@@lrnng I mean, it would still apply in three dimensions because you are still building over something and that something underneath will not have sunlight. A ecosystem that needs sunlight for survival will not survive then. If your not building over it, you are removing it. So in general it would apply in three dimensions.

Well, if you build tall, then there will be fewer ecosystems being destroyed because you are not building over the ecosystem.
