Gideon's defense srsly is very underrated. Look at this match (and many other matches too) his defense is amazingly solid. People only know gideon as "kevin's partner" and overlook him bcs of kevin's wild playstyle steal the spotlight. What people dont realize is kevin wont be where he is now without gideon, and the only one who can keep up with kevin's playstyle is gideon
Exactly. Where watanabe can seamlessly fit in with any doubles partner, kevin relies more on instinct and unorthodox/risky plays which is why it’s hard to pair him up with someone that is not gideon. Gideon is hands down legendary and most remarkable for being able to provide kevin the freedom to do his shenanigans.

@@Yoneyama88DPro valid. He shots more, cover the court more, and does all the big movements. Look at kevin nowadays, he needs to cover the backcourt more bcs of gideon's injury and clearly he doesnt have the stamina and power to cover the back as good as gideon

It would be a fault if it was old rule I guess? But the new 115 rule. And they're considered short. I think their height was 170 and 168 cm. So.. You could serve quite high if your as short as Yamaguchi akane(woman's single). I'm 167 myself and 115 is just around my lower chest.
