      I, for one, would LOVE to hear her hit that high note live. I'm pretty sure she could do it. As I mentioned in a previous comment, that note was pure, raw GENIUS! It was a brutal, tensile RUSH that sent shock waves through damned near anyone who heard it. Brilliant!

    Ok is kesha, KESHA, for ages she was called one of the worst singers and it turned out she can sing and her voice is very powerful, even if that super high note is a risk and goes lower, is still a consistent singer. Good thing her talent is no longer hidden behind the crazy party girl image.

      That's not exactly an easy song to sing. Dodging that note and singing it in a comfortable key live will preserve her voice long term. Can you blame her for doing that? It would be nice if she sang it live, and I think she should try, but that will likely not happen until the emotion begins to wear off and she can control her voice a bit more to attempt it a few times, then let it be >.>

    • @kichan
      @kichan 6 лет назад +28

      Not to mention some of them can really wreck your voice depending on your vocal range. I've heard stories of singer's managers making them turn it down a notch while performing. And then some artists, like Hayley Williams and Kesha, see a note they want to hit for a song while recording it, even if it's not easily achievable and go for it, but don't do it during performances.

      She's a lyric soprano. An A5 is nothing for her lol. The reason she messed up is because of poor breath control at that moment. Singing really is meant to be done standing up very still. But when you're a pop star all the moving around can ruin how well she keeps her voice mixed in her upper register instead of too anchored in her lower register. Thus why when she stopped and took a breath she hit it.

    If I were an artist I wouldn’t want to put stress on myself by putting unrealistic notes in my songs. An F6 in head voice?? Art Aspire Maybe she doesn’t do it because she can’t do it all the time. If you are gonna put hard notes in a song at least have some control. Mariah, Ariana, Demi, Tori, Christina, SoHyang and many other singers have hard notes in their song that extend from G5 to the 7th Octave but it’s not a stretch since they know how to hit the notes they put in their studio without much struggle and without CONSTANT dodging.

    1. Don't go after Whitney Houston. She's sang notes live that she's never done in studio.
    2. Kesha, as someone else said, is Kesha and that "F6" i believe is at the end of her vocal range, so every time she sings that song is a really big big risk to take and also it wouldn't be a really good idea for her voice to do that every time she does a live performance.
    3. Every single singer has the right to change the music and the notes he does for his sings as he/she pleases. No offence mate, but if someone chooses to do a C5 live instead of a E5 (chest note) from studio does not mean that they can or wont do it. :)

    Chrstina's F6 was my fave part of "Lady Marmalade". True story: one night at kamikaze karaoke, I got kinda buzzed with a few mixed drinks. So I got up to sing and it was "Lady Marmalade". I got through the entire song with almost no issues, and even managed to hit her F6 with almost no problem. It was glorious, but I had hell to pay the next day.

    I think people really forget how HARD singing live is, and also how much vocal strain it puts on singers to strain their voices night after night. Sure they can warm up, but it’s a burden on their vocals. Singer like Adele, Gaga, Cyndi Lauper - all great singers, all had vocal issues (nodules, etc).
    Knocking out a high chest note in the studio - a controlled, comfortable setting (and can also be electronically pitched up from a lower note, if needed) is so different from doing it in a live concert.
    They’re probably protecting their voices by not belting.
    Kesha could probably do the head voice note fine, but I imagine it’s a bit tricky if you’ve not warmed it up - then again, Kylie minogue hits a controlled Eb6 in Locomotion live, with good vibrato, so it’s not impossible...
    Also the whole C#5 stuff - they’re not hard notes to sing if they’re in your range. If they’re hard to sing and not in your register, then signing them is probably not a good idea!
    To me, a singer’s tone and phrasing is so much more important than how high they can sing or how much they can embellish a melody - the beauty is so often in the uniqueness of the person’s voice or the particular way they use it, not the notes they sing.

    • @iloveleblanc
      @iloveleblanc 6 лет назад +30

      Oscar Landgren whistle is like a disconnected note from all the others unlike super head voice which is connected and most opera singers can hit. Ariana can belt head voice without struggling but it's extremely hard for her and her technique is not perfect for these notes yet that's why she might damage her vocal cords. On the other hand Mariah can hit whistle register like it's nothing. Anyways i'm a lamb but i respect both artist because Ari is the voice of the generation.

    im here bc i love kesha and i just wanna say that when the song came out even kesha said that was really hard for her to hit that high note so was obvious that she would not try to sing it live

    Kesha has actually hit a note higher than the one in Praying live.

    Demi literally sounded the same and attempted the note on both and still slayed. Demi is such a VOCALIST!

    Keshas f6 could be head voice not whistle register being a Mariah fan it seems like head voice we don’t know until she gets the courage to sing it live
