Sometimes things do not go to plan, Today the Dev Server with War Thunder provides us some interesting moments - strange things were captured live during my Stream yesterdie.

This is what they were hinting at with the aircraft carriers in the trailer
Like the soviets did before the ww2 and when germany invaded the USSR
Now we need to implement the Tom-tom or FICON systems
Imagine a mosquito helping a b17 go back to base after the b17 loos 2 engines
This most likely result on Rusky TB-3 bringing back its own support fighters (most likely 2 I-16) back to airfield.
The many times, I've had wingmates, with a busted wing, which I could have carried home to base.
The hardest part would be landing I think

@@SMN-ct9gl Actually, now that I think about it, I believe the plane on top of the other would just fall to the ground since any landed aircraft becomes intangible

If this is extended to helis we can finally move ASU-57s via Mi-4AVs.

They would need to extend the boundaries, otherwise the poor asu can just get put out if his vechile because a heli picked him up.
I feel like you could have some real fun putting tanks on top of planes.

Reminds me of the time an F-86 pushed another back to friendly waters during the Korean War. The pilot being pushed was sadly tangled in their parachute and drowned.

And this is.... Actually pretty realistic, it just didn't really happen IRL much because.... Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. Spitfires *regularly* took out V1's by tipping them over with their wings though during WWII
Did you hear about the two B-17s who got intangled together its very interesting lol it looked like a huge plane
supposedly they didn't actually hit the v1 with their wing, just got it close to stop airflow to the v1 and veer it off course. i remember hearing that somewhere.
No of I remember correctly they got close to them so the turbulence would get the computer confused so it would crash

Its not a bad idea, you could cary the a me163 or the BI-1 with a bomber to extend their range
They did that in real life with the me163 and it broke the sound barrier
Im now wondering if you can put a 163 inside a bombbay

During the Korean was a Sabre pilot pushed his wingman's crippled Sabre back to friendly territory. Roughly 60 miles or so.
Tu4 shuttles out of fuel me163s back to base lol

Being able to tow aircraft like u can do with tank would change the way people play air rb and give some fresh life to that game mode, imagine towing 163s to battle and then they disconect do his fighter stuff and them u help him glide to the airfield How cool is that.
This is cool but like Damn does the game look like a completely diffrent game thats honstly what excites me the most in the patch now on the other hand the file size of this patch is just deadly

There was actually a tale I heard of a B17 carrying another B17. Cool that they added that. Now I can help my fighters as me264 by carrying them home
I think now, since we can tow ground corpses and planes can do this, the ability to send out a tow line and pull them like a glider.

In WW2 two B17's actually got stuck together and flew together. Pilots managed to make a crash landing
Fun fact: Ramming with motor blades to cut the enemies' weak points (especially control cables) was a real tactic used in ww2.

This literally happened in ww2 with two American Flying Fortress where one collided to the bottom of the b52 and got stuck.

There are a few stories in the Korean war and Vietnam war, of allied pilots pushing their allies through the tail pipe, or even arrester hook to get them over into friendly airspace when damaged.

hmmm. this seems to raise the possibility of adding kc-135's and in flight refueling. maybe allow to refuel and rearm? i know rearming isn't historically realistic, but allows for a gamble. quick reload and rearm in the sky while defenseless? or go land and be protected by AA? if i can fly a 135, i will throw stupid amounts of money at war thunder

I’m pretty sure this happened in real life between 2 b17s, they got stuck stacked on each-other. Who would’ve thought? In real life two planes slowly touching wouldn’t result in instant combustion :D
