This game made me obsess over time attacks in future games. Collecting all the platinum relics was so freaking hard, but at the end of the day, so satisfying to have finally seen that save in which I knew I did EVERYTHING.

And now, I read that the "N.Sane Trilogy" will include the relics challenge in Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2.

Greatest game ever created and you polished it off with every awesome run down. I really wanna fire it up again on my PS3 (still have all my psone games and thank god my PS3 is backwards compatible). I love that they are remaking it for PS4 but you still can't beat the legendary classics. The graphics to me look just as dope.

There's a glitch at 36:37 where you can go over the gap with the speedboost if you cross the gap at a specific point (near the very edge of the road). That lets you skip the ramp+gap and keep the speedboost.

Nicely done sir, I got them all years ago, but its always fun watching someone else also get all Platinums, :) my best time on under Pressure was 55 seconds, which i think is awesome considering the developer's time in 57 seconds, :D
The first time I ever did the time trials for both Eggipus Rex and Hot Coco I got the platinum relics. In fact, they were the first times I had ever gotten platinum relics in the game. I had no idea what the time limits were for even sapphire, and since they are secret levels meant for the hardcore/skilled fans, I assumed the time trials would be difficult so I rushed through them, and I guess it paid off. I didn't even hit nearly the same amount of time crates you did in Hot Coco, I just went straight to getting rid of the Nitros and hit whatever was on the way there and on the way back.
actually, in eggipus rex, you get platinum no matter what.
Actually, you can get the others (at least according to the Crash Wiki), but you'd probably have to go purposefully slow. And I wasn't saying it was hard to get either one, I'm well aware they're probably the easiest platinum relics in the game, I was just surprised when I got them.

this is so unsatisfying to watch, but also informative: I did complete the game to 105% (or did it go even higher like 110/115% with the hidden and bonus levels?) but I've always been convinced that you could not get platinum if you got stuck even for a moment or missed a box, which you do plenty of.
I can not describe the sadness I felt the last time I did a playthrough of this game, discovering how worse I got with age; it was truly depressing.

Eggipus Rex and Hog Ride are the only levels I've ever been able to Platinum

Yeah man, this jet ski levels are awfully hard to platinum. You can make a perfect run and still be 2 seconds away from the target time. So annoying

@@mrtnt1069 it's not the same time required for platinum in the Gee wiz level and probably other levels too. Maybe there is some difference between US-EU versions of the game

Thanks to ProsafiaGaming, thanks to I learned how to pass levels on time, and how I had a problem with completing some level on time, I always went to this episode and repeated it a few times until it finally caught, I'm glad that I have Crash Bandicoot 3 completed at 105.

+Joel Sinclair Aku Aku is forbidden in Hot Coco. If you enter the level with an Aku Aku mask, it will be gone before you spawn. Also, you can do it in under 2 seconds by using the waves to do a little hop over the nitros.

I hate that the PAL relic times are usually stricter than the NTSC times. That made this quest much harder for me! Why did they do that?
yeah and a few things are missing like the flamethrower guy in tomb time before the third aku aku box... they got it easy xD
Robinson2511 its because of the clock speeds. the NTSC version runs at a faster clock speed than the PAL I'm pretty sure. that's why the world records are so much lower for NTSC times I'm pretty sure.
Nop. Ironically in running levels, PAL WRs are lower (5 seconds I guess. That's so much!) than the NTCS WRs. In PAL, Crash goes faster than in NTCS when he is running
PAL system has a lower refresh rate, so basically it's justified

I just completed this 105% but from those 30 relics, i got only 13 platinum and 17 gold, but you got them all like a boss
You actually need only all gold relics (no secret levels included), all platinums are just additional
Spent the past 6 days getting all crystals, gems and platinum relics...
Time to start wrath of cortex and do it all over again!

Tried to emulate your run of Level 3 Orient Express I got a best time of 17:46 in the NTSC version!

Is it because I play on an emulator that I can't beat most platinum trial or what ? I've been playing several times but there must be some errors or bugs to not let me play it perfectly ! So frustrating !
I play on an emulator and I've been able to get all platinum relics just fine.
It took me 9 years to get the platinum for hang em' high and i finnaly got it with 43:53 seconds

I got it Platinum in my first try the Area 51 relic, but others levels like Level 13 - High Time - 19:13 I have tried for hours and I can't get it.

Dude, awesome job with these! Do you play this on the ps3? I just bought crash 1 & 3 from ps store (2 I have on disc). I have a feeling that I'll never get the 105% cause of the damn time trials :D well, I guess I just need a ton of practise and some luck :P Also one thing I'm curious about is that I noticed some differences with the enemies/obstacles of the leves compared to my game.. maybe it's just cause you're at a different region?

Dude. Dont lie, in Hot coco you can make still 9hrs and got platinium relic. Thats the only map in wich you can go to the bathroom to make some poop and still got that relic. Anyways, awesome your relics. Your so good as me bro. GL
It depends on the version. NTSC (the American one) is a free platinum, PAL (the European one) requires beating time from the video.

Hot Coco was an easy one for me. Just go the other way as the level is non-linear. I got the platinum and I barely got any time crates.

Get all gold relics, including in both secret levels, then walk up to Coco and she will give you the last gem.

I got the version where you have to hit the wizards twice, and I think your version is nerfed a bit on a few lvls
