I was child I bought PlayStation magazine every month because my parents did not want buy me the videogames because they were too expensive or I could just buy one or two per year :D Then I had fun just playing demo videogames
The song coupled with the gameplay sold me on getting it first time I watched this. Nostalgic-wise, this still holds up for me, even today. Although I can't speak for everyone.
I remember this on a PS1 demo disc that had really nice music on the selection screen, and, it came with the Spyro The Dragon video clip and one for Tekken (I think?), and demos for Kula World and MediEvil! XD

3 things I noticed about this beta that changed for the final game 1: The bonus lift in Gee wiz was a bonus hatch instead and took you a futuristic bonus level. Was this just a test or a scrapped location? Who knows. 2: The small rideable dinosaur appeared in both Bone yard and Dino might. 3: The warp room time portal upon arriving in a level was completly different, a bit more empty it seemed. 4: When Crash's legs we're cut in half, they actually feel down in the chasm instead just floating in midair.
Such a classic trailer for a game made by University Interactive and Naughty Dog the first time i saw this a demo disc from memory lane and I have no idea but the music reminds me of old spy films like the 007 one's for example.
Anyone think the music in this trailer is the source of Josh Mancell's inspiration for Crash 3's main theme tune? Honestly makes me wish someone did a cover of the theme in the style of James Bond's music.
@@Ssfgs I remember watching a video about crash bandicoot warped cut content and that bonus you're talking about is a cut bonus area for the level gee wiz it was later changed
Wow, thanks for the title! I thought it was composed by Naughty Dog, but it doesn't sound anything like what they would. I came here just for the song but the trailer footage is awesome! ^^
@@notpsx well, i thought this because of the Mad Bombers level, the HUD is the same of the July prototype showing 0/0 planes destroyed. Besides, this prototype have only this level in the fifth room, I think they made it just to appear in the trailer

I always wanted to try that lab part when you fall down that hole in the medevil level. It looks so cool! Showing cortex behind the scenes of all of it as he mingles the timelines.
Did anyone notice that Vicarious Visions based Gee Whiz in the N. Sane Trilogy on this trailer instead of the final version? In this trailer and N. Sane, they have pink sky. While in the final version, it has a dark orange sky.
Had this on an old ps1 demo disc, I like the music so I used to play it a lot. It only occurs to me now it's a blatant rip off of 'Peter Gunn Theme' ahaha
Wow. When I was an even younger kid I would watch this all the time. For the music of course. Also, I was always fascinated by the medieval 'bonus' in the trailer. When I was about 7 years old I was convinced it was in the game and I went on youtube to search for it. Now I know what a beta is XD
+Nakke Kakke I read in Wikipedia that the first version of that level had a bonus area like the one in this video, but they changed it because it was too different from the medieval ambientation. This video is just the trailer, and the videogame was not still launched so they still could edit it
Ah the good old days when game trailers actually showed 100% gameplay.
Ah, so Crash 3 originally had the same bonus rooms like in Crash 2, where you drop down from a question mark and land into one.
I remember watching this trailer way back in the late 1990's on a PS1 demo disc! Great stuff. :)
Me too

Why they removed the lab assistant riding the triceratops :(

These footages, in except of the subterranean bonus stage, were probably made using the July 17 1998 prototype disc.
No, July prototype is two months newer than this build judging by the game elements, level design & Crash‘s shadow.

Someone should do a remake of this video but using N Sane Trilogy’s gameplay and with 144p quality to capture the video’s retro feel.
The finest.
I'm wondering why they used in Gee Wiz the textures from Double Header?
I like especially the music ^.^
