I remember watching Nancy on PBS many years ago and I didn't have a sewing machine, I just liked to watch her. I thought maybe someday I will learn to sew; I didn't realize at the time that day wouldn't come until I was 60 yrs old it started with covid masks and now I make bags and I love it. Nancy was my inspiration then and now you are. I started with a Pfaff Tiptronic 2020 and now I use the Juki DNU 1541s. When I first got it I thought I bit off more than I could chew but now that I have found you, I feel a little more confident about using it. Thank you so very much.
oh I loved watching her as well! you are a great teacher! you are patient in your instructions and thorough! I just found you and have subscribed with notifications! lol
Thank you ! Great video, I just ordered my Juki DNU-1541s yesterday, can’t wait for it to arrive. Did you get the needle positioner on your machine? Where did you get the drop down edge guide ? Thanks again.
Thank you! Mine came with the speed reducer instead. I preferred this on both my machines. I believe my drop down edge guide came from Sunny Sewing also but not sure. My Thor 1341 had it already installed.
Hi, I received my new to me Juki 1341 this week and I’m currently stuck on threading and bobbin winding and inserting it properly along with needle and foot instal. I believe it is very similar to the 1541 but us novices need help!!! I have searched RUclips for days and there is not one on the 1341 Juki cylinder machine. I know you have a 1341 would you consider making one please. I’m sure that alone could drive many more followers.
I will! I thread my 1341 just like the 1541 where I tie off the threads at the top so they are connected. I never have to rethread the whole machine any more.
I have another question lol! I sure hope that you don't get tired of me asking so much. I own a Juki DU 1181-N and I'm thinking that maybe I should trade it for the Juki 1541s because I had some problems with thickness. I did see a video and it looks as if the 1541s does a much better job in bag making and thickness in general. Do you have any knowledge in the difference of the two machines, please? I plan on doing business with Sunny when I'm ready. Thank you
I bought this machine 3 weeks ago....was all set up to start a travel bag and I took a fall and broke my wrist! Now I have 6 weeks before I can play....rats
Oh Crap! Corinne! Well I do understand! I had hip replacement surgery at some point along the way and was out of commission for a couple months. If I can encourage you at all it would be to watch lots of videos and structure your goal around getting set up for what is ahead. This is something we rarely have time for when we are sewing and doing our daily stuff anyways. Spend some time dreaming and researching. I like to research high end bags for inspiration and ideas. You can even start a Pinterest page for your Dream folder...whatever it takes to keep you going through this tough time. Stay in touch with the sewing groups and find ways to inspire others...nothing like helping others to keep your uplifted! You can always stay in touch with me and friend me on Facebook, that is what I am here for! Sending you healing vibes for sure! This too shall pass! Hugs!

Thank you!!! I appreciate!
Nice job, most of the 1541 YT videos have errors on bobbin or threading the machine. You did great !!
Thanks Mike!!! I appreciate you!

I miss spoke you have a Thor 1341 - same. I see on another video you pull the thread through… oh well.

Welcome! Eva!
Thank you so so much. I was stuck, it wouldn't catch the bobbin
Oh Joy! Super happy this helped!

The 1541 has a triple compound walking foot. The needle, feeddog, and presserfoot all walk! I would chat with Sam about all the other differences!
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome!!!
in what direction does the bobbin spin in the case? Clockwise or counter-clockwise?
If you are looking at the bobbin, it spins clockwise as you turn it.
Helpful but need some better camera angles
Thanks Doug! I just got a new video camera...when I return to filming you may just get some new angles! This was filmed ages ago! Much appreciated!
@@SandcastleDesigns still very helpful, I do patches on bike vests
@@dougmiller5473 now this sounds interesting to me!
